Outlander Spinoff || Blood Of My Blood
Hello movies lover, do you remember I wrote about Outlander a while ago? If you missed that one, you can simply check it out here.

I just finished watching the second part of the Outlander series titled Blood Of My Blood, and as expected, the writer of this story did not disappoint. Although the story is not as intense as the first season, it's still a great watch. If you haven't watched Outlander season one, I think it's best to watch this spinoff first; if not, just go ahead and watch this season two.

Blood of My Blood is a love story that explores how Jamie Fraser's parents came together in the 18th century and how Claire Beauchamp's parents met in England during World War I.
It as well explored the backstory of some other noticeable characters of the first season. How interesting that Claire's parents are time travelers, which explains how Claire becomes a time traveler herself.
I enjoyed the writer bringing us back to Scotland, the clan politics, the rich culture, plus the beautiful landscape and beautiful love stories that the series is known for.

One very attention-to-detail on the part of the producers, which fans really appreciate, myself included, is the striking resemblance of the parents and relatives of the main characters of season one. They managed to cast actors you can easily tell are the parents or related to the main characters of season one. I will give it to them; it makes watching this spinoff very enjoyable.

Another highlight of this season
If you have watched season one and were wondering the story behind the close bond between Jamie Fraser and Murtagh Fraser, wonder no more, as this spinoff never fails to go deep in exploring that angle. Two friends fell in love with the same woman, but Murtagh Fraser was mature enough to let her go when he realized the woman had eyes only for his best friend. What a true friendship they shared; no wonder their bond extended to the next generation of their family.
The villain of this season
Tony Curran is cast as Lord Lovat, who will do anything in his power to destroy the MacKenzie clan, his sworn enemy, and you can imagine how furious he would be when his illegitimate son Brian Fraser falls in love with the lady of the MacKenzie clan.
As expected, this spinoff contains many twists and turns, suspense that will make you yearn for one episode after another. My only issue is that I wish it's a bit longer, as there are still many stories of the characters untold, and we don't know yet if Blood of My Blood will have a continuous story, which I highly hope so; they shouldn't just leave us hanging.
If you are into a time-travel series, an adventurous love story that explores rich Scottish culture in the 18th century, you should give this one a watch. And for my rating for the spinoff, I will give them 9/10.
This is a review on my latest TV series. Thank you very much for your attention and support; till I come your way again. Have a great week ahead.
