MOVIE REVIEW : UNCLAIMED

Last night, I watched this Nigerian movie titled "unclaimed". The movie basically centers on a complicated family who through their actions and decisions made a terrible mistake in trusting people.

The movie stars 2 prominent Nigerian actors Kunle Remi and Elma Mbadiwe. The story started when two couples went out to have fun in a nightclub and got drunk and in the end one of the couples had an accident and died. This was so traumatic for the second couple so they decided to take their friend son as their own.

In the cause of doing this, they showered a lot of love and care on this boy but they did not adopt him formally as their son. The boy and the girl which is their daughter grew up together in the same home and ended up falling in love with each other. The lady thinking that the boy was genuine with his love and care decided regardless of her wish to marry the boy because her mom and dad wanted it.

Along the line of getting married, secrets began to unfold and then she realize that the boy whom her parents had loved and taking care of overtime was jealous of the fact that he was not the only son of her parents. He became abusive and unkind towards her.

It even got to a point where he tried to frame her for his death so that he can be the only surviving child of her parents. In the end, you get to find out that it was the psychological trauma of its childhood that affected him so bad that made him do the things he did.
