Happy Birthday Clint Eastwood, Movie Legend - Acrylic Painting [ENG-ESP]

Hello dear artist and alien friends, I hope you are all well. Today I want to share with you a small painting I made of the great actor and film director Clint Eastwood, who turned 95 yesterday. A true legend who has managed to stay active and with great longevity doing what he loves and is passionate about, cinema. I think he is a great example to follow for all of us who believe in our abilities and talents and want to share with the world what we do and what we love most. I have been a fan of Clint Eastwood since my childhood, since I used to watch Wild West movies with my father on Sunday afternoons, and Clint's face always appeared in many of them. I made this painting using a Venezuelan bill as a canvas, on which I made the face of Clint Eastwood in his film "A Fistful of Dollars" by Sergio Leone, which is part of the Dollar Triology. Here is a short video I made and a step-by-step explanation. I hope you like it.

Hola queridos amigos artistas y aliens, espero que se encuentren muy bien, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una pequeña pintura que hice del gran actor y director de cine Clint Eastwood quien ayer cumplió 95 años de edad, toda una gran leyenda que ha sabido mantenerse activo y con mucha longevidad haciendo lo que más ama y apasiona, el cine. Creo que es un gran ejemplo a seguir para todos nosotros quienes creemos en nuestras habilidades y talentos y queremos compartir con el mundo lo que hacemos y lo que más amamos. Soy fan de Clint Eastwood desde mi infancia, ya que solía ver con mi padre, los domigos por la tarde películas del salvaje oeste, y en muchas de ella siempre salía el rostro de Clint. Hice esta pintura utilizando un billete venezolano como lienzo, sobre el cual hice el rostro del Clint Eastwood en su película Por un Puñado de Dolares" de Sergio Leone y que pertenece a la Triolgía del Dollar. Los dejo con un video corto que hice y la explicación del paso a paso, espero les guste.

I used a bill that's already lost its value, thanks to the hyperinflation Venezuela has suffered. We've changed bills more times than Jennifer Lopez changes her husbands, haha. The truth is, I have a huge pile of bills, and I use some of them to paint. So, I covered the face printed on the bill with white paint, and used the white background as a canvas to sketch Clint Eastwood's face.

Utilicé un billete que ya perdió su valor, gracias a la hiperinflación que ha sufrido Venezuela, hemos cambiado de billetes más veces que Jenifer Lopez cambia a sus esposos jejeje. Lo cierto es que tengo una gran cantidad de billetes y algunos los uso para pintar, así que con pintura blanca tapé el rostro que está impreso en el billete, y utilicé el fondo blanco como lienzo para hacer el boceto del rostro de ClinT Eastwood.

After painting, I begin painting the face, using white mixed with a bit of brown, red, and yellow, to approximate the color of the skin on the face. I then paint in several layers to achieve the necessary contrast and ensure the painting doesn't look flat, but realistic.

Luego de hacer comienzo a pintar el rostro, utilizando el color blanco mezclado con un poco de cafe, rojo y amarillo, así voy llegando al color aproximado de la piel el rostro. Así que pinto con varias capas para lograr el contraste necesario y que la pintura no se vea plana, sino realista.

Next I continued painting, this time adding the hat and poncho, and of course the smaller and more difficult details like the beard, which I did with a layer of colors to make it realistic.

Seguidamente seguí pintando, esta vez agregué el sombrero y el poncho, y por supuesto los detalles más pequeños y difíciles como la barba la cual la hago por capa de colores para hacerla realista.

Finally, I added light reflections to the hair, beard, and expression lines, as Mr. Clint Eastwood used to make his face look very scary in his films, and villains would think twice before attacking.

Para finalizar complemento con reflejos de luz como aprte del cabello, tamnién la barba y en las líneas de expresión, ya que el señor Clint Eastwood solía poner un rostro muy aterrador en sus películas y los villanos se la pensaban dos veces antes de atacar.

Así ha quedado finalizado, que les parece el resultado? Clint Eastwood tuvo muchos papeles importantes en su carrera pero uno de los más memorables a parte del que he mencionado, se encuentra Harry el Sucio, otro de mis favoritos.
