I invite you to another Boxoffice review. The last quarter of 2023 was symbolized by disastrous results in cinemas, so we will start with a strong contender for the blunder of the year category. The film cost $200 million and earned pitifully little - $35.5 million. Who to blame? Well, in this case, definitely the advertising campaign people - promoting the film with an actor who was not on screen for even 10 minutes. A terrible advertising campaign that appealed to me because I know the director (not Kingsman, but I hear only positive opinions about him) and I know he is an artist. But there are definitely not enough people like me + even I don't know all the directors (it sounded like I was really deep into this topic, lol). And those terrible trailers that didn't reveal anything except that the movie was going to be weird. And these are the consequences. American Fiction earned almost half that amount - 15.3 million. Poor Things at least cost 35 million, so the almost 69 million profit is a much better result. Mean Girls may reach 100 million, but for now it's closer to 93. Horror film The Beekeeper grossed 123 million. Migration 22.5 and Wonka remains the hottest hit of the winter, earning 572.5 million.

Zapraszam na kolejny przegląd Boxoffice. Symbolem ostatniego kwartału 2023 były fatalne wyniki w kinach, więc zaczniemy od mocnego pretendenta do kategorii wpadka roku. Film kosztował 200 milionów dolarów, a zarobił żałośnie mało - 35 i pół miliona. Kogo winić? No w tym przypadku na pewno ludzi od kampanii reklamowej - promocja filmu aktorem, którego nie było na ekranie nawet przez 10 minut. Fatalna kampania reklamowa, która do mnie przemówiła, bo znam reżysera (nie Kingsman, ale słyszę o nim same pozytywne opinie) i wiem, że to artysta. Tylko że takich ludzi jak ja jest zdecydowanie za mało + nawet ja nie znam wszystkich reżyserów (zabrzmiało to tak, jakbym siedział w tym temacie naprawdę głęboko, lol).
