"Predator 2022" teaser - my commentary / teaser nowego Predatora, mój komentarz

Recently, the first teaser of the new "Predator" hit the web. They didn't show us much - part of a new battlefield, probably two heroines, and the characteristic sign of a plasma gun. Perhaps in some countries this film will be released in cinemas (because it is to be ultimately released on the Hulu platform - i.e. Disney + for adults). The action of the film will take place 300 years before the action of the 1st film with Arnold, ie in 1687. Immediately complaints about political correctness appeared on the Internet, women as the main protagonists. Let me put it this way, these allegations are kind of funny. Of course, I understand that some people might be pissed off by the trend that women are cast as main characters in classic movies. However, in those days, especially in a place like this, women were stronger because no one thought about such a thing as equality. Women had to work just as hard, and some of them had to perform male tasks (e.g. when guys went on a big hunt, attack a village or some of them died and women have to replace them). Besides, they may be fighters. I explained in the texts about "Kingdom" and "Banshee" that women, provided the appropriate conditions, can compete with men and even beat them. There are few such cases, but they do happen. They have better accuracy, agility, are more flexible, have better stress resistance and mental endurance. And the last argument - remember how the Predator was defeated. They were not helped by new technology, but by ordinary weapons and smarts, which is the most suitable for those times. People knew the terrain and nature better, they were more physically fit (because they did not have machines that would make their lives easier and relieve their muscles, just like today). Overall, I will definitely watch this movie and I hope I will not be disappointed. "Predator" does not require a large budget - if Hulu properly distributes the money (read. Invest most of it in those elements that need money to look at the cinema level), you will be able to pretend that it is a production at a good level. Something like "Mandalorian" or the most expensive Netflix series (such as "Altered Carbon" - I recommend it to everyone, a perfect thing for fans of the game "Cyberpunk 2077"). Ostatnio do sieci trafił pierwszy teaser nowego "Predatora". Nie pokazali nam zbyt wiele - część nowego pola bitwy, zapewne dwie bohaterki oraz charakterystyczny znak działa plazmowego. Być może w niektórych krajach film ten trafi do kin (bo ma trafić docelowo na platformę Hulu - czyli Disney+ dla dorosłych). Akcja filmu będzie się dziać 300 lat przed akcją z 1 filmu z Arnoldem, czyli w 1687. Odrazu w internecie pojawiły się narzekania o poprawność polityczną, kobiety jako główne bohaterki. Powiem tak, te zarzuty są trochę śmieszne. Oczywiście, rozumiem że niektórych może wkurzać trend, że kobiety są obsadzane jako główne bohaterki w klasycznych filmach. Jednakże w tamtych czasach, zwłaszcza w takim miejscu, kobiety były silniejsze, bo nikt nie myślał o czymś takim, jak równouprawnienie. Kobiety musiały pracować równie ciężko, a niektóre z nich musiały wykonywać męskie zadania (gdy np. faceci pojechali na duże polowanie, zaatakować wioskę lub część z nich zmarła i kobiety muszą ich zastąpić). Poza tym, być może są to wojowniczki. Tłumaczyłem przy tekstach o "Kingdom" i "Banshee", że kobiety przy spełnieniu odpowiednich warunków, mogą rywalizować z mężczyznami, a nawet ich pobić. Takich przypadków jest mało, ale się zdarzają. Mają lepszą celność, zwinność, są bardziej giętkie, mają lepszą odporność na stres i wytrzymałość psychiczną. No i ostatni argument - przypomnijcie sobie, jak Predator został pokonany. Nie pomogła im nowa technologia, a zwykła broń i spryt, co jak najbardziej pasuje do tamtych czasów. Ludzie lepiej znali teren, naturę, byli bardziej sprawni fizycznie (bo nie mieli maszyn, które by ułatwiały im życie i odciążały mięśnie, tak jak dziś). Generalnie na pewno obejrzę ten film i mam nadzieję, że się nie rozczaruję. "Predator" nie wymaga dużego budżetu - jeżeli Hulu odpowiednio rozłoży pieniądze (czyt. zainwestuje większość z nich w te elementy, które potrzebują kasy, by wyglądały na kinowym poziomie), to będzie można udawać, że to produkcja na dobrym poziomie. Coś jak "Mandalorian", czy najdroższe seriale Netflixa (jak np. "Altered Carbon" - polecam wszystkim, perfekcyjna rzecz dla fanów gry "Cyberpunk 2077"). Czekam na trailer i premierę, a ta już niedługo - 5 sierpnia. Jak podoba się Wam teaser?
