Greetings friends of Hive 7th art lovers.

I know that the euphoria of the film Dune has long since passed, because it has been released in theaters for some time now. I personally had not seen it until recently. I had not written about it because I wanted to let the ideas that the film has aroused in me rest a little in my spirit. But, if you have not seen the film, you should not worry because I do not intend to make any spoilers about it, because what I intend to address my reflection are the ideas that this film has aroused in me.

That is why the title I have thought of has been: "Dune: exploitation and ecology".

The ecological message of the film is incredible, personally it makes me reflect on the meaning of true value. It makes me wonder what is it that should really be valued? On the other hand, after watching the film I have interpreted historical and cultural elements of our human history.

In the story of Dune, which is incredibly loaded with elements that in some way are important to discover history in its process, I think this film has been thought out very well, nothing is put in just for the sake of it, but even if it is a prop, it reveals something important, even if it is in an indirect way.

In a futuristic world where a certain desert planet inhabited by the Fremen, a civilization that reminded me of the Essenes in antiquity, there is a mineral resource that for the Fremen is an important resource but not commercially but rather religiously, a resource that for the empire has a powerful value. Empire made up of noble houses or families attached to the will of the emperor.

There is a treasure in the middle of the desert for which different peoples are willing to fight for its control, this has given me a certain air to the crusades that have been for the holy city, where different religious factions in the name of God have tried to dominate certain territory in the middle of the desert.

In the film there is another element closely linked to religion, the group of women priestesses, a kind of religious community that with certain influences can spin the historical events.

Now, leaving aside the discourse a bit of the symbolism of the shooting, the film has great effects, a cast full of stars playing characters that are loaded with history and the film shows us I think very well each of the characters.

Going back to the ecology and exploitation in the film, it makes me think of the hundreds of war conflicts that have taken place in history because of natural resources. Resources that many times are exploited without any consideration or reflection. These are the issues that the movie Dune has made me think about.

I must confess that I enjoyed the movie very much, and that it caught my attention so much to the point that I have started reading the first of the books on which the movie is based. If you haven't seen this movie, you can't miss it. It is an incredible story and in this first installment they have only shown the tip of the iceberg. So if you haven't seen it, do it now.

Sé que la euforia del film Dune ha pasado hace rato, porque ya lleva tiempo que ha sido estrenada en las salas de cine. Personalmente no la había visto, sino hasta hace poco tiempo. No había escrito al respecto porque quería que las ideas que me ha suscitado la película reposarán un poco en mi espíritu. Pero, si ud querido no ha visto la película no debe preocuparse porque no pienso hacer ningún tipo de spoilers al respecto, porque en lo que pienso abordar mi reflexión son las ideas que me ha suscitado este film.

Por eso el título que he pensado ha sido: "Dune: explotación y ecología"

Es increíble el mensaje ecológico de la película, personalmente me hace reflexionar sobre el sentido del verdadero valor. Me hace preguntarme ¿Qué es lo que de verdad se debe valorar? Por otro lado, tras ver la película he interpretado elementos históricos y culturales de nuestra historia humana.

En la historia de Dune que increíblemente está cargada de elementos que de algún mundo son importantes para descubrir la historia en su proceso, creo que este film ha sido pensado muy bien, nada está puesto porque sí, sino que aunque sea de utilería devela algo importante aunque sea de manera indirecta.

En un mundo futurista dónde determinado planeta desértico habitados por los Fremen, una civilización que me ha acordado del los esenios en la antigüedad, hay un recurso mineral que para los Fremen es un recurso importante aunque no de manera comercial sino más bien religiosa, recurso que para el imperio tiene un poderoso valor. Imperio conformado por casas o familias nobles adjuntas a la voluntad del emperador.

Hay un tesoro en medio del desierto por el cual diferentes pueblos están dispuestos a luchar por su control, esto me ha dado un cierto aire a las cruzadas que han habido por la ciudad santa, dónde diferentes facciones religiosas en nombre de Dios han intentado dominar cierto territorio en medio del desierto.

En la película hay otro elemento estrechamente vinculado con la religión, el grupo de mujeres sacerdotisas, una especie de comunidad religiosa que con ciertas influencias pueden hilar el acontecer histórico.

Ahora bien, apartando el discurso un poco de lo simbólico del rodaje, la película posee grandiosos efectos, un elenco llenos de estrellas interpretando personajes que están cargados de historia y en la película nos muestra creo que muy bien cada uno de los personajes.

Volviendo sobre la ecología y la explotación en la película, me hace pensar en los cientos de conflictos bélicos que ha habido en la historia a causa de los recursos naturales. Recursos que muchas veces son explotados sin ningún reparo o reflexión. Estos temas son los que la película Dune me ha hecho pensar.

Debo confesar que disfruté mucho de la película, y que atrapó tanto mi atención al punto que he comenzado a leer el primero de los libros en los que se ha basado la película. Si no has visto esta película, no puedes dejar de verla. Es una historia increíble y que en esta primera entrega solo han mostrado la punta del iceberg. Así que si no la has visto, hazlo ya.
