According to one analyst, CDPRed's latest game (not including the Witcher 1 remake) could cost around $800 million (or twice the development and marketing cost of CP2077). They've also added a mod that enables a sort of pseudo-multiplayer game. A friend checked it out. A new, major patch will be released for the game on February 3rd. By the way, since WoW is slowly coming to an end and you're looking for a new place to nerd out in front of your computer, Guild Wars 2 is apparently still doing quite well. There's even a decent amount of players for such an old game. Wow, over 13 years old.

[From WoW to LoL]
A Blizzard employee, one of the key creators of World of Warcraft, has joined the RIOT team and will be working on an MMO set in this world. Riot Games will definitely benefit from his experience, as creating a successful MMORPG isn't a quick slam dunk. Sure, once you're in the right place, you can make a lot of money, but the vast majority will never reach that point. And LoL has potential. I spent some time in that world, and since then, the lore has developed significantly. There are also hordes of players who are fans of this world. It might seem like a no-brainer, but we'll see how it goes.

UbiSoft is a true business expert, that's for sure! Cancel a game that has a very good reputation, players like it, and there is potential to sell it to new audiences (especially since the previous Metroidvania game wasn't that bad - I know because I helped my girlfriend get through more difficult bosses/parts).No, let's just cancel it and leave it at that, a game that's been in development for as long as the first installment (which, despite a strong campaign and more, didn't win over players like Ubi wanted). Brilliant move.

As you just read, Ubi's stock market share plummeted. If the news is to be believed, they lost 39% early on January 22nd. This put their market share at its lowest in 15 years! Less than a dollar a share! Besides, the creators of Prince of Persia have spoken out about the canceled project. Typical talk, but it's a shame. Even though my partner has played more Prince of Persia in her life than I have, I still have a fondness for the old Ubi trilogy. Well, at least for the first and second installments, The Warrior Within. I wanted to play the refreshed version, but since it's not possible, I have to play the PentAAAAA game - Assassin's Creed: Shadows xDDD.
They also killed another franchise. While I wasn't a Watch Dogs fan myself, a surprising number of players enjoy the title and are nostalgic for it. A well-known, long-standing Ubisoft problem has also returned: bullying, abuse of position, and more—the other side of the French company.

Since I summarized the news from the DB event a few days ago, here's a quick reminder. We'll be getting another anime adaptation of Battle of Gods, but this time it will be significantly improved and unified in terms of art style and character models. I'm very happy about this, as it utilizes the style of DB Broly – the best theatrical film in the franchise's history. We'll get an arc with Moro, but not until late 2027 at the earliest. I hope they delay it until late 2028. Why? The manga will probably resume this year. It will be a few months before Toyotaro draws a few chapters.
Besides, we're getting another game... I've criticized both DB and anime-based games many times. They're usually weak and mediocre, but they're also incredibly expensive. Looking at the new game, I have the exact same impression. Maybe it'll be "good" like Xenoverse, but I didn't get the sense from that trailer that it was a good game. Just some cheap spin-off, which I've only seen twice. Perhaps it will be some kind of crossover between DB Online and Xenoverse 3? Honestly, Toei Animation has the potential to be similar to World of Warcraft. Instead of making decent games, they're just rehashing the same old story without achieving outstanding results. Oh, and I almost forgot, the developers behind this game are Sparking Zero.

3 lutego do gry trafi nowy, duży patch. Swoją drogą, skoro WoW powoli się kończy i szukacie nowego miejsca do nerdzenia przed komputerem, to podobno Guild Wars 2 cały czas radzi sobie całkiem nieźle. Nawet graczy jest dość dużo, jak na tak wiekową grę. Wow, ponad 13 lat.

Jeden z pracowników studia Blizzard, jeden z ważnych twórców World of WarCraft, dołączył do ekipy RIOT i będzie pracował nad MMO w tym świecie. Riot Games na pewno przyda się jego doświadczenie, bo stworzenie udanego MMORPG, to nie jest takie hop siup. Jasne, jak już trafi w odpowiednie miejsce, to zarabia dużo forsy, ale zdecydowana większość nigdy nie dojdzie do tego punktu. A LoL ma potencjał. Spędziłem trochę czasu w tym świecie, a od tamtego momentu, lore zostało znacząco rozwinięte. Hordy graczy będącymi miłośnikami tego świata też są. Niby wygląda to na samograj, ale jak jest, to się przekonamy.

W tym UbiSoft to są ekstremalni eksperci od biznesu, nie ma co! Skasować grę, która ma bardzo dobry fame, gracze ją lubią, jest potencjał na sprzedanie jej nowym odbiorcom (tym bardziej, że poprzednia w klimatach Metroidvanii nie była taka zła - wiem, bo pomagałem mojej dziewczynie przejść trudniejsze bossy / fragmenty). Nie, skasujmy to w cholerę i zostawmy grę, która powstaje równie długo co 1 część (która mimo mocnej kampanii i nie tylko, nie kupiła serc graczy, jak sobie tego życzyło Ubi). Genialny ruch.

Tak jak właśnie przeczytaliście, Ubi straciło na giełdzie. Jeśli wierzyć newsom, z samego rana 22 stycznia, stracili 39%. Tym samym ich pozycja była najniższa od 15 lat! Mniej niż dolar za akcję! Poza tym twórcy Prince of Persia wypowiedzieli się na temat skasowanego projektu. Typowa gadka, ale szkoda ludzi. Mimo, że nawet moja partnerka grała więcej w Prince of Persia w swoim życiu niż ja, to darzę sympatią starą trylogię od Ubi. No, przynajmniej 1 i 2 część, The Warrior Within. Chciałem zagrać w odświeżoną wersję, no ale skoro nie da się, to muszę grać w PentAAAAA grę - Assasin Creed: Shadows xDDD.
Zabili też inną franczyzę. Co prawda sam nie byłem fanem Watch Dogs, ale zaskakująco wielu graczy lubi ten tytuł i darzy go nostalgią. Wrócił też dobrze znany, bo wieloletni, problem Ubisoftu. Mobbing, nadużywanie pozycji i nie tylko, czyli drugie oblicze Francuskiej firmy.

Z racji, że kilka dni temu streściłem newsy z eventu DB, krótkie przypomnienie. Dostaniemy kolejne anime adaptujące Battle of Gods, ale tym razem zostanie ono znacząco ulepszone i ujednolicone pod względem kreski, modelów postaci. Bardzo mnie to cieszy, bo wykorzystano styl z DB Broly - najlepszego filmu kinowego w historii marki. Dostaniemy arc z Moro, ale najwcześniej w late 2027. Mam nadzieję, że przesuną to do late 2028. Czemu? Manga pewnie zostanie wznowiona w tym roku. Zanim Toyotaro narysuje kilka rozdziałów, minie kilka miesięcy.
Poza tym dostaniemy kolejną grę... Wielokrotnie krytykowałem gry DB, jak i bazujące na anime. Zazwyczaj są słabe i przeciętne, ale za to cholernie drogie. Patrząc na nową grę, mam dokładnie te same wrażenia. Może będzie "niezłe", jak Xenoverse, ale nie wyczułem po tym trailerze dobrej gry. Tylko jakiś tani spin-off, który w dodatku widziałem ze dwa razy. Być może będzie to jakaś forma połączenia DB Online i Xenoverse 3? Powiem tak, Toei Animation ma w swoich rękach potencjał zbliżony do World of WarCraft. Zamiast zrobić porządne gry, to kręcą się wokół tego samego, nie osiągając wybitnych rezultatów. No i byłbym zapomniał, za produkcję tej gry odpowiadają developerzy Sparking Zero.
