When I read about writing about a visually stunning movie, what else better than a super catastrophic movie? Roland Emmerich, the director, is known for his catastrophic movies with huge scenes of destruction, including Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow, 2012, Godzilla, and maybe others. He loves special effects in movies.
In this case, the subject is simple... the moon exits the orbit and goes to crash into Earth. All behind the reasons for that I will leave for your curiosity to watch the movie and avoid spoiling. But I will give a hint IT IS CRAZY.

The movie brings good well-known actors such as Halle Berry, Jocinda Fowler in the movie, which acts as an important astronaut together with Brian Harper (Patrick Wilson, known for the horror series Insidious), who had his career demolished after a mission with Jocinda, when he lost his other partner in a weird event associated to the Moon. The authorities at first didn't believe what he saw, and because of that, they punished him. That event also destroyed his family. After that, his wife married another guy and moved with his son now a teenager is a bad guy stealing cars.
Who discovered that the moon is changing its orbit is KC Houseman (John Bradley, or like everyone knows him, Samwell from Game of Thrones), he is a normal guy that loves conspiracy theories, which in the end are true! KC brings the truth to Brian, that is giving a lecture to kids about his former astronaut experiences. And the movie goes on to the catastrophic events.

The scenes are like it was really happening, such as big Tsunamis, meteor showers, moon gravity pulling people. The movie is very visual with a very crazy narrative. I like this type of movie, so you guys can watch it at Amazon Prime, as I did.

Hopefully you guys enjoy it too.
