Greetings friends of Hive 7th art lovers, today I want to talk about one of my favorite anime movies, as I wrote in the title of the publication, I want to talk about the movie "Your name", I have already seen it at least 3 times, the first time I saw it alone, the second with my brother and this was years ago, and the third was yesterday with my wife, since she had not seen it. I must confess that I have been trying for months to convince her that it is a good movie, what happens is that as she is not a big fan of anime, this Japanese movie did not call her attention, but yesterday I convinced her. And since I have recently re-watched the movie, what better excuse than that to tell you what the movie is about without spoilers.

If you've already seen the film, I'm sure you'll know what I'm talking about easily enough, but if not, I intend to convince you that Your Name is a cinematic installment that is definitely worth stopping to see.

It's just over an hour and a half long, and it's not to be missed. Now, I don't intend to ruin the movie by throwing any information about its plot, so dear reader, you can feel at ease if you haven't seen the movie that motivates this writing yet. Personally I must confess that I like Japanese culture and if you like Japanese culture, you will definitely like to see this film, the story focuses on showing simultaneously the life of two teenagers Taki who lives in the city of Tokyo, and on the other hand Mitsuha who lives in a rural village in the interior of Japan. I don't know if you know the popular Japanese belief that each of us is connected to someone by a red thread. Although this is not what is relevant to the story, it is a curious fact. I like how the film is about forgetting, and at different times forgetting is a problem for these guys' lives.

What is really curious is how the union between the stories of Mitsuha and Taki happens, and what happens to them is really interesting, although there are certain details that the film does not make it very clear, or well, there is an issue that is not known why or how it happens, but the development of the phenomenon that makes their lives intertwine is what is really captivating. Eventually something happens that I won't say what it is, but it gives an incredible twist to the story and the denouement of what happens will explode your head, and at that moment the theme of forgetting comes up again as a very interesting and disconcerting resource of the story. I have to say that this is one of the best anime movies I have ever seen. I highly recommend it, and if you haven't seen it you should do it now.

As a curious fact of the film that is not relevant if we talk about the central story, but when it happens it shows an aspect of the life of the young Mitsuha. In Japan, there is an alcoholic drink made from rice, it is known as Sake, or rice wine, although in Japan it is known as "Nihonshu", now, what is really curious is that they show us how Sake was made in the traditional way, I must confess that I have not tried this liquor and I would really like to, but I must be grateful that it is no longer made as it is shown in the movie. The traditional way of making Sake is that the people who prepared it, chewed the rice until it became a mush in their mouth and then spit it into the container where it would ferment and the starches would become sugars and these eventually thanks to the fermentation process become alcohol and this kind of mush was consumed, it had low alcohol content, but still the drink had a certain degree of alcohol. I really didn't know that this is how Sake was traditionally made, it's kind of disgusting I must say. I imagine the industry has changed the way this typical Japanese product is made.

Going back to the subject of the movie, another thing I like is that they show you more or less how is the life of a citizen of a big metropolis and how is the life in the countryside. The contrast of environments is very noticeable, the city is hectic and the mountain is quiet. The city is very gray, the mountain is pleasant and fluid. Another aspect that I liked a lot about the film is the value of friendship, to exercise the role of being a friend is something that goes beyond just saying I love you and accompanying each other in life, but that a friend is a support and a pillar in our life, and that it is not about having hundreds of friends, sometimes it is just a couple of friends and it is something fabulous. I would like to tell you more about "Your name" but I don't want to give away something important. Without more to tell you on this occasion I say goodbye, but with imperative force I tell you: "You must see the movie as soon as you can, if you haven't seen it".

Hablemos de la película “Your Name“ Sin spoilers

Saludos amigos de Hive amantes del 7mo arte, hoy quiero hablarles de una de mis películas de anime favorita, como lo he escrito en el título de la publicación, quiero hablarles de la película “Your name”, ya la he visto por lo menos unas 3 veces, la primera vez la ví solo, la segunda con mi hermano y esto fue hace años, y la tercera fue el día de ayer junto a mi esposa, ya que ella no la había visto. Debo confesar que llevo meses intentando convencerla de que es una buena película, lo que sucede es que como no es muy seguidora del anime, esta película japonesa no le llamaba la atención, pero ayer la convencí. Y como he vuelto a ver la película de manera reciente, que mejor excusa que esa para hablarles de que vá la película sin hacerle spoilers.

Si ya han visto la película seguro sabrán de qué hablo con mucha facilidad, pero si no, pretendo convencerlos de que Your Name es una entrega cinematográfica que sin dudas vale la pena detenerse a ver.

Su poco más de hora y media de duración no tiene desperdicio. Ahora bien, no pretendo arruinar la película arrojando algún dato de su trama, así que estimado lector puedes sentir tranquilidad en el caso de no haber visto aún la película que motiva este escrito. Personalmente debo confesar que me gusta la cultura japonesa y sí a tí te gusta la cultura japonesa, te gustará sin duda ver este film, la historia se centra en mostrar en simultáneo la vida de dos adolescentes Taki que vive en la ciudad de Tokio, y por otro lado Mitsuha que vive en un pueblo rural en el interior de Japón. No sé si conocen la creencia popular japonesa de que cada uno de nosotros está conectado a alguien mediante un hilo rojo. Aunque esto no es lo relevante de la historia, es un dato curioso. Me gusta como la película versa sobre el olvido, y en diferentes momentos el olvido es un problema para la vida de estos chicos.

Lo realmente curioso es cómo se da la unión entre las historias de Mitsuha y Taki, y los que les va ocurriendo es realmente interesante, aunque hay ciertos detalles que en la película no lo dejan muy claro, o bueno, hay un asunto que no se sabe porqué ni cómo ocurre, pero el desarrollo del fenómeno que hace que sus vidas se entrelacen es lo realmente cautivador. Eventualmente sucede algo que no diré lo que es, pero le da un giro increíble a la historia y el desenlace de lo que ocurre te va a explotar la cabeza, y en ese momento vuelve a surgir el tema del olvido como un recurso muy interesante y desconcertante de la historia. Particularmente debo decir que es una de las mejores películas de anime que he visto. La recomiendo muchísimo, y si no la has visto debes hacerlo ya.

Como dato curioso de la película que no es relevante si hablamos de la historia central, sino que cuando ocurre muestra un aspecto de la vida de la joven Mitsuha. En Japón, hay una bebida alcohólica hecha a base de arroz, se le conoce como Sake, o vino de arroz, aunque en Japón se le conoce como “Nihonshu”, ahora bien, lo realmente curioso es que nos muestran como se hacía el Sake de manera tradicional, debo confesar que no he probado este licor y que realmente me gustaría, pero debo estar agradecido que ya no se haga como bien lo muestran en la película. La manera tradicional de hacer el Sake es que las personas que lo preparaban, masticaban el arroz hasta hacerlo una papilla en su boca y luego lo escupía en el recipiente donde se fermentaría y los almidones se convertirían en azúcares y estos eventualmente gracias al proceso de fermentación se convierten en alcohol y esta especie de papilla era consumida, tenía bajo contenido de alcohol, pero aun así la bebida tenía cierto grado de alcohol. Yo realmente no sabía que de ese modo se hacía el Sake tradicionalmente hablando, es algo asqueroso debo decirlo. Imagino que la industria ha cambiado la forma de hacer este producto típico de Japón.

Volviendo al asunto de la película, otra cosa que me gusta es que te muestran más o menos cómo es la vida de un ciudadano de una gran metrópolis y como es la vida en el campo. Se nota mucho el contraste de ambientes, la ciudad es agitada y la montaña es tranquila. La ciudad es muy gris, la montaña es amena y fluida. Otro aspecto que me gustó mucho de la película es el valor de la amistad, ejercer el papel de ser amigo es algo que va más allá de solo decir te quiero y acompañarse en la vida, sino que un amigo es un apoyo y son un pilar en nuestra vida, y que no se trata de tener cientos de amigos, a veces tan solo es un par de amigos y es algo fabuloso. Me gustaría seguir contando más sobre “Your name” pero no quiero desvelar algo importante. Sin más que decirles en esta ocasión me despido, eso sí, con fuerza imperativa te digo: “Debes ver la película lo más pronto que puedas, si no la has visto”.
