Wicked: For Good (2025) is the second part of Wicked (2024), which is an adaptation of the iconic Broadway musical of the same name, with Wicked: For Good being an adaptation of the second act. Having said that, I will express my opinion, which no one asked for. To be honest, this second part is far below what we saw in the first installment. I think they had the opportunity to greatly improve the second act of the musical (which is quite weak in itself), and I believe they did not take advantage of it as they should have. The positive points or factors that I liked about the film were the costumes. I also think they greatly improved the lighting compared to the first film, which is very good. I didn't like the new arrangements of the songs; honestly, I prefer all the originals. For me, the most mistreated was “The Wicked Witch of the East.” I have nothing against Marissa Bode because she does it quite well, but I still feel that she doesn't capture the feeling of the original song. I feel a little more comfortable with others, such as Wonderful. I think it was a really good idea to add Glinda to that musical number (if you've seen the musical and know more or less the story, you'll know what I mean), as it fits better with Elphaba's decisions. I was a little disappointed with the musical numbers featuring Michelle Yeoh, and mind you, I think she's perfect for Madame Morrible, but it's no secret that she can't sing. In the first movie, I didn't care much because I only participate in The Wizard and I. I think they could have found an actress to do her singing parts (something like in K-pop Demon Hunters), but oh well, I guess it is what it is.

Habiendo dicho esto, expresaré mi opinión que nadie pidió. Siendo sincera, esta segunda parte esta muy por debajo de lo que vimos en la primera entrega, pienso que tenían la oportunidad de mejorar mucho el 2do acto del musical (que de por si es bastante flojo) y creo que no lo aprovecharon como deberían. Como puntos positivos o los factores que a mi me gustaron de la película fueron los vestuarios, también creo que mejoraron mucho la iluminación respecto a la primera película y eso esta muy bien. No me gustaron los nuevos arreglos de las canciones, sinceramente prefiero todas las originales, para mi, la mas maltratada fue The Wicked Witch of the East, que no tengo nada en contra de Marissa Bode porque lo hace bastante bien, pero aun así siento que no le llego al sentimiento de la canción original. Con otras me siento un poco mas cómoda como con Wonderful, creo que fue realmente un acierto agregar a Glinda a ese numero musical (si has visto el musical y sabes mas o menos la historia de este, sabrás a que me refiero), pega mas con las decisiones de Elphaba. Quede un poco decepcionada con los números musicales donde participa Michelle Yeoh, y ojo, ella me parece perfecta para Madame Morrible, pero, para nadie es un secreto que no canta.
