"One Piece" trailer 2 - my opinion / Trailer OP 2

This morning, Netflix released the 2nd trailer of the series OP. It won't be a thorough analysis, because I don't want to xD. My overall impressions at the moment are more positive than after the first trailer. In fact, we got more scenes with special effects that look... well, so-so, but IMO that's forgivable. This is not a production on the level of "The Mandalorian" or the last two seasons of "Game of Thrones", which had huge viewership, and thus the producers could throw a penny to make it look like a cinematic level, but at the level of the 2nd league. OP is damn popular indeed, it is one of the most outstanding titles from Japan (and I say this as someone who dislikes OP more than likes them. It's a masterpiece that will be written in capital letters in world culture like DBZ, unless Eiichiro Oda fucks up its title like Masashi Kishimoto or Kubo Tite ... And unfortunately there is a chance, which I don't wish him), it is already among the elite of battle-shounen titles and is one of the few titles that is worthy rival in some respects the Empress who created the FMA.

The effects suck a bit, but this is a series in which plastic scenery and AliExpress are no longer enough, as in the 3 seasons of "The Witcher" and you need to plan your budget better. Set design, photos, choosing places, transferring the comic into the language of the series... Everything is on a solid level! Even the effects are sometimes good - Buggy looks great and could be the highlight of this series. Luffy's power is ok too - it wouldn't look much better, and there's no point in throwing an extra $100 million down the toilet to make those arms and legs look a little bit better (and it'd be pretty bad anyway, especially in a few years).

It seems to me after the trailer that they managed to capture the atmosphere of OP well - a bit serious, a bit comedic. Much sadness, but much joy. The jokes are genuinely funny - that Seagull, Zoro x Sanji relationship, Usopp, Nami and her approach as if she's a cynical, greedy OnlyFans chick who milks her sims like Disney drains Marvel and SW. Here I feel the OP vibe the least and for me it's more of an American teenager dressed as a navigator, but ... that's the kind of person Nami is for many episodes (apart from single scenes or features). Luffy is Luffy, I don't see the difference. Usopp is Usopp, minus the long nose, but that would look ridiculous on the show. And the actor playing the King of Cheaters either knows the OP and knows how to play Usopp (+ he has good skill and comedy timing for that, at least I think after these few takes) or he has good skill and someone told him what kind of person Usopp is. Zoro and Sanji... it's Zoro and Sanji. Garp is fucking Garp, she looks awesome! Mihawk... If it wasn't for that too plastic sword, it would be better, but visually it's very good! Arlong... Well, it looks like someone kicked him in the ass over a vat of blue paint, and then someone glued his nose with glue, but despite the artificiality, I'm used to him (and other fishmen) by now. To a large extent, he is saved by his voice - thick, full of cruelty, clearly associated with the antagonist. He bought me, I will live with the fact that he will fly with a plastic "sword". Roger could look better (I don't feel the aura of the Pirate King from him, as at the beginning of the anime), but it's ok, I have no major complaints. Shanks also looks less cool (Do you associate it with redhead Ryan Gosling? XD), but I also don't have any strong reason to complain.

I am generally satisfied. I see more things that I like than things that bother me. I'm not optimistic yet (the one I'm trying to fool XD. No, I'm really trying not to get involved after Netflix shit on "The Witcher" after season 1), but I won't hide it - I'd love to see it today. The fanservice turned me on. But luckily only 5 weeks of waiting :).

Dziś rano Netflix, udostępnił 2 trailer serialu OP. Nie będzie to dokładna analiza, bo nie chce mi się xD. Moje ogólne wrażenia, na ten moment są bardziej pozytywne niż po pierwszym trailerze. Fakt, dostaliśmy więcej scen z wykorzystaniem efektów specjalnych, które wyglądają... No, tak sobie, ale IMO można to wybaczyć. To nie jest produkcja na poziomie "The Mandalorian" lub ostatnich dwóch sezonów "Game of Thrones" , które miały olbrzymią oglądalność, a co za tym idzie, producenci mogli rzucić groszem, by wyglądało to jak poziom kinowy, ale na poziomie 2 ligi. OP jest co prawda cholernie popularne, jest jednym z najwybitniejszych tytułów z Japonii (i mówię to jako ktoś, kto bardziej nie lubi OP niż je lubi. To dzieło, które zapisze się wielkimi literami w światowej kulturze, jak DBZ, o ile Eiichiro Oda nie spierdoli swojego tytułu, jak Masashi Kishimoto lub Kubo Tite... A niestety jest na to szansa, czego mu nie życzę), już teraz należy do elity tytułów battle-shounen i jest jednym z niewielu tytułów, który jest godny rywalizować w niektórych aspektach z Cesarzową, która stworzyła FMA.

Efekty lekko ssą, ale to jest serial, w którym już nie wystarczy scenografia z plastiku i AliExpress, jak w 3 sezonach "Wiedźmina" i trzeba lepiej rozplanować budżet. Scenografia, zdjęcia, wybranie miejsc, przeniesienie komiksu na język serialu... Wszystko trzyma solidny poziom! Nawet efekty są momentami dobrze - Buggy wygląda super i może być highlightem tego serialu. Moc Luffy'ego też jest ok - dużo lepiej by to nie wyglądało, a nie ma sensu wyrzucać dodatkowo 100 milionów dolarów do kibla, by te ręce i nogi wyglądały odrobinę lepiej (a i tak ten efekt byłby kiepski, zwłaszcza za kilka lat). Jak na standard telewizyjny, jest dostatecznie dobrze.

Wydaje mi się po trailerze, że dobrze im się udało uchwycić klimat OP - trochę poważny, trochę komediowy. Dużo smutku, ale dużo radości. Żarty są autentycznie śmieszne - ta Mewa, relacje Zoro x Sanji, Usopp, Nami i jej podejście jakby była cyniczną, chciwą panienką z OnlyFans, która doi swoich simpów, jak Disney drenuje Marvela i SW. Tutaj najmniej czuję klimat OP i dla mnie to bardziej Amerykańska nastolatka ubrana jak nawigatorka, ale... taką osobą jest właśnie Nami przez wiele odcinków (pomijając pojedyncze sceny lub cechy). Luffy to Luffy, nie widzę różnicy. Usopp to Usopp, minus ten długi nos, ale w serialu to by wyglądało idiotycznie. A aktor wcielający się w Króla Oszustów, albo zna OP i wie, jak grać Usoppa (+ ma do tego dobre umiejętności i comedy timing, tak mi się przynajmniej wydaje po tych kilku ujęciach) albo ma dobrego skilla i ktoś mu powiedział, jaką osobą jest Usopp. Zoro i Sanji... to Zoro i Sanji. Garp to kurwa Garp, wygląda zajebiście! Mihawk... Gdyby nie ten zbyt plastikowy miecz, to byłoby lepiej, ale wizualnie jest bardzo dobrze! Arlong... No widać, że wygląda tak, jakby ktoś go kopnął w dupę nad kadzią z niebieską farbą, a potem ktoś mu przykleił klejem ten nos, ale mimo sztuczności, to już się do niego (i innych ryboludzi) się przyzwyczaiłem. W dużej mierze ratuje go głos - gruby, pełny okrucieństwa, jednoznacznie kojarzy się z antagonistą. Mnie kupił, przeżyję fakt, że będzie latał z plastikowym "mieczem". Roger mógłby wyglądać lepiej (nie czuję od niego aury Króla Piratów, jak na początku anime) , ale jest ok, nie mam większych zarzutów. Shanks też wygląda mniej fajnie (też Wam się kojarzy z rudym Ryanem Goslingiem? XD), ale również nie mam jakiegoś mocnego powodu do narzekań.

Generalnie jestem zadowolony. Widzę więcej rzeczy, które mi się podobają niż tych, które mi przeszkadzają. Nie nastawiam się jeszcze optymistycznie (ta, kogo ja próbuję oszukać XD. Nie no, serio staram się nie angażować po tym, jak Netflix obsrał "Wiedźmina" po 1 sezonie), ale nie będę ukrywał - chętnie bym to zobaczył już dziś. Fanserwis mnie nakręcił. No ale na szczęście tylko 5 tygodni czekania :).
