Decidí volver a retomar este clásico porque me daba curiosidad sería envejecido también como yo recordaba esta historia y debo decir que si bien la trama se siente un poco más lenta de lo normal y hay ciertas incoherencias con los poderes del protagonista entre comillas la verdad es que se sigue sintiendo una historia bastante buena muy bien lograda con música impresionante ubicada justamente en la época que fue realizada la película, Es como estar viendo un videoclip de los años 2000 para definirlo de alguna manera o de finales de los 90 y esto le da un aire de cierta magia y encanto a esta película con un aire tan gótico y oscuro.

I decided to revisit this classic because I was curious to see if it had aged as well as I remembered this story, and I have to say that while the plot feels a bit slower than usual and there are certain inconsistencies with the protagonist’s so-called powers, the truth is that it still feels like a pretty good, very well-crafted story with impressive music that perfectly captures the era in which the film was made. It’s like watching a music video from the 2000s—or the late ’90s, to put it another way—and this lends a certain air of magic and charm to this film with its dark, gothic atmosphere.

La verdad es que la actuación del protagonista no puedo decir que sea excelente pero si es bastante bueno, como dije hay momentos muy extraños en los cuales no se termina de definir los parámetros del poder del mismo pero también esto le da un cierto aire de misterio y misticismo al protagonista, creo que es una de esas películas que graciosamente ha envejecido perfectamente y esto lo digo porque hay películas que he retomado de los años 90 que para nada han envejecido bien o que ya el aire de nostalgia se ha ido y al momento de verlas nuevamente no es realmente cómo recordabas, Pero bueno la verdad es que puedo decir que todavía se mantiene bastante bien para la época en la que estamos y sobre todo debo decir que es mejor que el remake que se le hizo actualmente.

As I mentioned, there are some very strange moments where the nature of his powers isn't fully defined, but this also lends the character a certain air of mystery and mysticism. I think it’s one of those movies that has aged perfectly, and I say this because there are movies from the ’90s that I’ve revisited that haven’t aged well at all, or where the nostalgic vibe has faded, and when you watch them again, they’re not really how you remembered them. But anyway, the truth is that I can say it still holds up pretty well for the times we’re in, and above all, I have to say it’s better than the remake that was made recently.

Pero bueno no todo puede ser perfecto la verdad es que una gran deficiencia que tenemos en esta película es el propio villano el cual simplemente no se define bien se dice ciertas cosas que ha hecho pero se siente algo apresurado como si lo hubiera hecho falta 10 12 minutos más en pantalla para explicar su razonamiento, pero bueno como ya dije a pesar de los años que han pasado con esta película sigue superando con creces al remec que se hizo hace poco pero la verdad es que si le quieren dar una oportunidad háganlo si no la han visto también deberían hacerlo porque sí puedes sentirse bastante lenta y eso que no llega a las 2 horas Pero sigue siendo una película muy bien lograda con un reparto increíble de actores.

We're told about certain things he's done, but it feels a bit rushed, as if he needed another 10 or 12 minutes on screen to explain his reasoning, But anyway, as I said, despite the years that have passed, this movie still far surpasses the recent remake. But honestly, if you want to give it a chance, go for it. If you haven’t seen it, you should definitely watch it—even though it can feel pretty slow, even though it’s not quite two hours long. Still, it’s a very well-made movie with an incredible cast.
