And yes, I've seen it before, but I don't know if I will see it again anytime soon.
It was indeed a good watch, and I commend Matt's parenting ability and skill, despite that he did it alone after the death of his wife.
He was there for Maddy, physically, academically, emotionally and even psychologically, while he was still dealing with his own shit and emotional instability.
He first-hand learned parenting and did it so well when it seemed that he couldn't.

This goes as far as showing that fathers could be great parents too, the work shouldn't always be left for the mothers alone. Matt had to step up to be everything to his daughter Maddy after the mom passed away and he did the job so well.
Thanks for bringing back memories of this movie to us.

Uff, poor Matt certainly had his work cut out for him learning and doing that hard work. But yes, you have to admire and respect those who have to be a single parent.
