We are still in the month of February so we can not miss the opportunity to see movies themed to the month of romance and I wanted to take the opportunity not only to see a romance movie but to see this movie as it always made me curious and I had it saved for quite some time in my list of movies, so today I bring you my review and my experience of having seen this movie. Hola amantes del cine en esta preciosa comunidad de hive, espero estén muy bien el día de hoy. Aún estamos en el mes de febrero por eso no podemos desaprovechar la oportunidad de ver películas temáticas al mes del romance y quise aprovechar la oportunidad no solo para ver una película de romance sino de ver ésta película ya que siempre me causó curiosidad y la tenía guardada desde hace bastante tiempo en mi lista de películas, así que hoy les traigo mi reseña y mi experiencia de haber visto ésta película. Así que sin más que decir, espero les guste y los invito a leerme! 🎬✨

Let's talk a little about the plot, the film introduces us to Marianne, a painter who will tell us her love story which occurred when she was commissioned to paint Héloïse, a woman who has just left the convent and must marry soon, the assignment is to make a portrait of Héloïse but she must not find out because if she does she will look for a way to not show up again until the painter leaves, So Marianne must find a way to live with her without showing her intentions to portray her and as the days go by their relationship begins to develop making it more complicated to admire her just for wanting to portray her.

The French film of genre drama, romance, historical cinema and LGBT cinema and has a cast not very extensive but that stands out for their incredible talent and skills to enter and interpret such personalities, as main characters we have Marianne who is played by actress Noémie Merlant, Héloïse played by Adèle Haenel, actress Luàna Bajrami as Sophie who is the maid who works for the countess and Valeria Golino who plays the countess and mother of Héloïse. All these women make an incredible display of personalities that will accompany us in this story of devastating romance.

Hablemos un poco sobre la trama, la película nos introduce a Marianne, una pintora que nos contará su historia de amor la cual ocurrió cuando ella fue encargada de pintar a Héloïse, una mujer que acaba de salir del convento y que debe casarse pronto, el encargo es hacer un retrato de Héloïse pero ella no debe enterarse ya que si lo hace ella buscará la manera de no presentarse más hasta que la pintora se vaya, así que Marianne debe buscar la manera de convivir con ella sin que se noten sus intenciones de retratarla y a medida que van pasando los días su relación se empieza a desarrollar haciendo que sea más complicado el admirarla solo por querer retratarla.

La película francesa de género drama, romance, cine histórico y cine LGBT y cuenta con un reparto no muy extenso pero que destaca por su increíble talento y habilidades para entrar e interpretar a dichos personales, como personajes principales tenemos a Marianne quien es interpretada por la actriz Noémie Merlant, Héloïse interpretada por Adèle Haenel, la actriz Luàna Bajrami como Sophie quien es la sirvienta que trabaja para la condesa y Valeria Golino quien interpreta a la condesa y madre de Héloïse. Todas estas mujeres realizan un increíble despliegue de personalidades que nos acompañaran en esta historia de romance tan devastadora.

I had for quite some time this movie saved in my list of movies to see but I had never taken the initiative to see it and finally I could do it, not only the plot called my attention but also that it is about art and I liked how all those feelings and the perception that Marianne had of Héloïse and how she reflected it in the painting was explored, how they not only showed the paintings but also the sketches and the way Marianne tried to remember each of the parts of Héloïse's face, her expressions and her features, I feel that those scenes as a person who loves art, drawing and everything related to it filled me with a lot of inspiration and I could notice how it was not only about portraying the physical but also the internal, all her thoughts, her ideals and her way of being.

The story is a romance that is born of complicity, having someone by your side who can understand you and who can see beyond you and your words, someone who can understand you as if he were in your shoes and that was something that caught me in the film, the intimacy in the looks, the smiles, the complicity were some of the things that gradually ignited the flames between the two, their stories and the way in which both understood each other somehow without making the other feel less. I think this film managed to show very well those feelings that are not always expressed with words and that go beyond them and where perhaps it is not necessary to express them to know that there is a connection, it is a very romantic film in the unconventional sense that there are no explanations, there are no declarations of love but they are expressed in different ways, They are through glances that describe the feelings that exist, approaches and even silences that show the viewer what is happening in the scene, is typical of this type of period films as there were these "values" or manners that did not allow demonstrations of affection or physical or expressed in sentences so the couple had to resort to flee to be able to demonstrate the feelings they had.

Tenía desde hace bastante tiempo está película guardada en mi lista de películas para ver pero nunca había tomado la iniciativa de verla y por fin pude hacerlo, no solo me llamaba la atención la trama sino que también trata del arte y me gustó cómo se exploro todos esos sentimientos y la percepción que tenía Marianne de Héloïse y como la reflejo en el cuadro, como no solo mostraban los cuadros sino también los bocetos y la forma en la que Marianne buscaba recordar cada una de las partes del rostro de Héloïse, sus expresiones y sus rasgos, siento que esas escenas como una persona que le encanta el arte, dibujar y todo lo relacionado con ello me llenaron mucho de inspiración y pude notar como no solo se trataba de retratar lo físico sino también lo interno, todos sus pensamientos, sus ideales y su forma de ser.

La historia es un romance que va naciendo de la complicidad, el tener a alguien a tu lado que puede entenderte y que puede ver más allá de ti y de tus palabras, alguien que puede comprenderte como si estuviera en tus zapatos y eso fue algo que me atrapó de la película, la intimidad en las miradas, las sonrisas, la complicidad fueron algunas de las cosas que poco a poco fueron encendiendo las llamas entre ambas, sus historias y la forma en la que ambas se comprendían de alguna manera sin hacer sentir menos a la otra. Creo que está película logró mostrar muy bien esos sentimientos que no siempre son expresados con palabras y que van más allá de ellas y en donde quizás no es necesario expresarlas para saber que hay una conexión, es una película muy romántica en el sentido no convencional de que no hay explicaciones, no hay declaraciones de amor sino que estás son expresadas de diferente manera, son a través de miradas que describen los sentimientos que existen, acercamientos e incluso silencios que le muestran al espectador lo que está ocurriendo en la escena, es algo típico de este tipo de películas de época ya que existían estos "valores" o modales que no permitían las demostraciones de afecto ni físicas ni expresadas en frases por lo que la pareja debía recurrir a huir para poder demostrarse los sentimientos que tenían.

Although the film focuses more on the relationship of the two we can also see several scenes that can be considered as intimate with respect to the genre, where there are scenes between them that show their complicity and their empathy, their sisterhood and their humanity. The film gives you that feeling of union between women, doing simple things like eating together, helping each other to get ready and that kind of situations and makes you feel an inner warmth to see that union despite the short time that has passed since they met.

La principio se siente un poco el rechazo de la presencia de Marianne en el lugar pero poco a poco se va mezclando y al notar que le faltaban algunos detalles cruciales para el retrato como la sonrisa y esa expresión de felicidad en su rostro ella decidió tomar medidas para poder hacer reír a Héloïse y así poder ver más facetas de ella, poder entenderla mejor y entender toda la situación. Y al tener una segunda oportunidad de retratarla es donde ella comienza realmente a ver a Héloïse, ver su alma y su mente, comienza a recorrer los lugares secretos de su mente y sus lugares favoritos en la playa y así comienza a mezclarse en su mente.

A pesar de que la película se enfoca más en la relación de ambas podemos también ver varias escenas que se pueden considerar como íntimas con respecto al género, en donde hay escenas entre ellas que muestran su complicidad y su empatía, su hermandad y su humanidad. La película te brinda ese sentimiento de unión entre mujeres, el hacer cosas tan simples como comer juntas, ayudarnos a arreglarnos y ese tipo de situaciones y te hace sentir una calidez interna al ver esa unión a pesar del poco tiempo que pasa de haberse conocido.

No solo toca el tema del romance sino también de el suicidio, de el aborto y de el arte y como a través de este somos capaces de captar mensajes ocultos que quizás no todo el mundo pueda comprender a simple vista, es una película que está llena de pequeños detalles que deben verse con detenimiento, se debe ver todo el panorama y los escenarios ya que estos ayudan a comunicar el aura de los personajes, los vestuarios, el cielo e incluso en los colores usados para las escenas, tiene muchos detalles que deben verse con cuidado y a su vez estos nos comunicaran sobre la vida de los mismos personajes. Es un romance complicado, un romance que no solo está al ojo de todos por ser entre dos mujeres sino por la complejidad de sus sentimientos, de las circunstancias y los mensajes ocultos y todos esos sentimientos que van surgiendo a medida que se van revelando las verdaderas intenciones, las emociones en las situaciones más comunes de la vida y como esto solo hace que crezca la confianza entre ellas y que cada vez sea más difícil estar lejos la una de la otra.
