Una de las últimas películas de acción y ciencia ficción que vi en los últimos días fue la trilogía del corredor del laberinto, pero que en lo personal la conozco como Correr o morir, aunque la saga orinalmente se titula como The maze runner. La primera película salió en el año 2014, pero la realidad es que no me la había visto, la razón principal era que no me llamaba la atención su título, incluso en algún momento pensé que era de terror o algo así, un género que no me gusta, no porque le tenga miedo, sino que la verdad es que no me entretiene. Pero un amigo me recomendó esta saga y me explico más o menos de que se trataba. La realidad es que esta película es bastante parecida a Los juegos del Hambre, Divergente y todas sus películas, La quinta ola, entre otras más. Las historia son todas diferentes, pero lo que tienen en común es que la trama se basa en la vida de adolescentes que deben luchar por sus vidas, además que están vinculadas con guerras o la destrucción del mundo y tan solo la tierra es habitada por pocas personas.
Cada una de estas producciones me gustaron, una más que otras, pero si me entretuvieron, conecte con su historia. La principal razón de mi buena opinión sobre estas películas es que me gusta el rumbo que le dan a la historia, más allá que estemos de acuerdo o no. El día de hoy les voy hablar de la trilogía, dar una opinión de cada una de las tres entregas, todo desde mi experiencia personal, nada de una reseña profesional ni mucho menos. Correr o morir ha recibido críticas negativas, sobre todo por la trama, tal vez no sea tan exitosa como Los juegos del Hambre, pero al menos pienso que se puede pasar un rato agradable, además de tener algunas incógnitas de cómo se irá desarrollando la historia, porque el suspenso es otro género que abarca esta historia.
El corredor del laberinto: Correr o morir
Correr o morir (también conocido como El corredor del laberinto en España) es como se titula la primera entrega de la saga (trilogía). Como les dije anteriormente esta película fue lanzada a los cines en el año 2014. Esta primera película fue dirigida por Wes Ball, mientras que los guionistas fueron James Dashner, Noah Oppenheim. Un dato importante es que esta producción es una adaptación de la novela escrito por James Dashner. La trama de esta film nos cuenta como Thomas es un adolescente que es encerrado en un sitio junto a con otros chicos, en la cual deben sobrevivir y luchar con unas criaturas. El sitio en la cual se encuentra es un laberinto, de allí el nombre que se le da en España a la película. Al principio todos sentían desconfianza de Thomas y esto es entendible ya que estos chicos no tenían memoria, estas habían sido borradas, tan solo se acordaban era de su nombre. Una de las cosas que me gusta de esta película es lo intrigante que es al principio, la trama está lleno de mucho misterio pero poco a poco todo se va aclarando, en tal punto que la historia puede llegar a dar un vuelco de un momento u otro.
Para ser nunca me he leído los libros, pero si he investigado un poco y las películas son un poco diferente a lo que se describe en los libros. Lo cierto es que la adaptaciones cinematográficas siempre son diferentes a las novelas, se trata de adaptarla a los tiempos para hacerla más atractiva para el público. Algo que me llamó poderosamente la atención es el hecho de que se omitieron varios detalles en la película, pero esto tal vez se debe a que no le encontraron ninguna importancia en la trama y más cuando sabemos que el tiempo es limitado para mostrar al menos las cosas que realmente son relevante para la historia. En lo personal le puedo decir que me gustó mucho la línea que siguió esta primera película de correr o morir, más allá de las críticas recibidas. Nada mejor como ver una cinta (película) donde tengamos momentos llena de acción, la adrenalina suba a mil, pero también tener suspenso de él porque de las cosas e ir descubriendo cada momento el rumbo de esta historia.
La trama de correr o morir tal vez no sea perfecto, pero al menos cumple su propósito. Dylan O'Brien fue quien le dio vida al papel de Thomas, realmente conecte mucho con él en su personaje, me lo creí, así que pienso que el trabajo de este actor fue fenomenal. El reparto de esta película es amplio, en un principio de actores jóvenes, ya para el final entran otros actores de mayor edad cuyos personajes son importantes para el desarrollo de las siguientes entregas. También tenemos a Kaya Scodelario quien hace el papel de Teresa, siendo esta la única chica y la última entre todos de ser enviada al laberinto. También tenemos a Thomas Brodie-Sangster como Newt, Will Poulter como Gally, Aml Ameen como Alby, Blake Cooper como Chuck, Chris Sheffield como Ben, entre otros más. Realmente un magnífico trabajo de cada uno. Recordar que esta crítica es una opinión personal, puede que otros opinen diferente sobre la trama y el reparte. Al ser una película de ciencia ficción, pues obviamente tiene efectos especiales y como recrearon a los monstruos a la cual deben enfrentar los chicos en el laberinto. La banda sonora bastante bien, tal vez algunas películas tiene mejores músicas, pero lo que más destaca esta entrega son escenas épicas que nunca se me olvidarán.

The reality is that this movie is quite similar to The Hunger Games, Divergent and all its movies, The Fifth Wave, among others. The stories are all different, but what they have in common is that the plot is based on the lives of teenagers who must fight for their lives, plus they are linked to wars or the destruction of the world and only the earth is inhabited by a few people.
I liked each of these productions, one more than others, but I was entertained, I connected with their story. The main reason for my good opinion about these movies is that I like the direction they give to the story, whether we agree or not. The plot of this film tells us how Thomas is a teenager who is locked in a place along with other boys, in which they must survive and fight with some creatures. The place in which he finds himself is a labyrinth, hence the name given to the film in Spain. At the beginning everyone was suspicious of Thomas and this is understandable since these kids had no memory, they had been erased, they only remembered his name. One of the things I like about this movie is how intriguing it is at the beginning, the plot is full of mystery but little by little everything becomes clearer, to the point that the story can turn around at one point or another.
I have never read the books, but I have done some research and the movies are a little different from what is described in the books. The truth is that the film adaptations are always different from the novels, it's all about adapting it to the times to make it more appealing to the audience. Something that caught my attention is the fact that several details were omitted in the movie, but perhaps this is because they did not find any importance in the plot, especially when we know that time is limited to show at least the things that are really relevant to the story. Personally I can tell you that I really liked the line that followed this first film of run or die, beyond the criticisms received. There is nothing better than watching a movie where we have moments full of action, the adrenaline goes up to a thousand, but also to have suspense about the reason of things and to be discovering every moment the course of this story.

El corredor del laberinto 2: Prueba de fuego
Prueba de fuego es el nombre de la segunda entrega de Correr o morir (como la conozco) o El corredor del laberinto que es el título original. Esta película salió en el año 2015, nuevamente bajo la dirección de Wes Ball, quien realmente hizo un buen trabajo entre las dos primeras entregas, incluso la trama de esta segunda me gusta aún más. La principal razón de ello es que algunos de los chicos logran escapar del laberinto, entre ellos Thomas y Teresa. Aquí los jóvenes emprenden la aventura de encontrar pistas sobre lo que realmente está pasando en el mundo, pero al inicio se ven engañados por CRUEL, una organización que los estuvo utilizando como experimento para encontrar la cura de un virus que ha transformado a las personas como en unos zombis. En el camino los chicos se enfrentan a grandes desafíos pero siempre Thomas se ha caracterizado por no rendirse, clara tratar de averiguar que ha pasado verdaderamente, ya que siente que han sido engañados. Incluso en el camino pierde ha aliados, pero al final no es un impedimento para que el grupo de jóvenes continúan en su travesía, a pesar de cuestionarse lo que están haciendo en algunos momentos.
Otra razón que me gusta esta segunda entrega es la aparición de nuevos personajes y que simplemente la historia no se da en el laberinto, sino que recorrer lo que queda de las ciudades de Estados Unidos, con la finalidad de encontrarse con la resistencia, un grupo que están en contra de CRUEL y lo que están haciendo con los jóvenes, a pesar de que esto sea para encontrar una cura que contrarreste el virus. En muchas parte de la película me surge la duda quienes son los buenos y quienes los malos, por lo que puedo decir que en parte de la trama cumple con el suspenso que se quiere dar y claro que la acción nunca puede pasar, incluso cosas poco creíbles que nos puede dar las películas de ciencia ficción. Claro cuando nos gusta una saga, siempre creemos que las cosas son reales y fanáticos debatimos sobre teorías, de allí es que creo que radica el éxito o no de una producción. Al menos en este último punto el Corredor del laberinto en su segunda entrega cumple con ello.
Los actores principales se mantienen en Prueba de fuego, pero ahora la historia abarca a muchos más personajes, no solo a los jóvenes del laberinto, por lo cual podemos conocer que papales juegan en la historia de Correr o morir. Entre los nuevos personajes tenemos a Aidan Gillen, actor irlandés quien es conocido por su papel en la serie de HBO, Juegos de Tronos, al menos yo lo conocí en esa producción. En el correr del laberinto se puede convertir en unos de los personajes más odiados, es parte de CRUEL y se convierte en el principal enemigos del protagonista de esta historia. Una gran actuación de Aidan. También tenemos la participación de Giancarlo Esposito como Jorge y Nathalie Emmanuel como Harriet, quienes tienen personajes secundarios, pero juegan un papel importante en el desenlace de esta historia. Nathalie Emmanuel también participó en Juegos de Tronos como Missandei y en Rápido y furioso 7 como Megan Ramsey. Sabemos que en esta película no falta la acción, el correr que es una de las cosas que nunca dejan de hacer nuestros personajes, además de la excelente recreaciones de los espacios donde se desarrolla esta segunda entrega que es en el mundo exterior.

In many parts of the film I wonder who are the good guys and who are the bad guys, so I can say that in part of the plot meets the suspense that is wanted to give and of course the action can never happen, even not very credible things that can give us science fiction movies. Of course when we like a saga, we always believe that things are real and fans debate about theories, that's where I think lies the success or failure of a production. At least in this last point The Maze Runner in its second installment fulfills this.
The main actors remain in Trial by Fire, but now the story involves many more characters, not only the young people in the labyrinth, so we can know what roles they play in the story of Run or Die. Among the new characters we have Aidan Gillen, Irish actor who is known for his role in the HBO series, Games of Thrones, at least I met him in that production. In the running of the maze he can become one of the most hated characters, he is part of CRUEL and becomes the main enemy of the protagonist of this story. A great performance by Aidan. El corredor del laberinto: La cura mortal es la última entrega de esta trilogía. Thomas y los que quedan del grupo ya saben quién es realmente el enemigo, CRUEL quiere usar a todos los jóvenes que quedan para extraer el antídoto contra el virus para que la humanidad no se transformen en unos monstruos. Nuestro prota y sus acompañantes pasaran por difíciles pruebas para lograr su cometido final, que es eliminar de una vez por toda a la organización que los ha estado usando, quintando les la memoria y los encerró en el laberinto.
¿Será que finalmente Thomas logrará su cometido o finalmente CRUEL se terminarán imponiendo? ¿Cómo finalizará la historia del Corredor del laberinto? Lo que sí les puedo decir que es la acción y el suspenso nunca faltará en esta película, con un final que tal vez si me esperaba, aunque bastante triste por unos de mis personajes favoritos, más allá el vuelco que le dieron a su participación en la trama y por lo que muchas la pueden odiar, esta es Teresa. La cura mortal es una gran entrega, llena de acción, aventura y mucho suspenso, pero de las tres fue la que menos me gustó, aunque también vemos muchos cosas interesantes, escenas que valen la pena ver, grandes actuaciones, buenos efectos especiales para recrear las escenas y en varios momentos pasaban cosas que no me esperaba como el final de la entrega.

The Deadly Cure is a great installment, full of action, adventure and suspense, but of the three was the one I liked the least, although we also see many interesting things, scenes worth watching, great performances, good special effects to recreate the scenes and at various times things happened that I did not expect as the end of the installment.

Ahora bien, luego de comentar y dar mi punto de vista sobre la trilogía que conozco como Correr o morir, pero en realidad la saga se conoce originalmente como El corredor del laberinto, es momento de dar una opinión final. La trilogía para muchos fue floja, muy parecida a Juegos del Hambre, aunque no con el mismo éxito, algo que estoy de acuerdo, pero es una producción que si te gusta el género, la puedes llegar a disfrutar, pasar un rato agradable. Al menos yo la pase bien, una historia que me atrajo, pero si es cierto que la historia puede llegar a ser un poco tosca en algunos momentos. Las actuaciones del reparto muy bien, hicieron el trabajo que se le pidió. Muchas escenas fueron magnificas, tanto así que me quedé con ganas de ver más. De todas las entregas la que más me gustó fue prueba de fuego, una película donde ya la historia se le veía un rumbo, quienes eran los buenos y quienes los malos, aunque por momentos había suspenso. También en la segunda entrega aparecieron buenos personajes, que si bien eran secundarios, pues de igual manera me gustó mucho sus participaciones dentro de la historia. La primera si me gustó, pero siento que al todo suceder en el laberinto, pues me desinfló un poco la trama, pero en general si me gustó. La tercero fue la que menos me agradó, pero si hubo momentos épicos que valen la pena ver, con el final inesperado de uno de los personajes principales. Correr o morir, una historia que no es perfecta, pero si que vale la pena verla.

Of all the installments, the one I liked the most was "Trial by Fire", a movie where the story already had a direction, who were the good guys and who were the bad guys, although at times there was suspense. Also in the second installment appeared good characters, although they were secondary, but I liked their participation in the story. I did like the first one, but I feel that everything happened in the labyrinth, so it deflated the plot a little, but in general I liked it. The third one was the one I liked the least, but there were epic moments worth watching, with the unexpected end of one of the main characters. Run or die, a story that is not perfect, but worth watching.

Me pasó algo parecido con las películas de divergente. No me llamaban la atención pero cuando vi el corredor del laberinto me sumergió en el suspenso y quise seguir viendo las otras dos partes. Me pareció muy buena la trama y excelentes las actualizaciones de estos muchachos. Gracias por compartir
A mí las películas de divergente me gustó desde un principio, pero sobre todo la primera y la segunda. Si la trama fue buena, aunque no perfecta pero lo importante es que es disfrutable.

Que nostalgia y viejos recuerdos. La trilogía es todo un encanto, vi los estrenos de cada una. Me llamaron mucho la atención. Thomas es muy persistente y lo que hace impacta. Muchas cosas detrás de cada entrega. Sin lugar a dudas se parece a cada una de las producciones que nombraste.
Yo ví la trilogía recientemente, no la había visto antes. Esto que menciono es mi percepción,puede que esté equivocado en algunos aspectos. Las películas no son perfectas, tienen sus detalles pero a mí no se me hizo aburrido, ví cada segundo de cada una de las entregas. Si realemente Thomas era persistente, nunca se rindió, tal vez si fuesen sabido que el era la cura desde un principio no hubiese pasado todo, aunque bueno, así no fuese hubiera trama entonces. Una de las cosas que más me llama la atención y que nunca se menciona en las películas es que esos nombres no eran los reales, CRUEL los invento. No me leído los libros completos, más que todo he investigado.
