[Paramount lays off employees]
Despite the success of Sheridan's series, streaming is only a part of the profits for companies. As Covid and others have shown, it is a much smaller part. Paramount has had problems for years, over a decade ago (if not longer) they had problems with financial stability and were close to being absorbed by larger entities several times. Now they are joining forces with Skydance Media, who produce quite good film, series and gaming content. Unfortunately, the company had to reduce the number of employees by another group of people.

[Tulsa King]
Some good news. Work on season 3 will start soon, and for now we can enjoy the news that Taylor Sheridan is working on a spin-off starring Samuel L. Jackson (as well as S3). Filming for the spin-off will probably start in February 2026, so there's a chance we'll see it next winter.

[Yellowstone spinoff]

Disney mówiący o kimś, że jest złodziejem lub stosuje bezprawne praktyki, to zabawny widok, ale tu jak najbardziej prawdziwy. Mam nadzieję, że w ślad za nimi pójdą mniejsze podmioty, które też uzyskają swoje przychody. Niestety nie zatrzymamy już tej rewolucji, puszka pandory została otwarta, ale trzeba robić wszystko, co się da, by spowolnić ten proces.

Mimo sukcesów seriali Sheridana, streaming to jedynie część zysków dla firm. Jak pokazał Covid i nie tylko, jest to zdecydowanie mniejsza część. Paramount ma problemy od lat, już ponad dekadę temu (jak nie dalej) mieli trudności ze stabilnością finansową i kilka razy byli o krok od wchłonięcia przez większe podmioty. Teraz łączą swoje siły ze Skydance media, którzy produkują całkiem niezły content filmowo-serialowo-gamingowy. Niestety firma musiała zredukować liczbę pracowników o kolejną grupę ludzi.
