NUEVOS RETOS LABORALES - NEW WORK CHALLENGES (ESP/ENG)

Hola amigos de making of, en esta nueva aventura les cuento que terminamos en la Guaira. Hace poco comenzamos una nueva experiencia laboral gracias al hermano Manaure, nos encontramos en esta experiencia un tanto retadora conociendo nuevos espacios y nuevas formas de trabajo, siempre desde el área que manejamos, el cine y audiovisual.

Hello, friends of Making Of. In this new adventure, I'm happy to tell you that we ended up in La Guaira. We recently began a new work experience thanks to Brother Manaure. We found this experience somewhat challenging, getting to know new spaces and new ways of working, always within the area we manage: film and audiovisual media.

Me encuentro en un proceso de adaptación en todos los sentidos, horarios, métodos de producción y formas de abordaje en contenidos, de las cosas que más me ha costado asumir es, la inmediatez, esto ha sido un reto para mí y a la vez un gran aprendizaje porque se trata de hacer lo que sé, pero aún ritmo desorbitante. Aún que en ocasiones me ha sacado de mis casillas, considero que es muy bueno aprender a gestionar acciones bajo presión y dentro de la improvisación.

I am in the process of adapting in every way, schedules, production methods, and ways of approaching content. One of the things I have found most difficult to accept is the immediacy. This has been a challenge for me and, at the same time, a great learning experience because it involves doing what I know how to do, but at an exorbitant pace. Although it has sometimes driven me crazy, I think it is very good to learn to manage actions under pressure and within improvisation.

Siempre está surgiendo alguna dificultad laboral que debemos asumir y superar. Salir de nuestra área de confort siempre es positivo, el cambio trae con sigo crecimiento y avance, la incomodidad es la única forma de evolucionar.

There are always work-related difficulties that we must face and overcome. Stepping outside our comfort zone is always positive; change brings growth and progress, and discomfort is the only way to evolve.

Hasta el momento, la Guaira ha sido de las locaciones más complicadas de abordar, sobre todo por las condiciones climáticas, el sol, la arena y la brisa se vuelven tus enemigos principales cuando tienes equipos delicados que debes proteger.

So far, La Guaira has been one of the most difficult locations to tackle, mainly due to the weather conditions. The sun, sand, and breeze become your main enemies when you have delicate equipment that you need to protect.

Es importante el trabajo de equipo en éste tipo de pautas, debe haber una muy buena comunicación para que no se nos pase nada por alto, todo transcurre tan rápido que, un descuido puede significar un gran problema para el resultado final, en ocasiones solo tenemos unos pocos segundos para trabajar y el nivel de precisión debe ser muy alto.

Teamwork is important in this type of work. There must be very good communication so that nothing is overlooked. Everything happens so quickly that one oversight can mean a big problem for the final result. Sometimes we only have a few seconds to work, and the level of precision must be very high.

En esta oportunidad, como en otras, no tuvimos mucha movilidad en el espacio que nos asignaron, así que trabajamos como pudimos y nos posicionamos de manera tal que, tuviésemos todo el panorama de acción cubierto. Más temprano si pudimos movernos con libertad en todo el espacio, pero nuestro problema para entonces fue el sol, estuvimos luchando con la sobre exposición y las sobras que genera en el rostro la luz de la 2:00 pm, nada favorable para trabajar.

On this occasion, as on others, we didn't have much mobility in the space we were assigned, so we worked as best we could and positioned ourselves in such a way that we had the whole scene covered. Earlier, we were able to move freely throughout the space, but our problem at that point was the sun. We were struggling with overexposure and the shadows cast on faces by the 2:00 p.m. light, which was not conducive to working.

Creo que a pesar de las dificultades pudimos lograr un buen resultado, cada experiencia en este nuevo empleo es totalmente nueva para mí y me agrada mucho que seamos capaces de superar cada reto que se presenta como imposible de pasar, creo que somos capaces de mucho más sin duda, aunque en ocasiones el camino se torne borroso siempre encontramos una salida para lograr estos objetivos diarios.

I believe that despite the difficulties, we were able to achieve a good result. Every experience in this new job is completely new to me, and I am very pleased that we are able to overcome every challenge that seems impossible to overcome. I believe that we are capable of much more, without a doubt. Although the path sometimes becomes unclear, we always find a way to achieve these daily goals.
