An incredible saga that maybe didn't have the best ending

I consider myself a movie buff in the horror genre, it is and always will be my favorite genre for many reasons, I love to feel fear, whether it's ghosts, screamers, demons, and my favorite, psycho killers that won't stop chasing you until they end your life. I have seen from the first Halloween (from the year 1900) to the last one, Halloween Ends. I know the saga very well and I'm quite critical about the story in general, be it Michael Myers, or the plot in general. This saga has given me a lot of scares and despair, but it has also disappointed me in many ways, especially with Halloween Ends.

If you follow this saga closely, you will know that this is the "last" movie of the Halloween saga, I say last because we don't know for sure if it will end or not since in the ending we were given to understand many things, but okay, whenever a new movie comes out, I watch it many times, because I love it, and that same has happened with the last movies of the saga, but with Halloween Ends it was not like that, I felt it was betraying the love I have for Halloween but it also earned my dislike.

Everything starts with this movie, okay, almost never appears the real protagonist of ABSOLUTELY ALL THE MOVIES, Michael Myers, we have to wait about 1 hour to see him, there we start wrong, they try to sell us a false story of Michael in which he is "retired" and does not want to give more fight, which sadly is not so, Michael proved to be always superior to any human being on earth, and what a coincidence that in the "final movie" is shown something totally different, super bad.

Also, they try to sell us in a very bad way a new psychopathic character named Corey, which for me was totally unnecessary. If they want to end a saga properly it is not necessary to give protagonism to others (literally Corey was much more protagonist than Michael). Although I also understand the other possible reason, and that is that they want to continue the Halloween saga with this new mentally ill guy. Most likely we will see a new movie next year, I'm almost 100% sure of it. However, I think it makes no sense to call the movie Halloween Ends when they are putting a new serial killer in front of our eyes.

Thanks to this new character modified Michael Myers' behavior a lot, the reason is not clear to me yet, but since I can remember I have never seen Michael Myers spare his life, or even, interact with someone, oh, what a coincidence, with Corey he did, wow. It's impossible for the born fans to believe that Michael will accept that a young man starts talking to him without blowing his head off, it's another reason why Corey damages the essence of the saga. Something very sad is that Michael looks tired, weak, stupid, and absurd. He doesn't look at all like the killer he was before, I remember that in the previous ones, he was non-stop, he killed without thinking and he was what he is, a fucking serial killer. Here he looks like a retired old man with a lot of back pain.

It takes him a while to show up and when he does it's pretty disappointing, he killed very few people and that's not worthy of Michael Myers. Sure, but Corey did kill many more, now it's logical that the new protagonist will be him, and I'm not against it, it would be interesting to see a guy inspired by Michael become him because obviously, Michael won't be infinite. What bothers me is that they want to sell Halloween Ends as a movie of the saga when it seems anything but that, if they wanted to make a movie like that would have preferred to change the name of the movie and give us to understand that it is a very interesting sequel.

After the little appearance of Michael Myers in the scene, ah and his murders so basic to any style but the real Michael Myers, we can see how at the end of the movie they can finally finish with him, but in all this process we see Michael very weak and with no strength to fight, this gives us to understand that they minimized the outside of Michael or that maybe he is old (because yes, he is an old man but with monstrous genetics) and that is not the essence of what they have taught us for more than 15 previous movies, that is, it makes no sense at all. He even got to be close to many people which meant death, and in the end no, in the end, he couldn't kill them or didn't even try, so it seems an insult to me.

Otherwise, I thought the movie was good, the actors are great, and Corey is a really good actor haha, the same with the others, the plot sucked as I told you, and the cinematography was good too, but nothing relevant. For me Halloween Kills leaves much to be desired, I saw it as soon as it came out and the truth was not at all pleasant, if this is the end of such a wonderful saga (which I doubt very much) they totally fucked it up. If you saw it, tell me about your experience, yes, you must have seen at least 10 movies, dammit.

Thanks for reading this far.

The last Halloween movie I saw was the 2018 one where they brought back Jamie Lee Curtis. It gave me some hope about the future of the franchise, but then I saw reviews for Halloween Kills and It disappointed me again. Then, I saw this article and I know that It won't become good anytime soon.

It sucks that they don't give Good Ol' Mike enough time in what might be his last movie (Some crack the Screenwriters should be smoking) and that the essence of the original 1978 Carpenter film is lost. That being said, I only wish the best for a pioneer of the slasher genre.

Yeah. It is totally disappointing to see how such a good saga is ruined, we can only remember how good the previous films were, no more. Thanks for stopping by!
