Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One [ENG-ESP]

Mission Impossible has become one of my favorite movie sagas of all time and I know they are not movies that have an extremely deep plot and with many plot twists that would leave anyone with their mouths open to such a plot magnitude, but what the Mission Impossible movies really are is to be an audio visual product focused on action of the best in recent years, is to be an audio visual product focused on the best action of recent years and since the most recent installment of this saga was announced I was quite excited, because one of the main features of these films is that as they are released, each of them increase in risky action made by one of the best actors in the genre of action and that is Tom Cruise himself. Such was my eagerness to see this movie in the theater that for the first time in my life I went to the movies by myself, since none of my acquaintances are fans or have seen any movie of this saga and that first experience of having gone to the movies alone is pretty good, so it will surely be something I will do again.

Already entering the theme of the film, since the first trailer was shown my excitement to see this movie was sky high, the action scenes shown there were for me quite impressive and Tom Cruise in each new movie of the Mission Impossible saga always looks for ways on how to do something more spectacular than what was seen in previous films and what he did in this seventh installment was a total madness, which was to jump on a motorcycle from a huge cliff, and then activate a parachute, something that the actor himself and with their respective normal security performed by himself, you can even see a behind the scenes of that part of the recording where the director of the film was plunged into fear and nerves before the action that Tom Cruise was going to perform and possibly this is the most impressive feat done by Tom Cruise to date and that's saying a lot about him, as the previous ones have been equally impressive, but this last one is surpassed.

One of the things that surprised me the most about this movie is that it lasts almost 3 hours, however, and at least for me, that time was quite short and for a long time I was not so focused on the story of a movie because this seventh installment of the Mission Impossible saga is very entertaining from beginning to end. This movie keeps all the essence of what the Mission Impossible saga presents, lots of action, suspense and even moments of comedy. Since this movie has the subtitle "Dead Reckoning Part One", it is obvious that it will have a second part and therefore at the end the story is somewhat unfinished, but not in a negative way. The story focuses on an AI that has control of too many things and an old acquaintance of Ethan Hunt, the character played by Tom Cruise, who will return to bring misfortune again to the life of our protagonist, however, this "new villain" had never appeared before, so it is a completely new character who is the central axis of the events of this film and in turn is one of the most difficult villains that Ethan has had to face, so it will not be easy to defeat him.

The main characters of Ethan's group return, contributing their great importance in the competition of the mission of our protagonist and even returns an old character who had already appeared many years ago in the first film of this saga and although his role in this story is not entirely important, it was still quite interesting to see that character and the new role he plays in this universe of Mission Impossible. There is a scene involving a train falling off a cliff after the bridge it was crossing was destroyed, it reminded me a lot of a part of Uncharted 2 where something quite similar happens, perhaps it was a tribute to that part of that spectacular video game.

I'm really looking forward to see the next movie of this saga, I really don't know and I haven't researched when it will be released, if the second part of "Dead Reckoning" will be the last movie of this long-lived saga or in the future there will still be more Mission Impossible movies. Tom Cruise is 60 years old, so I'm not sure how long his body will be able to perform as many risky action scenes as he has been doing during all these years, so if the next movie is the last one and it is as good as this "first part", I think it would be a great ending for this spectacular saga of action and spy movies.

Misión Imposible se ha convertido en una de mis sagas de películas favoritas de todos los tiempos y sé que no son películas que tengan un argumento sumamente profundo y con muchos giros de tramas que dejarían a cualquier persona con la boca abierta ante tal magnitud argumental, pero lo que si son realmente las películas de Misión Imposible, es ser un producto audio visual enfocado en la acción de lo mejor de los últimos años y desde que se anunció la más reciente entrega de esta saga estaba bastante emocionado, porque una de las características principales de la estas películas es que a medida que se van estrenando, cada uno de ellas aumentan en acción arriesgadas hechas por uno de los mejores actores en el género de acción y es el mismísimo Tom Cruise. Fue tal mi afán por querer ver esta película en el cine que por primera vez en la vida fue al cine yo solo, ya que ninguno de mis conocidos son fanáticos o han visto alguna película de esta saga y esa primera experiencia de haber ido al cine solo es bastante buena, por lo que seguramente sea algo que haga de nuevo.

Ya entrando en el tema de la película, desde que se mostró el primer tráiler mi emoción por ver esta película estaba por las nubes, las escenas de acción mostradas ahí fueron para mi bastante impresionantes y es que Tom Cruise en cada nueva película de la saga Misión Imposible siempre busca la forma en cómo hacer algo más espectacular que lo visto en las anteriores películas y lo que hizo en esta séptima entrega fue una total locura, la cual fue lanzarse en moto desde un acantilado enorme, para luego activar un paracaídas, algo que el propio actor y con sus respectivas normales de seguridad realizo por sí mismo, incluso se puede ver un detrás de escena de esa parte de la grabación donde el director de la película estaba sumido en miedo y nervios ante la acción que iba a realizar Tom Cruise y posiblemente esta sea la hazaña más impresionante hecha por Tom Cruise hasta la fecha y ya eso es decir mucho sobre él, ya que las anteriores han estado igualmente de impresionantes, pero esta última se supera.

Un de las cosas que más me sorprendió de esta película es que dura aproximadamente casi 3 horas, sin embargo y al menos para mí, ese tiempo se hizo bastante corto y desde hace bastante tiempo no estaba tan enfocado en la historia de una película debido a que esta séptima entrega de la saga Misión Imposible es muy entretenida de principio a fin. Esta película mantiene toda la esencia de lo que presenta la saga Misión Imposible, mucha acción, suspenso e incluso momentos de comedia. Debido a que esta película tiene como por subtitulo “Dead Reckoning Part One”, he obvio que tendrá una segunda parte y por ende al final la historia queda algo inconclusa, pero no en forma negativa. La historia se centra en una IA que tiene el control de demasiadas cosas y un antiguo conocido de Ethan Hunt, el personaje interpretado por Tom Cruise, el cual volverá para traer nuevamente desgracias a la vida de nuestro protagonista, sin embargo, este “nuevo villano”; nunca antes había aparecido, por lo que es un personaje totalmente nuevo que es el eje central de los acontecimientos de esta película y a su vez es uno de los villanos más difíciles de los que ha tenido que enfrentarse Ethan, por lo que no será nada fácil derrotarlo.

Vuelven los personajes principales del grupo de Ethan, aportando su gran importancia en la competición de la misión de nuestro protagonista e incluso vuelve un antiguo personaje que ya había aparecido hace muchísimos años en la primera película de esta saga y aunque no papel en esta historia no es del todo importante, igualmente fue bastante interesante volver a ver a ese personaje y el nuevo rol que cumple en este universo de Misión Imposible. Hay una escena que involucra un tren cayendo por un acantilado luego de que el puente que estaba atravesando se destruyese, me recordó muchísimo a una parte de Uncharted 2 donde sucede algo bastante parecido, quizás haya sido un homenaje a esa parte de ese espectacular videojuego.

Tengo muchísimas ganas de ver la siguiente película de esta saga, realmente no se y no he investigado cuando se estrenara ni mucho menos, si la segunda parte de “Dead Reckoning” será la última película de esta longeva saga o en el futuro aun habrán mas películas de Misión Imposible. Tom Cruise tiene 60 años, por lo que no estoy seguro por cuanto tiempo su cuerpo será capaz de realizar tantas escenas de acción tan arriesgadas como las que ha estado haciendo durante todos estos años, por lo que si la siguiente película es la última y es tan buena como esta “primera parte”, creo que sería un gran final para esta tan espectacular saga de películas de acción y espías.
