SISU: An old man who kills Nazis / Un anciano que mata Nazis [ENG-ESP]

Since a few months ago I wanted to see this movie and I kept it there waiting for the right moment to watch it, then I forgot about it and some more days passed until I remembered again that I had to watch this movie thanks to "Twitter", so without wasting any more time and especially not to forget to watch this movie again, in that same instant (two days ago) I finally got ready to watch SISU and basically it is everything I expected this movie to be, full of action, death and the power of the script, in the end being a pretty entertaining product to watch. When I first discovered this movie a few months ago, people who had already seen it in layman's terms described it as "John Wick, but he's an old man" and you could say it lives up to that moniker very well.

The plot of this movie is extremely simple, but that does not make it a boring movie, but what surprised me the most is that there is very little dialogue, since this movie speaks more for its action scenes than for the little that is communicated by the characters, in fact, the main character of this movie only speaks until the end of the movie, I didn't really notice this until almost the end of the movie, it's quite curious that a protagonist doesn't speak in a movie, but since this is an action movie, it's not really necessary, the people who saw SISU didn't go to see something plot wise complex, they just wanted to see some unbridled action and indeed this movie manages to fulfill that purpose very well. If I could summarize this movie in a much more simplistic term it would be "an old man who kills Nazis", simple as that and I'm sure with that short synopsis it would catch the attention of a lot of people.

But taking it to a slightly more explanatory term, this film SISU, focuses after 3 years after the end of the Second World War and the film is set in Finland, when there were still Nazi troops in that country, quickly the film shows us the protagonist of this film, which finds a lot of gold and when he is about to go to sell it he meets a small troop of Nazi soldiers, however, many should assume what will happen next and is that the Nazis discover the gold of the old protagonist and decide to steal it and then kill him, however, these Nazis have found the "victim", However, the Nazis discover the gold of the old protagonist and decide to steal it and then kill him, however, these Nazis have found the wrong "victim", because from that moment begins a massacre of soldiers by the protagonist of this story, which is a former soldier who after losing his entire family because of the Russians has become a total unstoppable killing machine. And that's basically the plot of this action movie that really doesn't need much more, because it's very well done in the action moments, it's quite visceral and bloody. And although it doesn't have the fight choreographies seen in John Wick, I think it's a character that could give battle to the latter, especially because they are very capable characters, tenacious and being protagonists they have the script in their favor. However, it's a movie worth watching, especially if the action genre is one of your favorites.

Desde hace algunos meses tenía ganas de ver esta película y la mantuve ahí esperando el momento justo para poder mirarla, luego se me olvidó y pasaron otros días más hasta que volví a recordar que debía ver esta película gracias a “Twitter”, por lo que sin perder más tiempo y para que especialmente no se me olvidara nuevamente mirar esta película, en ese mismo instantáneamente (Hace dos días) por fin me dispuse a mirar SISU y básicamente es todo lo que esperaba que fuese esta película, llena de acción, muerte y el poder del guion, al final siendo un producto bastante entretenido de ver. Cuando descubrí esta película hace algunos meses, las personas que ya la habían visto en términos simples las describían como “John Wick, pero es un anciano” y se podría decir que cumple muy bien con ese apodo.

El argumento de esta película es sumamente sencillo, pero no por eso es una película aburrida, pero lo que más me sorprendió es que hay muy poco dialogo, ya que esta película habla más que todo por sus escenas de acción que por lo poco que se comunican por personajes, de hecho, el protagonista de esta película tan solo habla hasta al final de la misma, realmente no me di cuenta de esto hasta cuando casi de terminaba la película, es bastante curioso que un protagonista no hable en una película, pero al ser esta una del genero de acción, realmente no es tan necesario, las personas que vieron SISU no fueron a ver algo argumentalmente complejo, tan solo querían ver algo de acción desenfrenada y efectivamente esta película llega a cumplir muy bien con ese propósito. Si pudiera resumir esta película a un término mucho más simplista seria “un viejo que mata nazis”, así de simple y estoy seguro que con esa corta sinopsis llamaría la atención de muchísimas personas.

Pero llevándolo a un término un poco más explicativo, esta película SISU, se centra luego de 3 años de haber finalizada la segunda guerra mundial y la película se encuentra situada en Finlandia, cuando aun había tropas nazis en ese país, rápidamente la película nos muestra al protagonista de esta película, la cual encuentra una gran cantidad de oro y cuando se dispone a ir a venderlo se encuentra con una pequeña tropa de soldados Nazis, sin embargo, ya muchos debemos suponer lo que va a suceder a continuación y es que los nazis descubren el oro del viejo protagonista y deciden robarlo para posteriormente matarlo, sin embargo, estos nazis han encontrado a la “victima” incorrecta, ya que desde ese momento inicia una masacre de soldados por parte del protagonista de esta historia, el cual es un antiguo soldado que luego de haber perdido a toda su familia por culpa de los rusos se ha vuelto una total máquina de matar imparable. Y así básicamente es el argumento de esta película de acción que realmente no necesita mucho más, porque está muy bien hecha en los momentos de acción, es bastante visceral y sangrienta. Y aunque no tiene las coreografías de pelea vistas en John Wick, creo que es un personaje que le podría dar batalla a este último, especialmente porque son personajes muy capaces, tenaces y al ser protagonistas tienen el guion a su favor. Sin embargo, es una película que vale la pena mirar, especialmente si el género de acción es de tus favoritos.
