The creative duo behind it is Alex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato, the same duo who already delighted us with Money Heist (Casa de Papel).

Synopsis :

We mainly follow the story of Max Varela (Pau Simon). He had married his childhood friend, Ané Falcon (Monica Mara). Everything was going very well, but one evening, after the young lovebirds had consumed alcohol and drugs, Max insisted on getting behind the wheel to go for a drive at excessive speed. The car veered off the road and Ané died. Max survived, in shock and filled with guilt.

Nous suivons principalement l'histoire de Max Varela (Pau Simon). Il s'était marié avec son amie d'enfance, Ané Falcon (Monica Mara). Tout allait très bien, mais un soir où les jeunes tourtereaux avaient consommé de l'alcool et de la drogue, Max a tenu à prendre le volant pour faire une virée à trop grande vitesse. La voiture a fait une sortie de route et Ané est décédée. Max s'en est sorti, en état de choc et rempli de culpabilité.

He was imprisoned for manslaughter. Prison changed him; he learned to assert himself and defend himself. At the end of his sentence, his father, whom he does not want to talk to, comes to pick him up and take him to an ultra-luxurious bunker called Kimera, where his family and in-laws are already staying in anticipation of an imminent catastrophic event. He decides to accompany his father.

This bunker is kept secret and is reserved for the ultra-rich. The occupants have pretended to be on holiday so as not to be disturbed by phone calls from friends or colleagues.

We will follow daily life inside this bunker, with its plots, betrayals, lies, love stories, etc., in an environment where almost everything has been planned and organised.

Ce bunker est tenu secret et est réservé aux ultra-riches. Les occupants ont prétexté des vacances pour ne pas être dérangés par des coups de fil d'amis ou collègues.

As in Money Heist, you can sense that there was a lot of organisation involved beforehand, by the Professor in Money Heist and by Minerva here.

As for the cast, some of the faces are familiar to me, but I can't remember where I've seen them before, because even after looking through their filmographies, I can't find them:

• Joaquín Furriel: Guillermo Falcón
• Natalia Verbeke: Frida
• Carlos Santos: Rafael ‘Rafa’ Varela

Comme dans la Casa de Papel, on sent qu'il y a eu une grosse organisation en amont, par le Professor dans Casa de Papel et par Minerva ici.

The production company Vancouver Production was founded by Alex Pina in 2016. This series was extremely expensive to make; they even created a five-storey studio to set everything up like the bunker and be able to film the entire series there.
