Hola amantes del cine y la televisión en hive, una vez más como es costumbre les compartiré mi opinión sobre series y películas que he visto recientemente, en este caso termine hace poco de ver la segunda temporada de la serie Good Omens o Buenos Presagios, de la cuál hablé hace poco y explique lo mucho que me gustó y que amé el trabajo de Neil Gaiman, que me atrapó nuevamente e inesperadamente me dejó destrozada en su segunda temporada por todos los acontecimientos que ocurrieron, sin más que decir espero les guste y los invito a leerme! 🎬✨

Hablando un poco sobre el cast de la serie nuevamente contamos con las actuaciones de nuestros protagonistas Michael Sheen interpretando nuevamente a Azirafel, David Tennant en el papel de Crowley, volvemos a ver Jon Hamm como el arcángel Gabriel está vez llegando a la peculiar librería sin saber quién es y buscando ayuda de Azirafel, Maggie Service, quien interpretó a la hermana Theresa Garrulous, una monja de la Orden Satánico en la primera temporada, vuelve está vez haciendo a Maggie una vendedora de discos y vinilos, Nina Sosanya como la Hermana Loquacious, una de las monjas de la Orden Satánica en la primera temporada, vuelve interpretando a Nina, la encargada de una cafetería en frente de la librería de Azirafel. Derek Jacobi, quien en la primera temporada solo salía como la cabeza flotante de Metatrón ahora en la segunda temporada, contamos con una actriz diferente en el rol de Belcebú y lo interpreta Shelley Conn, un nuevo personaje será incluído y es Muriel, un ángel quien tiene como misión supervisar al ángel y al demonio en la tierra y está interpretada por Quelin Sepulveda, vuelve la actriz Miranda Richardson, quien interpretó a Madame Tracy la medium en la primera temporada y que en la segunda temporada interpreta a Shax, un demonio que quiere reemplazar a Crowley en su puesto de trabajo.

De nuevo volvemos a ver a estos grandes actores y actrices, algunos retomando sus personajes y otros interpretando unos nuevos pero sin dejar de sorprendernos con sus increíbles talentos, nos guiarán en esta montaña de emociones y momentos increíbles, desde eventos de mucho riesgo hasta los momentos más divertidos en la serie.

Ésta serie de televisión británica de género fantasía cómica transmitida a través de la plataforma de streaming Prime Video estrenó su segunda temporada el 28 de julio del 2023, tiene 6 episodios y estos varían desde 50 minutos a 1 hora de duración. El comienzo de su segunda temporada se remonta a que todo volvió a la normalidad luego de que casi ocurriera el fin del mundo y la pelea entre los angeles y los demonios pero de manera peculiar el arcángel Gabriel quien estaba en el mando superior en el cielo se encuentra desapareció y por un milagro llega a la librería de Azirafel en la tierra sin recordar quien es ni quién fue en el pasado, complicando la vida tranquila de Azirafel se ve obligado de nuevo a solicitar la ayuda del demonio Crowley y ambos deben descubrir que le ocurrió a Gabriel y evitar que ambos mandos, el cielo y el infierno, los acusen de haber secuestrado al arcángel. A medida que nos adentramos en la segunda temporada no solo tenemos la historia principal la cuál es el misterio de Gabriel y su repentina perdida de memoria sino que vamos viendo un poco del pasado, conocemos un poco más el inicio de la amistad entre Azirafel y Crowley, la cuál se remonta a cuando ambos eran angeles, vemos diferente sucesos bíblicos ocurrir y podemos verlos a ambos participar en ellos y además de esto podemos por fin ver la transformación en la relación de Azirafel y Crowley, además tenemos una historia secundaria la cuál servirá como coartada para evitar que ambos los destituyan de la tierra y es hacer que Nina, la vendedora de café, y Maggie, la vendedora de discos y vinilos, se enamoren.

Recordando un poco de lo que hablaba Crowley en la primera temporada siempre decía que el no había querido caer y que se había juntado con la gente equivocada además de que el solo preguntaba, en esta temporada podemos ver como era cuando era un ángel, era alguien muy alegre y amable además de creativo ya que el ayudó a crear la nebulosa y las estrellas pero como el mismo dijo el hacía muchas preguntas y eso fue, en parte, una de las razones por las cuales lo hicieron caer y convertirse en un demonio o ángel caído y aunque Azirafel siempre se mostró un poco disgustado al hablar con Crowley poco a poco se hicieron más unidos, en esta temporada podemos explorar y ver más de como fue el inicio de ambos, como se fueron relacionando y como su relación se fue fortaleciendo y que a pesar de que sus discusiones fueran la mayoría del tiempo porque uno era un ángel y el otro un demonio se puede apreciar que ambos no están del todo de acuerdo con sus bandos. Tristemente no hubo una continuación al primer libro de good omens, el cual es la base para la primera temporada, debido a que el escritor Terry Pratchett falleció antes de que pudieran haber hecho una continuación pero el escritor Neil Gaiman se baso en esta segunda temporada en parte de sus conversaciones con respecto al universo de Good Omens que tuvo con Pratchett y de ahí el pudo darle vida y continuación a esta increíble historia.

Remembering a little of what Crowley talked about in the first season he always said that he had not wanted to fall and that he had met with the wrong people and that he only asked questions, in this season we can see how he was when he was an angel, he was someone very cheerful and kind and creative as he helped create the nebula and the stars but as he said he asked many questions and that was, in part, one of the reasons why he was made to fall and become a demon or fallen angel and although Aziraphale was always a little upset when talking to Crowley little by little they became closer, in this season we can explore and see more of how it was the beginning of both, how they were relating and how their relationship was strengthening and that even though their arguments were most of the time because one was an angel and the other a demon you can see that both are not quite agree with their sides. Sadly there was no sequel to the first book of good omens, which is the basis for the first season, because the writer Terry Pratchett died before they could have made a continuation but the writer Neil Gaiman was based on this second season in part of their conversations regarding the universe of Good Omens he had with Pratchett and from there he could give life and continuation to this incredible story.

Luego de terminar la primera temporada y quedar completamente enamorada de todo la historia de good omens, además del libro el cual me falta poco para terminar, empecé a verme la segunda temporada, siendo igual de 6 capitulos fue bastante fácil verlos a pesar de la duración, ya que a veces me cuesta ver series que tengan episodios que duren mucho porque los siento pesados, y ésta fue aún más increíble que su primera temporada ya que podemos ver más de nuestros protagonistas, sobre su historia, como se unieron, como su relación se fortaleció hasta la actualidad y no solo esto sino muestran un poco más como tanto el cielo como el infierno no son los lugares que dicen ser, siempre colocan al infierno como el peor lugar pero el cielo también es un poco corrupto y tiene algunos angeles que se excusan del "plan divino" para hacer y deshacer a su antojo. En esta temporada se busca profundizar un poco más en la historia no solo de la vida sino del comienzo de los tiempos mostrándonos como los angeles estuvieron ahí al inicio de todo, en dónde Crowley ve incomprensible el hecho de que la vida y todo está destinado a tener un fin mientras que para Azirafel esto es algo que debe comprender y aceptar mostrando que la rebeldía está desde el inicio de los tiempos de una manera sutil en donde nos demuestra el cuestionamiento de los hechos y los eventos que van a ocurrir. Se rige de una forma más madura, sin perder un poco de comedia en ella pero que nos enseña la historia desde una perspectiva más íntima y minuciosa, la trama convierte la amistad platónica entre Crowley y Azirafel en algo más singular, enseñando sus emociones y ahora todo es un poco más complicado entre ellos, es visible que es mucho más que solo cercanía de intereses y que el demonio Crowley está más claro, más protector y de alguna forma cariñoso mientras que Azirafel tiene una batalla mental contra sus ideales y la realidad, traición y miedo son las ideas que no abandonan su mente angelical haciendo que ambos tenga choques de ideas y de emociones.

After finishing the first season and being completely in love with the whole story of Good Omens, in addition to the book which I will soon finish, I started to watch the second season, being the same 6 chapters it was quite easy to see them despite the duration, because sometimes I find it hard to watch series that have episodes that last long because I feel them heavy, and this was even more amazing than the first season because we can see more of our protagonists, about their history, how they got together, how their relationship got stronger until nowadays and not only this but they show a little more how both heaven and hell are not the places they say they are, they always place hell as the worst place but heaven is also a little corrupt and has some angels that excuse themselves from the "divine plan" to do and undo as they please. This season seeks to delve a little deeper into the history not only of life but of the beginning of time showing us how the angels were there at the beginning of everything, where Crowley sees incomprehensible the fact that life and everything is destined to have an end while for Aziraphale this is something to understand and accept showing that the rebellion is from the beginning of time in a subtle way where it shows us the questioning of the facts and events that will occur. Is governed in a more mature way, without losing a bit of comedy in it but showing us the story from a more intimate and thorough perspective, the plot turns the platonic friendship between Crowley and Aziraphale into something more singular, showing their emotions and now everything is a bit more complicated between them, it is visible that it is much more than just closeness of interests and that the demon Crowley is clearer, more protective and somehow loving while Aziraphale has a mental battle against his ideals and reality, betrayal and fear are the ideas that do not leave his angelic mind making both have clashes of ideas and emotions.

No solo se profundiza en la relación del angel y el demonio sino que también veremos florecer otros amores como lo son entre Nina y Maggie quienes tienen algunos sentimientos encontrados pero que por un lado aún no se conocen del todo y la pareja de Nina, quien es una persona muy tóxica, ambas se ven envueltas en los milagros del ángel y el demonio y poco a poco se van dando cuenta de que ellos intentan unirlas y aunque en parte funciona vemos que conversan seriamente entre ellos donde demuestran que aún no están preparadas para estar juntas y que lo que hicieron estuvo mal sin embargo ellas también deciden ayudar a aclarar las mentes del angel y del demonio ya que ven que no solo son amigos de muchos años como siempre lo hacen parecen. Por otro lado tenemos una relación que fue inesperada pero que me pareció muy tierna y el final de ambos fue muy bonito, al descubrir y poder resolver todo el drama que involucraba al arcángel Gabriel vemos que el tiene una relación más allá del profesionalismo entre bandos con Belcebú y podemos ver qué ambos tienen una historia que no se contó completa pero que nació luego del fallido fin del mundo, ambos se complementan de una manera peculiar y a la vez tierna, definitivamente Neil Gaiman quiso mostrarnos que el amor y el odio son sentimientos parecidos y que nacen del mismo lugar. El vínculo, misterioso e invisible, que quizás une al infierno con el cielo. Fue una temporada llena de emociones, de altos y bajos, de grandes momentos, escenarios fantásticos y de eventos que hacen brotar los sentimientos en el espectador. Y no solo veremos amor sino que también veremos como tanto los angeles como los demonios buscan demostrar la alianza entre Azirafel y Crowley, en el caso del cielo mandan a Muriel a buscar actividad sospechosa de ellos y también a decirle al ángel que la ayude a buscar al arcángel Gabriel y en el caso del infierno Shax busca la manera de demostrar que Crowley no es el demonio perfecto y quiere desenmascarar la alianza que tiene con el otro lado, envía a otro demonio para que éste pueda conseguir evidencia de la alianza, ambos bandos intentando demostrar que no solo ellos están aliados sino que secuestraron a Gabriel y por ello se desencadenará una serie de eventos terroríficos como una tropa de demonios en la tierra queriendo destruirlos a ambos.

The bond, mysterious and invisible, that perhaps unites hell with heaven. It was a season full of emotions, highs and lows, great moments, fantastic scenarios and events that bring out the feelings in the viewer. And not only will we see love but we will also see how both angels and demons seek to prove the alliance between Aziraphale and Crowley, in the case of heaven they send Muriel to look for suspicious activity from them and also to tell the angel to help her look for the archangel Gabriel and in the case of hell Shax seeks a way to prove that Crowley is not the perfect demon and wants to unmask the alliance he has with the other side, sends another demon so that he can get evidence of the alliance, both sides trying to prove that not only they are allied but that kidnapped Gabriel and therefore will trigger a series of terrifying events as a troop of demons on earth wanting to destroy them both.

Y a pesar de que el final de la temporada anterior terminaran con el casi fin del mundo y todos los problemas que causaron los cuatro jinetes del apocalipsis y el anticristo el final de esta temporada no es tan diferente ya que no será el fin del mundo pero es el final del mundo de Crowley cuando Azirafel decide dejarlo e irse al cielo y aunque anteriormente vimos a Azirafel rechazandolo de diferentes maneras está sin duda es la más dolorosa y contundente, porque sabemos que quizás no vuelvan a reunirse como ocurría las anteriores veces y aunque veamos la decisión de Azirafel como poco acertada el la ve como una forma de hacer el cielo lo que debería ser, un lugar con justicia y paz todo esto desde la perspectiva que tiene en su cabeza de lo que debería ser el cielo así que por un lado no hay ese resentimiento por dejar a Crowley sino que sus acciones son basadas en su inocencia y por querer el cambio. No mentire ese final me destrozó pero aún así esperaré el tiempo necesario para poder ver la continuación de la historia sin importar en rumbo que tome. La serie fue un completo sube y baja de emociones y sin duda la vería muchas veces ya que tiene una trama rica en historia, en fantasía y comedia y no es para nada agotadora o abrumadora, es una serie para los amantes de lo fuera de lo común, las historias bíblicas, el misterio de la existencia y el amor en todas las formas.

And although the end of the previous season ended with the almost end of the world and all the problems caused by the four horsemen of the apocalypse and the antichrist the end of this season is not so different because it will not be the end of the world but it is the end of Crowley's world when Aziraphale decides to leave it and go to heaven and although previously we saw Aziraphale rejecting him in different ways this is certainly the most painful and forceful, because we know that they may not meet again as it happened the previous times and although we see Aziraphale's decision as unwise he sees it as a way to make heaven what it should be, a place with justice and peace all this from the perspective he has in his head of what heaven should be so on the one hand there is no resentment for leaving Crowley but his actions are based on his innocence and wanting change. I won't lie that ending tore me apart but I'll still wait long enough to be able to see the continuation of the story no matter which way it goes. The series was a complete up and down thrill ride and I would definitely watch it many times as it has a plot rich in history, fantasy and comedy and is not at all exhausting or overwhelming, it is a series for lovers of the out of the ordinary, biblical stories, the mystery of existence and love in all forms.
