It's been sixteen years since the last season of Avatar: The Last Airbender was released. The show was goated, and every season was epic. The writers and producers need to be awarded again for dropping masterpieces to the world. These past few days I have been watching some clips of the animation on TikTok, and I have noticed a few things which didn't get my attention when I first watched the film.

The Last Airbender story was about Aang's journey to master all four elements and stop the 100-year war the Fire Nation started before he was born, but there is more to this animation. The film was not just about Aang alone, but also about the fire nation prince Zuko. The writers chip in Zuko's story in the film without us figuring it out.

Prince Zuko's story was about redemption and purpose. Zuko was banished by his father Fire Lord Ozia from the Fire Nation and was only to return home when he captured the Avatar. Zuko made it his life's mission to capture the Avatar and regain his honour back from the fire nation, and also win his father's love.

The Fire Lord never loved his son and challenges his son to Agni Kai( Agni Kai is a traditional fire bender duel for one's honor, and the only way to determine the winner is when one opponent burns the other) and scars Zuko in his left eye. Zuko was accompanied by his Uncle General Iroh to find the Avatar. The young Prince travelled around the four nations chasing the Avatar but could not catch him, and this delayed his return home.

In season 2 of The Last Airbender, Zuko lost everything, his ship and men. The prince of the Fire nation had to go on a low profile and live in the Earth kingdom Ba Sing Sa with his uncle. Iroh tried to convince his nephew to decide his destiny and not the one his father chose for him, but the young prince had a tough time deciding and betrayed his Uncle. Iron was captured by Azula (Zuko's younger sister) and taken to prison.

Zuko returned home and was praised by his father for killing the Avatar in Ba Sing Sa which was a lie because Azula was the one that shot lighting to the back of the Avatar and lied to her father that Zuko was the one who killed the Avatar. Zuko got everything he wished for, his honor and his father's love, but Zuko was still not at peace in the palace.

Zuko went to meet his Uncle in prison countless times for help, but his Uncle just said a few things and told him to choose his destiny. Zuko finally realized what he was meant to do and decided to join the Avatar group and teach Aang fire bending. The last episode saw Zuko battle his sister in Agni Kai for the Fire Nation throne with the help of Kitara.

The young prince was crowned the Fire lord and with the help of the Avatar, they restored balance to the world. Avatar News has confirmed a Zuko movie will be released in 2025, looking forward to it and love to see how the writers give us a better view of the character. So guys that's all for now. Thanks for stopping by, and have a nice day.

Coye how nice that they are going to release a production dedicated to Zuko, he always seemed very strong to me in the anime and also that he wasn't evil, even though they tried to make him become that. Looks really good the poster, it really catches the attention.

I can't believe that it's been 16 years since the series ended! It's crazy to me that the show still is a masterpiece after all these years. As kids, there was something appealing about watching other fictional kids fight whole armies and save the world.

Zuko was definitely a complex character. Last year I also heard whispers about an arc of some sort for the character given that there have been unanswered questions. I'm looking forward to the story but most importantly I want to see how Netflix handles the live action series of Aang and the gang in 2024. There's a lot of potential with this story.
