Greetings friends of #hive and @moviesTVshows community, it is a pleasure for me to be here to share with you my experience about the 1983 movie "Cujo" based on the book of the same name by the master of horror: Stephen King.

Saludos amigos de #hive y comunidad de @moviesTVshows, es un gusto para mi estar por acá para compartirles mi experiencia sobre la película titulada ·Cujo" del año 1983 que está basada en el libro del mismo nombre del maestro del terror: Stephen King.

The plot / La trama:

The plot is set in a peaceful town called Castle Rock, where a family, consisting of Donna (Dee Wallace), her husband Vic (Daniel Hugh Kelly) and their son Tad (Danny Pintauro), are attacked by a St. Bernard dog that has been infected with rabies.

The most affected by the attack of the rabid animal are Donna and her son Tad who have to remain locked in their car for three days to avoid being torn apart by the furious dog.

La trama se desarrolla en un apacible pueblo llamado Castle rock, donde una familia, inegrada por Donna (Dee Wallace), su esposo Vic (Daniel Hugh Kelly) y su hijo Tad (Danny Pintauro), sufren el ataque de un perro San Bernardo que ha sido infectado con rabia.
Los mas afectados por el ataque del rabioso animal son Donna y su hijo Tad que tienen que permanecer tres días encerrados en su auto para no ser destrozados por el furioso perro.

My opinion / Mi opinión

The master Stephen King wrote this novel in 1981 and it was made into a movie in 1983. The movie has some variations from the book, especially at the end when the story unravels. However, I think it is a good movie for lovers of suspense and terror, because it manages to keep the viewer tied to his chair and jump at the most shocking moments.

Usually St. Bernard dogs are a breed that are characterized by their tranquility and docility, but imagine this animal that weighs almost 100 kilos turned into a murderer because of rabies. Any person is in danger before the fury of a rabid animal, especially if it is this heavy animal against a woman and a child.

El maestro Stephen King escribió esta novela en el año 1981 y fue llevada al cine en el 83. La película tiene algunas variantes respecto al libro, sobre todo al final que es cuando se desenlaza la historia. Sin embargo considero que es una buena película para los amantes del suspenso y del terror, porque logra mantener al espectador atado a su silla y saltar en los momentos más impactantes.
Por lo general los perros San Bernardo son una raza que se caracterizan por su tranquilidad y docilidad, pero imaginen a este animal que pesa casi 100 kilos convertido en un asesino a causa de la rabia. Cualquier persona corre peligro ante la furia de un animal rabioso, sobre todo si se trata de este pesado animal contra una mujer y un niño.

The good and the not so good/ Lo bueno y lo no tan bueno.

I thought it was an excellent film in terms of the horror scenes and the suspense it gives to the story, however there are moments in the film that the plot gets a little boring, because the viewer is always waiting to see the action of the dog attack and the other "filler" scenes are not attractive and make you lose interest in them.

The director achieved his goal by filming very realistic scenes of the dog attacking the car where Donna and her son were, so much so that it gives it that atmosphere of terror that seems like it will never end.

It has convincing performances of the characters, especially that of the protagonist, who conveys that anguish and helplessness of not being able to solve the problem when she wants to.

A mí me pareció una excelente película en cuanto a las escenas de terror y el suspenso que le imprime a la historia, sin embargo hay momentos en la película que la trama se pone algo aburrida, debido a que el espectador está siempre esperando ver la acción del ataque del perro y las demás escenas de "relleno" no resultan atractivas y hacen que se pierda el interés en ellas.
El director logró su objetivo al grabar escenas muy reales del ataque del perro al auto donde se encontraban Donna y su hijo, tanto que le imprime ese ambiente de terror que parece que nunca va a acabar.
Cuenta con actuaciones convincentes de los personajes, en especial la de la protagonista, que nos transmite esa angustia y la impotencia de no poder solucionar el problema cuando así lo desea.

In conclusión/ Para concluir

Good and entertaining movie that shows us the importance of taking proper care of our pets, not only feeding them but also keeping them healthy with all their vaccinations. Taking into account that dogs are the ideal companion for children, we must be careful to prevent them from contracting any disease that can affect humans.

I know of a case of some hungry dogs that killed a child when they arrived at their residence on a trip, but they did not know that no one had fed them, and therefore they had several days without eating. Of course, when the child arrived, they did not know about it and attacked it.

These are cases that occur rarely but we must be careful when leaving animals in the care of third parties.

Buena y entretenida película que nos muestra la importancia de cuidar adecuadamente a nuestras mascotas, no solo de su alimentación sino de mantenerlo sano con todas sus vacunas. Tomando en cuenta que los perros son el acompañante ideal de los niños, debe tenerse la precaución de evitar que contraiga cualquier enfermedad que pueda afectar a los humanos.
Conozco un caso de unos perros hambrientos que asesinaron un niño cuando llegaban de viaje a su residencia, pero ellos no sabían que nadie los había alimentado, y por ende tenían varios días sin comer. Por supuesto al llegar el niño lo desconocieron y lo atacaron.
Son casos que ocurren rara vez pero que hay que estar atentos a la hora de dejar los animales al cuidado de terceras personas.
