Some spoilers included

Supernatural series and movies happen to be one of my best movie genre and when Stranger things came out I was excited to watch it with my sister but we were so disappointed with the first few episodes in season 1. We were expecting some badass supernatural scenes and we got some boring scenes and so we deemed it overated and decided not to keep watching it. When the season 4 came out this year and almost everyone was talking about it, and it was trending on all social media networks, we decided to give it a trial again. There must be something special about the series that makes it to be so hyped. Upon watching it again, it happened to be one of the best series I've ever watched.

THE PLOT

Season 3 ended with Eleven leaving Hawkins with Will's family since her adopted dad Hoops had died while they were destroying the machine that will open the gate to the underworld. The beginning of season 4 shows Eleven struggling to settle in well in her new school and that is understandable giving she had to separate from her boyfriend and her other friends almost immediately after lossing her dad.

To complicate things, a new threat emerged in Hawkins with troubled teenagers being murdered in a gruesome way. There we were introduced to the the evil character Vecna which happens to be the villian of the series.

Initially that wouldn't have been a problem if Eleven still had her powers since she had been the one saving the day ever since season one but it was different this time around because she lost her powers towards the end of season 3.

This made it to be very complicated for the young heros as they tried to find solution to the Vecna problem. The series also shows the journey Eleven had to take in order for her to regain her powers back and it was really painful for her. Imagine her having to relive all the horrible experiences she passed through in the facility while growing up.

Back to Hawkins, it came as a shock to everyone when we realized Max was going to be the next victim to Vecna. You see, all the victims of Vecna happens to experience same type of symptoms which include past trauma, headaches, seeing things that aren't there. By the time they were able to figured this out, Max only had 24 hours to live. Which brought them to a countdown for them to find a solution.

Eventually Nancy and Robin was able to find out a solution and that is playing the victim's favorite song and in Max case the song happens to be "Running up the hill" by Kate Bush and fortunately it worked. As Max was about to die in the hands of Vecna, the song started to play and a portal open. Seeing her friends through the portal reminds her of all the good memories she shared with her friends and it gave her the strength to fight for her life. That scene is the most amazing scene ever as she broke free from Vecna and ran into the portal.

Finally, Eleven was able to regain her powers and an amazing discovery was made to us viewers towards the end of the series.

Review and Ratings

First of all I will say the cinematography is amazing. The colors, the retro look of the scenes and the effects are breathtaking. To the plot, it's amazing how the stories connects to each other. From Nancy's findings to Eleven regaining her powers and the massive discovery of who Vecna is towards the end is simply amazing. But the most amazing scene of the entire season is the scene where Max was trying to escape Vecna. To me I will say she was lucky to have amazing friends who stood by her and never gave up on her. They tried all their best and was there to play her favorite song for her. The way she acted by running into the portal seeing her friends, trying to escape Vecna, and the song playing in the background is just epic. That scene is a definition of a song used perfectly well for a story line.

Also seeing Eleven having to experience her childhood trauma and willing to go through that in order to be able to help her friends really touched me. I'm so glad she passed through that because she was able to find out she didn't kill the other children and someone else did.

If you haven't watch this series, please do try and watch it. It is worth the hype and you won't be disappointed.

To me I will give series a 9/10 ratings. It's one of the best supernatural series I've ever watched and I can't wait for the season 4 part 2 to come out July 1st.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING MY POST. HAVE AN AMAZING DAY.

I just started watching the 4th season of stranger things. I saw season 3 in 2020 and after waiting for 2 years for this season, I really can’t remember much of what happened. I think the story is supposed to continue about 8 months later from where season 3 ended but it’s pretty funny with all the kids so grown up.

This new season is looking pretty cool from the get-go. I’ll just have to see the rest of it to judge.

Cheers!

It would be nice if you can rewatch season 3 to remember what happened.what helped me was that I watched all the seasons in a stretch
