It's clobberin' time.

As with most of the movies, I took around 3 days to finish this one. Usually, I am too tired to watch movies, and if I stay late at night my night can become a nightmare since I have to stay awake at 7am to wake up the kids. I would say it was a pleasant experience to watch the first Fantastic Four movie produced by Disney. I really don't remember of the other versions of the movies, but this movie brings a bit of nostalgia, especially for those like me who read some comics for a while.

My first look was about the actors. To be frank, I didn't do any research about the movie before watching it. I was surprised with Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards the scientist and leader of the group. For me that was really great acting and he convinced me a lot. Another surprise was the actor as Johnny Storm. His face his face wasn't new for me. I had to stop the movie to look for him and I found my answer...he is Eddy from Stranger Things, a fantastic character from Netflix's TV show. It was weird to see him with a short blond hair instead of the black curly hear from the TV show. Sue Storm and Thing's actors didn't know them before this movie.
Another great aspect of the movies is that they have some retro aspects that make us think that the movie takes place in the 1960s. All the other movies they are usually with sceneries in the present. I think their goal was to get totally attached to the original comics' release date, which I believe was during the 1960s. Another nostalgic part was the use of the famous quote from The Thing “It's clobberin' time" when it was time to start fighting.
The end of the movie was a bit unexpected since I didn't remember from the comics. Galactus is indeed a famous villain from the family and his character in the movie is very similar to what I remember from the comics. An almost unbeatable devourer of worlds that is one of the most powerful beings in the universe. But the woman Silver Surfer was also a surprise, read after that this character actually was an affair from the original Silver Surfer. They changed the character a bit, anyways.

Despite the novelties in the story, the movie brings so many nostalgic feelings for those who love comics and I think that being original about the story makes something creative and not a total plagiarism from a story already told. It is a fun movie to watch!

I watched this one too a month ago, it wasn't THAT bad compared to other marvel recent movies... I'd say it was OK... I didn't like silver surfer being forced to be woman since he is a man, but they had to add something wokish lol
It was the weirdest part indeed it was the second thing that i googled to see whats going on 🤣
