Hi guys!
I am glad to be part of this engaging and inspiring community. While exploring the #hive blockchain, I read the content of one of my followers and this drew my attention the community because it sounds like something I will enjoy reading and engaging with.
About the movie
My childhood moment cannot be complete if I do not add "The Karate Kid" as part of the unforgettable movies I watched. "The Karate Kid" movie got me emotional and at the same time made me wish to be a fighter in the future, lol—here I am, a fighter but not literally, lol.
The movie began with a young American boy who relocated to China with his mother but disliked the country because he was bullied by some kids who learned karate. After several attempts to persuade the mother to leave the country, it dawned on him that this is where he will start life. Behind the incident, a young man who seemed to be a janitor was observing him closely.
One fateful day while he was bullied by his peers, the janitor came out of the blue and saved him by combating with the kids. The poor child was treated by the man, and later he got him home. Out of curiosity the boy came back to see the janitor and express gratitude to him. This was when they began to build a good relationship.
The man began to teach him some defense skills. Before then, he was reluctant to teach him. What led to the intensive training? The janitor went to apologize to the kids whom he fought with but ended up meeting their master; the apology was accepted based on a deal—the boy will fight in a karate tournament with the kids.
The training was rigorous in the beginning for the boy, but he began to master the skills he was taught; fast forwarding, during the tournament the boy who knew nothing about karate fought as a pro, which got his opponents wondering (especially the opponents that knew him). The most interesting part of the movie was when his leg got broken during the fight, but yet he still got backed up to fight the final match. When he came to the stage, the crowd cheered him so much because of his resilience, dedication, and grit.
At the end of the match, he defeated his opponent and got the medal!
Moral Lesson
The movie did not make sense to me till I got to be an adult. Here are things I learned from the movie:
- Do not run from the fears.
- If life breaks you down, you have the choice to accept your fate or stand up and fight!
- Get a mentor if you feel confused in life.
The movie ended with a song, "never say NEVER"!
What kind of deal is that , you are bullying someone and still make a deal not to bully him again . Well, is good he later win , it's sound interesting
