Behind every Grinch there is always a story to tell [ENG-ESP]

Greetings dear friends of Movies & TV Shows, today I'm back in this community to make my first entry to the contest Christmas Contest: Write About ANY Christmas Themed Movie or Series, for those who wish to participate I leave you the link, you still have time. I was very happy to know that they accept movies from all decades, for that reason, here I come with a classic that is never missing in the Christmas festivities, the Grinch, an unforgettable character that has become an icon since its premiere on the big screen. Many of us identify with this character, what do we know about him, he hates Christmas, and those of us who don't like the Christmas season (I include myself) do not hesitate to label ourselves with the label "Grinch".
The Grinch does not like Christmas, in my particular case it was not always like that, I spent many years longing for the arrival of the season, the best of all, for the gifts, the food, the premieres, the family reunions, vacations, but is that really Christmas, what does Christmas really mean? The Grinch doesn't like Christmas, I liked it, however, something changed and I suddenly stopped liking it, even before the Grinch arrived to put the label on me. Eventually, they release the movie and there fiction and reality come together, if the Grinch exists and has a reason to be. Hence the title of my entry, "Behind every Grinch there is always a story to tell," although I would add something else, "When the worst things happen to you in December."
Synopsis
In Villaquién, the Whos are happy, they are on the eve of Christmas, all buying gifts, clothes, lights, competing for the best decorated house and merchants take full advantage of the season to fill their pockets. Everyone is happy, except one, the Grinch (Jim Carrey), a character who hates Christmas. He lives away from everyone on top of a mountain, only his dog Max accompanies him, he is faithful, but he does not agree with his master's attitude, besides being green and bitter, he only thinks about how to hate the Who and his own self-pity.
Everyone is afraid of him, but little Cindy Lou (Taylor Momsen), who looks past the Grinch's tough green skin, thinks he has a good heart. However, the Grinch's heart is very small and shrinks several sizes every day, for our resentful character was all pride and joy. Cindy Lou, did not see Christmas as the rest of the inhabitants and that is why she will try to teach them all a big lesson, including the Grinch himself.
First, he began to investigate, why was the Grinch like that, why does he hate Christmas, and then he discovered something important, something happened to him during the Christmas season that marked him forever.
Our character
The Grinch hated himself even more than the Whos. Jim Carrey was in charge of giving a sarcastic touch to the character, he also made him look funny and very jocular, but if we look closely into his tiny heart, really, the Grinch was very unhappy. He had a very special itinerary, schedules for self-pity, torturing himself, hating and he even said that among his activities was included "eating with himself", very sad.
As a child he was always different, not only because of the way he was, but also his physique, he was green and with hairy cheeks, that did not help him much in his life.
When the worst things happen to you in December
What happened to the Grinch was not so serious in my opinion, maybe he lacked emotional intelligence and that just led him to isolate himself and live a life full of bitterness and frustrations. Perhaps many will identify with this character, many sad and difficult things happened to me in December, so Christmas is no longer my favorite season. For years I have been using the label that expanded due to the absence of my mother, among other things, I was no longer just the Grinch at Christmas, I was the Grinch on birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day .... and so it went on. This past year, although always Grinch and joking, on December 31 there was an episode with my father that made us stop at a hospital, a place where there were other people, perhaps feeling as Grinch-like as I was.
A Grinch who deep down longed to...
I knew the Grinch hates Christmas, and the thing is, it had been years since I had seen this movie, I only kept vague memories of some scenes and this inspired me to refresh my memory, watch it again to make my entry. I Grinch, deep down I longed for Christmas and thought in the midst of my torture that I was a strange Grinch, I didn't like Christmas, but deep down, I wanted to enjoy the season and if I was invited to share I didn't hesitate. I thought our green character was more radical and I would even be betraying the etiquette, but... I got a big surprise, he, in spite of everything, also longed for Christmas, in spite of everything.
There was a scene in which the inhabitants of Villaquién were singing Christmas carols and he, without thinking, started to sing, then, in his self-torture he realizes and says something like "What am I doing, it was as if he was refusing to be happy. Undoubtedly, the joy of Christmas is very contagious, even for the Grinch, simply irresistible.
My final thoughts
Re-watching the movie was very rewarding, also funny and very touching. This movie teaches us the true meaning of Christmas, that the things that happen to us have nothing to do with the season and that it is always best to forgive.

Saludos estimados amigos de Movies & TV Shows, hoy estoy de vuelta en esta comunidad para hacer mi primera entrada al concurso Christmas Contest: Write About ANY Christmas Themed Movie or Series, para los que deseen participar allí les dejo el enlace, aún están a tiempo. Me alegró mucho saber que acepten películas de todas las décadas, por tal motivo, aquí vengo con un clásico que nunca falta en las festividades navideñas, el Grinch, un personaje inolvidable y que se ha convertido en un ícono desde su estreno en la pantalla grande. Muchos nos identificamos con este personaje, ¿Qué sabemos de él?, que odia la navidad, y a quienes no nos gusta la época decembrina (me incluyo) no dudamos en ponernos la etiqueta.
Al Grinch no le gusta la navidad, en mi caso particular no siempre fue así, pasé muchos años anhelando la llegada de la época, la mejor de todas, por lo regalos, la comida, los estrenos, reunirse en familia, vacaciones, pero, ¿es eso realmente la navidad?, ¿Qué significa realmente la navidad?. Al Grinch no le gusta la navidad, a mi me gustaba, no obstante, algo cambió y de pronto dejó de gustarme, incluso, antes de que llegara el Grinch para ponerme la etiqueta. Con el tiempo, estrenan la película y allí la ficción y la realidad se unen, si existe el Grinch y tiene una razón de ser. De allí el título de mi entrada, “Detrás de cada Grinch siempre hay una historia que contar”, aunque yo le agregaría algo más, “Cuando las peores cosas te pasan en diciembre” .
Sinopsis
En Villaquién, los Quién están felices, están en la víspera de navidad, todos comprando regalos, ropa, luces, compiten por la mejor casa decorada y los comerciantes aprovechan al máximo la época para llenarse los bolsillos. Todos están felices, menos uno, el Grinch (Jim Carrey), un personaje que odia la navidad. Vive alejado de todos en lo alto de una montaña, solo su perro Max lo acompaña, es fiel, pero no está de acuerdo con la actitud de su amo, además de verde y amargado, solo piensa en cómo odiar a los Quién y en su propia autocompasión.
Todos le temen, pero la pequeña Cindy Lou (Taylor Momsen), quien mira más allá de la dura piel verde del Grinch, piensa que si tiene un buen corazón. Sin embargo, el corazón del Grinch es muy pequeño y cada día disminuye varias tallas, para nuestro resentido personaje era todo un orgullo. Cindy Lou, no veía la navidad como el resto de los habitantes y por eso intentará darles a todos una gran lección, incluyendo al propio Grinch.
Primero, se puso a investigar, ¿Por qué era así el Grinch?, ¿Por qué odia la navidad?, y entonces, descubrió algo importante, le pasó algo en la época decembrina que lo marcó para siempre.
Nuestro personaje
El Grinch se odiaba a sí mismo, incluso, más que a los propios Quién. Jim Carrey se encargó de darle un toque sarcástico al personaje, también lo hacía ver divertido y muy jocoso, pero si miramos de cerca en su diminuto corazón, realmente, el Grinch era muy desdichado. Tenía un itinerario muy especial, horarios para la autocompasión, torturarse a sí mismo, odiar y hasta decía que entre sus actividades estaba incluida la de “comer consigo mismo”, muy triste.
De niño siempre fue diferente, no solo por la forma de ser, también su físico, era verde y con las mejillas peludas, eso no ayudó mucho en su vida.
Cuando las peores cosas te pasan en diciembre
Lo que le pasó al Grinch no fue tan grave en mi opinión, quizás le faltó inteligencia emocional y eso justo lo llevó a aislarse y a vivir una vida llena de amarguras y frustraciones. Tal vez muchos se identificarán con este personaje, muchas cosas tristes y difíciles me pasaron en diciembre, entonces, la navidad dejó de ser mi época favorita. Desde hace años uso la etiqueta que se expandió por la ausencia sin regreso de mamá, entre otras cosas, ya no era solo el Grinch en navidad, lo era en los cumpleaños, día de las madres, día del padre….y así continuó. Este pasado año, aunque siempre Grinch y bromeando, el 31 de diciembre hubo un episodio con mi padre que nos hizo parar en un hospital, un lugar donde habían otras personas, quizás sintiéndose tan Grinch como yo.
Un Grinch que en el fondo anhelaba…
Sabía que el Grinch odia la navidad, y es que, hacía años que no veía esta película, solo guardaba vagos recuerdos de algunas escenas y esto me inspiró a refrescar mi memoria, volverla a ver para hacer mi entrada. Yo Grinch, en el fondo anhelaba la navidad y pensaba en medio de mi tortura que era un Grinch extraño, no me gustaba la navidad, pero en el fondo, quería disfrutar de la época y si me invitaban a compartir no lo dudaba. Pensaba que nuestro personaje verde era más radical y yo hasta estaría traicionando la etiqueta, pero…me llevé una gran sorpresa, él, a pesar de todo, también anhelaba la navidad, muy a pesar de todo.
Hubo una escena en la que los habitantes de Villaquién cantaban villancicos y él sin pensar, se puso a cantar, luego, en su auto tortura se da cuenta y dice algo como que ¿Qué estoy haciendo?, era como si se negara a ser feliz. Sin lugar a dudas, la alegría de la navidad es muy contagiosa, hasta para el más Grinch, simplemente irresistible.
Mis reflexiones finales
Volver a ver la película fue muy gratificante, también divertido y muy conmovedor. Esta película nos enseña el verdadero significado de la navidad, que las cosas que nos suceden no tienen nada que ver con la época y que siempre es mejor perdonar.

Que buena reseña amiga, yo no he visto la película pero sabia que el grich no le gusta la navidad ignoraba las razones, si es cierto no son las situaciones difíciles que pases en esta época, yo perdí un ser querido en esta época y bueno el significado de la navidad es sentirte identificado con la época pues es paz, unión y hermandad.
