We've received word that a remake of Kimba is in the works. It's worth mentioning a rumor I once spread, also on Hive. The point is that, contrary to appearances and fake news online, Disney didn't copy Kimba... Well, at least not entirely. The story goes that Tezuka was there first, and Disney may have been inspired by certain concepts, but he implemented them completely differently. Only the '97 film, released AFTER Disney's hit, had scenes ripped straight from the Simba film. You could say it's a form of historical justice, but... It's mostly theft. Either way, I'd love to watch this anime, as I watched it as a kid. It's great that after Pluto, Osamu Tezuka is back in fashion.

It's a shame Netflix killed the last of the hype for this anime's completion :<. The first season ended somewhat controversially, so I waited for the manga to finish so I wouldn't be upset later. Apparently, the ending didn't work out for Paru Itagaki, so I decided not to continue. From what I've heard from friends, Netflix is extending this franchise as much as possible.

Dostaliśmy informacje o chęci zrobienia remake'u Kimby. Warto tutaj wspomnieć o pewnej plotce, którą sam kiedyś puścilem dalej, również na Hive. Chodzi o to, że wbrew pozorom i fake newsom z internetu, Disney nie skopiował Kimby... No, przynajmniej nie do końca. Historia wygląda tak, że Tezuka był najpierw i Disney mógł się zainspirować pewnymi konceptami, ale poprowadził je zupełnie inaczej. Dopiero film z '97 roku, który wyszedł PO hicie Disneya, miał sceny żywcem zerżnięte z filmu z Simbą. Można powiedzieć, że to pewna forma sprawiedliwości dziejowej, ale... To przede wszystkim złodziejstwo. Tak czy inaczej, chętnie obejrzę to anime, bo oglądałem je za dziecka. Fajnie, że po Pluto jest znowu moda na Osamu Tezukę.

Szkoda, że Netflix zabił resztki hype'u na dokończenie tego anime :<. Pierwszy sezon zakończył się trochę kontrowersyjnie, więc czekałem na zakończenie mangi, by się potem nie wkurzać.
