Cine TV Contest #25: Lost in Tokyo (ENG-ESP)
Perdidos en Tokio es una película con la cual me identifico, dado que en los últimos meses he pensado mucho en como será estar fuera de mi país, con personas que no conozco, una cultura diferente a la mía, pero sobre todo con un idioma desconocido para mí. Los seres humanos somos tan imprescindibles que tenemos momentos en los que nos da por pensar este tipo de cosas, las cuales no sabemos si algún día las experimentaremos.
Lost in Tokyo is a movie with which I identify myself, since in the last few months I have thought a lot about what it will be like to be outside my country, with people I don't know, a culture different from mine, but above all with a language unknown to me. We human beings are so indispensable that we have moments when we think about this kind of things, which we do not know if we will experience them someday.
En esta historia las vacaciones son diferentes a las que normalmente estamos acostumbrados a disfrutar y ciertamente yo también he tenido mis vacaciones aburridas, cono es el caso de Bob y Charlotte, un par de americanos que se conocen en Tokio por casualidad de la vida. Bod es una reconocida estrella de cine que viajó a Tokio para realizar un comercial de whisky, mientras que la hermosa Charlotte le hace compañía a su amado esposo, quien trabaja como fotógrafo de artistas reconocidos.
In this story, vacations are different from the ones we are usually used to enjoy and I have certainly had my own boring vacations, as is the case of Bob and Charlotte, a couple of Americans who meet in Tokyo by chance. Bob is a well-known movie star who traveled to Tokyo to make a whiskey commercial, while the beautiful Charlotte keeps her beloved husband, who works as a photographer for well-known artists, company.
Tanto Bod como Charlotte se sienten aburridos y desanimados durante la estadía en la ciudad, tanto así que el tedio les causa insomnio por el cambio de horario al que no se acostumbran, por lo que deciden salir cada uno por su lado a tomar un trago dentro del lujoso hotel donde se están quedando, estando ambos en el bar se conocen y de allí nace la amistad entre ambos aun cuando Bod es un hombre mayor y Charlotte es una linda joven lo que a simple vista demuestra que ambos tienen intereses diferentes por la diferencia de edades que existe entre ambos.
Both Bod and Charlotte feel bored and discouraged during their stay in the city, so much so that the tedium causes them insomnia due to the time change to which they are not used to, so they decide to go out each on their own to have a drink in the luxurious hotel where they are staying, being both in the bar they meet and from there a friendship is born between them even though Bod is an older man and Charlotte is a pretty young girl, which at first glance shows that both have different interests due to the age difference between them.
De dicha amistad surgen salidas a distintos sitios donde comparten con habitantes de la ciudad, logrando disfrutar de los momentos donde ambos se aprenden a conocerse, pero también conocen parte del entorno donde se encuentran, lo que hace que el aburrimiento se aleje y llegue el agrado, la comodidad y empatía.
From this friendship, outings to different places where they share with the inhabitants of the city arise, enjoying the moments where both learn to know each other, but also get to know part of the environment where they are, which makes boredom go away and the pleasure, comfort and empathy arrives.
La película en realidad no tiene esa chispa de enganche, pero a medida que transcurre el rodaje uno va observando que posee muchas escenas cercanas a la vida real lo que la hace interesante y por supuesto los personajes principales que son la esencia de esta, envueltos en un mundo totalmente desconocido y de allí el nombre "Perdidos en Tokio" dado que el principio los días pasan como inútilmente, sin tener algo realmente atractivo hasta que la casualidad une este par para vivir una serie de circunstancias motivadoras y diversión donde ambos se sumergen para darle sentido a estas vacaciones que los condicen a la atracción.
The film doesn't really have that spark of hooking, but as the shooting goes on one observes that it has many scenes close to real life which makes it interesting and of course the main characters who are the essence of this, involved in a totally unknown world and hence the name "Lost in Tokyo" since the beginning the days pass as uselessly, without having something really attractive until chance unites this pair to live a series of motivating circumstances and fun where both are immersed to make sense of this vacation that condicts them to the attraction.
Perdidos en Tokio es una película clásica que muestra hermosos paisajes donde se desarrolla la historia, la multitud que caracteriza dicha ciudad, las enormes edificaciones que muestran consigo, las grandes pantallas en 3D que son una gran atracción al público espectador, la cultura tan valiosa que poseen y por supuesto la gastronomía un tanto misteriosa.
Lost in Tokyo is a classic movie that shows beautiful landscapes where the story takes place, the crowds that characterize the city, the huge buildings that show with them, the large 3D screens that are a great attraction to the audience, the valuable culture they have and of course the somewhat mysterious cuisine.
En mi opinión, más allá de la película; vale la pena poder estar en esas hermosas calles disfrutando de algo nuevo y conociendo todo lo desconocido que se puede volver mágico y atractivo como lo hacen ver Bob y Charlotte quienes se las ingeniaron para pasar días y noches agradables a través de una cultura que no era a la que ellos estaban acostumbrados, pero tomaron la elección de formar parte de ella y encontraron la otra cara de la moneda por así decirlo.
In my opinion, beyond the movie; it is worth it to be able to be in those beautiful streets enjoying something new and knowing all the unknown that can become magical and attractive as Bob and Charlotte who managed to spend pleasant days and nights through a culture that was not the one they were used to, but they made the choice to be part of it and found the other side of the coin so to speak.
La historia transmite el valor de la amistad que lo puede todo y a su vez muestra que existen días grises los cuales podemos colorear a nuestro antojo haciendo de estos días mágicos y diferentes para nosotros que marquen la diferencia, porque todo está en la actitud que tengamos ante las diferentes circunstancias y eso fue precisamente el mensaje que me dejó este hermoso rodaje.
The story conveys the value of friendship that can do everything and at the same time shows that there are gray days which we can color as we wish, making these magical and different days for us that make the difference, because everything is in the attitude we have before the different circumstances and that was precisely the message that this beautiful shooting left me.
Perdidos podemos estar hasta en nuestra propia casa, la cuestión está en desear encontrarnos a nosotros mismos y cambiar el rumbo para mejor, tal como lo hicieron Bob y Charlotte quienes después de estar completamente aburridos pasaron unas vacaciones geniales ideadas a sus necesidades.
Lost we can be even in our own home, the point is to want to find ourselves and change the course for the better, as did Bob and Charlotte who after being completely bored spent a great vacation tailored to their needs.
