MOVIE REVIEW : LOVE LOCKDOWN
I watched an old movie titled 'love on lock down' it is a Nigerian movie that actually centered around 3 actors. The major theme of the movie to me is the indecisiveness of men when it Fines to matters of the heart or especially when two women are in love with them.
The Theme movie was definitely set in the covid period where most people were stuck in different areas of the country or the world at large. Lovers had to spend the next one year together because of the lock down and couldn't travel back to their base or location.
Simply put, the summary of the movie is about a young man and a woman who claimed they are in love and were planning their wedding which would be happening very soon. Preparations were already in place and invitations had been sent out.
Due to the stress and wedding saga, the bride decided to go for a girls vacation with her friends, so that she can relax and relieve stress but unfortunately a frenzy came with the news that there was a pandemic and that the country was on a definite lock down.
This became an issue as she got stranded, but on the other hand, when the lady traveled the guys ex also came in from London for a job and to also see him. She was actually happy to see him but got devastated when he mentioned that he was getting married. She cried because she loved him so much. Due to the lockdown, she had to stay at his place. Note that he did not inform his fiancé that his ex was over at his house.
Distrust came when he could not reach his fiance for a while and the next was to fall back into the arms of his ex, they were so intimate for at least 2 days until his fiance reached to explain that her phone fell into water and had to dry it up. He felt guilty because he thought she was cheating on him and he moved on quickly.
In the end, when the fiance realized that he was sleeping with his ex, she called off the wedding and he actually returned back to his ex, claiming he has always loved her since the beginning.
