Watching movies has been one of my ways of entertaining myself, and it isn't just about the action or comedy it has to give me, I am very concerned about the message it is passing across to me. Due to the good time I have spent watching movies, I have grown so much interest in different actors and actresses in the movie industry.

The actors and actresses I have picked so much interest in don't end with Hollywood actors, it is a long list of Koreans, Indians, Nigerians, and many others from different countries across the globe.

Seeing this contest got me wondering who my favorites are among the women's and men's categories, it is a tough one to choose just one out of many because of the impact their movie has had on me. The things I seek in movies are lessons, the originality the actor or actress brought into the movie, and not just the hype that doesn't match their credibility. Like I said earlier that it is a long list but I have to choose one from the men's and women's categories.

Willard Carroll Smith.

My favorite on the list has to be Will Smith, I first got to watch his movie when I was a kid. I don't know if you remember IRobot, the movie will get a kid glued to the TV screen. I watched this movie then just for the action, seeing robots moved around in the movie was fascinating and I didn't even understand the storyline.

Some years ago, I decided to watch the movie again and I got to understand the storyline very well. I took interest in Will Smith, I checked his other movies, and I fell in love with his numerous personalities as an actor. One thing I admire so much about him is how he blends into any role in a movie, I have seen him played the role of a father, doctor, con artist, victim/culprit, husband, comedian, and many others.

He brings so much originality and passion into a movie, he brings energy and makes the message in movies very clear. His role in the movie titled "In pursuit of happiness" was inspirational for me, how he struggled with so much and eventually became successful passed a huge message to me.

Life is full of stress, people will look down on you, turn you down, and deprive you of chances/opportunities but if you don't let them take away your determination then you will make it someday through hard work. I could relate a lot of things about my life to the movie, it tells a lot about people who are trying to be great out there and why they need to keep pressing hard until they fulfill their dreams.

Will Smith has got me emotional in lots of movies like King Richard where he was a father of two girls who became champions (the biography of Serena Williams and her sister), In pursuit of happiness, Concussion, and many others. How he makes his role looks very real is amazing and I don't get tired of seeing his movie more than once.

He is just an actor, he is a writer and producer as well and I think that makes him stand out.

Have you seen Bad boys, I am a legend, and many others? he nailed it. Having multiple characters in just one character is awesome and I think no one does that better than Will Smith.

It would interest you to know that he is the voice behind the character Lance Sterling in the animation movie titled "Spies in disguise", he made the magic happen and I wondered how he was able to pass that energy into the character he voiced.

Taraji P. Henson

I am not much of the female movie type but I have always had a crush on actresses like Priyanka Chopra, Taraji Henson, and a few others. It was hard choosing between these two, I am always eager to see them in movies because of how they make their role very realistic in movies.

If you are very familiar with Will Smith then you will know why I chose Taraji Henson over Priyanka Chopra, she is so full of energy and she brings it into every movie you find her.

I can't recall the first movie I found her but I fell in love with her acting, she is always open to any role in a movie. I usually don't get bored watching her, she passes that energy from the screen to keep high to the very end of the movie. I thought she fits into only comedy roles until I saw an old movie of her titled, "Taken from me". In it, she played the role of a mother who was deprived of the custody of her son. She was a different Taraji in the movie, I felt her pain watching from the screen. She was another entire personality in "Hidden Figures", and "Proud Mary", I think being able to play multiple characters makes her an awesome actress.

Taraji fits into any role, I don't know if referring to her as a utility actress would justify what I truly mean. She can be a friend, mother, nerd, fighter, and many other roles.

She played two characters in Acrimony which is one of the movies about her that I fell in love with, the first was a lovely and supportive wife who is so committed to her relationship but she eventually became her husband's nightmare when she found out that someone was enjoying everything she has labored for.

Taraji is an inspirational actress for me and her role in movies usually tells people and most especially females never to settle for less in life, being a female doesn't make you a subject of backlash, pain, torture, and abuse, I don't know if that has always been the intention of her role in movies but she certainly delivers always.

She got the ability to hear the thoughts of men in "What men want" after being overpowered by men as a female sports agent, she utilized her power and I can't love her less despite exposing my gender.

These two artists are my favorites and I can imagine what appearing together in a movie will look like, Taraji was Jaden Smith's mother in "The Karate Kid" and I enjoyed the love, emotions, and energy she brought into the movie. Having Taraji with Smith will be super exciting for me, aren't you looking forward to that as well?

What do you think the both of them would look like in a movie together, I have stories I can give to them for free as long as they are ready to act together just to fulfill my desires.

I admit it, I love will smith and especially his performances in Soy leyenda where he starts as a monologue of a man and his faithful dog (Focus and BAD BOY).

avatar

He did that in Hitch as well, he is very creative and keeps you glued to his story from the beginning to the end.

Will smith is an amazing actor. I love his character in I am legend with his dog. A breathtaking movie bro @george-dee.

The movie was scary and filled with suspense at the same time, I enjoyed the movie and the way he made it look so real was amazing.

Bad Boys was a great movie, but my respect to Will Smith gown low a lil bit since the last Oscars.

avatar

The incident at the Oscars was a huge blow to him but he did it out of anger, he overreacted.

King richard was a very crazy movie...it was absolutely good

It was filled with lessons and entertainment at the same time.

I love Will Smith, but I don't remember which was his first movie I saw. but without a doubt, I met him when he played the Prince of Rap (Prince of Bel-Air), a very funny series that I always liked. His role in The Pursuit of Happiness also inspired me in many ways and even more so when I went through a difficult family situation and my two little children at that time told me that I was just like him in that movie. It has been a great experience living that film that transforms us. The other one that I have always liked is Siete Almas, a beautiful plot of love and dedication.

I didn't really know the actress Taraji P. Henson and you left me a good list of movies to discover her. Excellent appreciated friend, a dreamer who likes movies sends you a big hug.

Thanks a lot for the hug, I felt it. I draw motivations and lessons from movies and that's one of the reasons why I am very selective about movies.

I am glad you overcame the challenges you encountered with the children, you should see HITCH and MEMORY as well.
