Greetings friends of CineTV, I hope you are well, I am very happy to participate again in another of your wonderful initiatives, the best comedy movie contest, one of my favorite genres.

As I have told you in other occasions, I am a horror lover, yes, mystery and suspense movies I love, but also comedy movies, who doesn't like to laugh. The list of movies is long, I have seen a lot of them and I have fond memories of them. Since I can't include them all, I'll leave a small portion of my most outstanding repertoire.

The Nutty Professor

This movie perfectly combines comedy and fiction and starred the renowned actor, Eddie Murphy. I don't know why I didn't like this little black guy, I didn't like his movies, but this movie made me forget a little bit about the actor as such and I immersed myself in the interesting plot of the film and of course the comedy and fiction that surrounds it.

The movies I know of Eddie Murphy are all comedies, I don't remember him breaking with this scheme. As I was saying, I didn't like this actor, I always saw him a bit overacted and that bothered me a little. Everything changed when I saw The Nutty Professor, and maybe because I saw a change in his physical appearance, to the point of thinking that the obese man was played by another actor. Turns out not to be the case, it was surprising to discover that Eddie Murphy played not only the obese and huge nutty professor (Sherman Klump), but the rest of the family, such as the grandmother, mother, brother and father. Wow, admirable, it was hard work for this actor.

The plot focuses on Professor Sherman Klump, a shy man who considers himself unlucky in love because of his physical appearance and invents a formula based on the reconstruction of DNA to lose weight, only that this formula has not been perfected and the effect lasts very little, just this ingredient that makes us all laugh. When Professor Klump loses weight, is when you can see Eddie Murphy himself, there is a drastic physical change, but also of personality. In fact, he comes across as another person, Body Love.

I think the idea was for Klump to be the same but slimmer, however, he is not, Body is funny, outgoing to the point of being a bit obnoxious with his arrogant personality, the complete opposite of the shy and good-natured Professor Sherman klump. The success of the first film led to the filming of a sequel, almost as funny or even funnier than the first.

What did I like about professor klump. That it made me laugh from beginning to end, there is a bit of black humor and double entendre that is impossible to ignore. One of the scenes that made me laugh a lot was when the effect of the formula was about to end and Body Love began to deform, his arms and legs grew and his voice changed, he would become Professor Klump again and in front of a large crowd of people. People looked at him in surprise, as no one imagined that it was a potion that turned Sherman into someone else.

In the end, despite the theme of the comedy, the message it conveys is that there is no formula that can improve our lives, that we must accept ourselves as we are and that special person loves us without having to change anything, unless it is a bad habit that can harm us in life.

Liar, Liar

This is another movie with which it is impossible not to laugh, the protagonist is none other than the great comedian Jim Carrey. I already told you about him in another edition and this time he takes the award with "Liar, Liar".

In this film we can see divorced parents, the typical plot, the mother has custody and the father visits the child on weekends. But, Fletcher Reede (Jim Carrey) is a lawyer by profession, who to build his promising career lies and distorts reality to get the cases he usually always wins.

So, Fletcher got used to lie and not to say what he thinks, the problem is that the lie overcomes all his areas and disillusions his son, to whom he promises things that then can not fulfill. In addition to his multiple occupations, he lies every time he cannot see his son and this bothers Max (Justin Cooper). So much so that at his birthday party, tired of his father's lies and empty promises, he makes a wish and it comes true, "that in one day Fletcher Reede cannot lie".

From there the real fun begins, we see Jim Carrey gesticulating in an exaggerated way so as not to lie and say what he really thinks and that is very funny. The black humor is another ingredient that does not fail, I laughed at the scene where he was in a meeting and insulted everyone because he could only tell the truth. In one of the trials he couldn't lie to win the case and the scene was very funny because he embarrassed his client.

Problem Child and Problem Child 2

This is another one of my favorite comedy movies. In part I, Junior (Michael Oliver), is adopted by Ben Healy (John Ritter) along with his wife Flo Healy (Amy Yasbeck), who have had a hard time conceiving.

What they don't know is that Junior is a mischievous and unbearable child, who has been returned from many homes, some 30 times. One of the scenes that made me laugh was when Junior left with the Healy couple and the nuns at the orphanage threw a party.

Junior hates clowns, something no one in his new family knew, when he arrives at his new home, he realizes that the decorating motif for his room was clowns, this infuriated the boy and started a big fire. His grandfather, Big Ben Healy-Villain (Jack Warden) labeled him as the "devil himself", hahaha.

Flo couldn't stand Junior and asked her husband to give him back, however, Be refused. What made this foster father different. He didn't abandon him, he made a difference, he sought to understand him and to understand that his lack of attention resulted in countless pranks, quite heavy by the way, and he decided to keep him.

In part II, the Helalys (Ben and Junior) move to another town to start over, Ben falls in love with Annie Young (Amy Yasbeck) who has a daughter as naughty as Junior, Trixie Young (Ivyann Schwan). The movie is full of funny scenes, one of the most memorable being when Junior is not tall enough to ride one of the amusement park rides, Trixie taunts him and cheats by wearing tall shoes. In revenge, Junior speeds up the ride in an exaggerated manner causing everyone to vomit all over each other, a total disaster.

Another unforgettable scene was when Ben invites LaWanda (Laraine Newman), one of his wannabe wives, to dinner. Junior put a lot of cockroaches in the food, you could see lettuce walking around the table by itself and old Ben trying to poke her with his fork. Then, LaWanda eating, and while she was smiling, a cockroach was stuck near her mouth, Ben was looking at her in amazement, that caused me a lot of laughter and even more when these bugs were rampaging all over the place and LaWanda was screaming non-stop.

These movies are indeed very funny, I don't think there is anyone who doesn't laugh with these scenes, and of course, with these actors who did a really memorable job.
