The eyes play a major role in human behavior. Mostly, people get influenced first by the things they see before any other influence. Movies are so interesting and eye-catching to man and how it influence a person, is approximate to how it influences society; for the society is made of different people with different perspectives of viewing life. For the sake of this article, I'll introduce a popular movie which has gained ground in international cinemas.

A Tribe called Judah is a Nollywood movie produced by an iconic Nigerian movie producer and Actor, Funke Akindele. This movie portrays a woman, who is a mother of five sons from different fathers. Their fathers are from different tribes of Nigeria: Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Ijaw and Edo. The first impact of this movie is the bringing together of different tribes in Nigeria to feature in the story. It resonates around unity in diversity and how people could be united despite their individual differences. In the movie, these sons always have each other's backs without a second thought. The love that exists among them is something that evokes the spirit of unity among a people. Now, in a state over thousands of people have streamed the movie, it is possible to elicit the spirit of brotherhood among people. This is because the movie carried so much emotional charisma, possible to affect a person.

Additionally, Jedidiah Judah the main character of the movie, who named her children after her name, Judah, played the role of a symbolic mother figure. A motherly love could be criticised but is very touching. She was a mother who loved her children to the last letter. This love almost knew no bounds, therefore she loved her children to the fault. One of her sons, Timini was a notorious thief. In an instance where he was caught to the point of being burnt alive, she was around the scene and ran and laid on top of her son, disagreeing that she had better be burnt than to live to watch her son die. This is touching as she continues to cry while begging the accusers for mercy. This is a pointer that a mother could love her child so much that she doesn't include discipline in this affection. If this is copied by members of society, it will mar societal standards, and instead of parents correcting their children, they defend their children's wrong with the claim that they love their children, meanwhile they're only being wicked to them.

One critical issue that popped up in that movie which is synonymous with the present condition in Nigeria is the issue of capitalist domination. Jedidiah, the mother of sons gets sick and needs a lot of funds to pay her hospital bills. Her first son who's a sales boy at a showroom is the breadwinner of the family. He is not paid effectively by his boss but is forced to work even beyond his working hours. His Boss is rich but decides to extort labour from his staff. This is a significant tussle between the bourgeoisie and proletariat in the Nigerian economic system, portrayed in this scene. It reaches the point where Ejiro, the first son begs his boss for a loan but he refuses to support, even with the awareness of his mother's state. This goes beyond capitalist dominance to the wickedness of men. Such an evil attribute should be detested by society.

Moreso, in that movie, Ejiro lost his job in the midst of his mom's strife. This led to frustration for him and all his siblings, typically depicting the issue of unemployment in a regular Nigerian society. They resorted to robbery as their last option to get money. Evidence that unemployment in a country could result in a high crime rate. They rubbed Ejiro's boss and this operation didn't go smoothly. It claimed the life of Ejiro which was quite sad to watch. Nigerian society has to provide enough opportunities for youths to meet their end needs. If not, insecurity will increase in various parts of the country.

In view of the movie, every escapade serves as a mirror to view the goods and ills in society for the purpose of fixing.
