Bad Blood Season 2 Review

I may seem a bit absent from writing my usual movies/series review but i can't help it, i have zero time. A big portion of why i don't have time is watching series and reading mangas so i think you get me.

Anyway around a week ago i published a review on the first season of Bad Blood, a crime drama that is based on real events on a certain mob family.

Now it's time to review the second and last season of the show but before doing so i have to warn you that SPOILERS will follow, so brace yourself. I won't give you generic info about the cast this time it's mostly the same as the last time!

Plot

If you watched the first season, you know by now that the show revolved around the Rizzuto crime family and more specifically, Vito Rizzuto. One after the other episode we witnessed the rise of Declan who was the right hand of Vito. Now with Vito and the whole Rizzuto family dead, someone has to become Montreal's new boss.

That position is Declan's who has everything under control, he knows the game due to experience as you can imagine. Declan is a lone wolf so he doesn't have much that you can tie him up and extort him like a family for example.

A reason he is a lone wolf is that he believes and he has seen all these years, that anyone who is brought down, is by someone close to him, so he doesn't like that to have that many ties. His ultimate goal is to die a "free man" and a boss of his own without the need of taking orders from anyone.

In another city close by, that is rules by another crime family, the Cosoleto one, the two bosses there have a visitor. Teresa and Christian Langana visit them all the way back from Calabria which is the place their father, the boss of the syndicate lives.

The twins who are quite ruthless want to live up to their father and want to achieve greatness. They want to put a new drug on the market which isn't fully ready yet and people can die. To achieve their goals, they wanted to take over Montreal even though Domenic Cosoleto warns them about Declan.

He is also saying that up until now, he runs his city and Declan runs Montreal and nobody interferes with each other. The Twins are greedy though and soon enough a war breaks between the twins, Cosoleto and Declan!

What I Liked & What I Didn't

First of all, i really like the fact that they extended the series to have a second season with more episodes. I won't mention again acting, especially Coates is freaking awesome. I also really liked that they highlighted the human greed on everyone.

The twins are greedy wanted more in order to prove to their father that they are good enough and Declan always wants something more and he can sit and relax being rich. In a way it's a fight between egos and greed, it may haven't started that way but it sure ended like that.

This time we got more fight scenes which is something i liked also, the only thing i didn't like was that this time the show wasn't quite on par with true events. I get that but when we know that it isn't based on true events, you can create more episodes that way, something that they didn't. If i remember correctly from 6 episodes on the 1 season, they now had 8.

Finally, the turn of events is quite expected so that's why you don't see me rate this with over 9. It was overall an awesome series but it would be better with more plot twists and episodes if you ask me! That was the only thing missing.
