The premiere of the new Superman movie, which was directed and written by James Gunn, is having a positive opening at the box office. This movie was the front pillar to the rebirth of the DC studios under James Gunn and it had to be a success for other upcoming projects to succeed in the cinematic universe of the DC studios. It has been a year or two since James Gunn took over the DC studio and released his plans for the company going forward into the future, and it was not easy because he had to end the DCEU, and drop some main role cast to begin the new phase.

It caused a rocket among DC fans that sparked a lot of controversy on the internet as some fans were not happy with the new changes unfolding. The new Superman movie was different from what it used to be over the past years as James Gunn already pointed out doing the creation of the story that there won't be an origin story of Superman because frankly everyone knows how that story happens and there is no point remaking that same sense over and over in a reboot. The movie's main focus is on Superman's adaptation to planet Earth and how he can balance his two separate lives on the planet.

The Man of Steel was not only the main character of the film, but also the introduction to the Justice Gang followed in the movie. The Justice Gang members were Guy Gardner(greenlighten), Mr Terrific and Hawk Girl. The three characters above made their debut in the live-action movie as they had never been featured in one during the DCEU days. It was nice to see how James Gunn was able to explore the characters and fit them perfectly in the movie, and I can tell that won't be the last time they will appear on the screen, as there is still more to come from those characters.

The villain in this movie was the normal foe of Superman. Lex Luthor played a vital role in this movie as his obsession with Superman was off the charts. Nicholas Hoult did an amazing job portraying Lex Luthor, and I would have to say he has to be the best we have gotten so far over the years. I have to hand it to Games Gunn for putting together an incredible cast for the movie. The movie also showed how Superman was powerless in a political dispute as the Man of Steel is not bulletproof against the law.

The movie is on its way to making 600 million dollars at the box office, which is fair as it is one of the most successful hits from DC in a long time. In general, I would rate the movie an 8/10, which is fair, because I think James Gunn can do better in the long run. It was a great movie and you all should check it out. So that will be all for now.
