Ayer tuve la oportunidad de encontrarme con este trabajo increíble del director "Steven Spielberg", un trabajo en el que deja entrever, presentada en forma semi-autobiográfica, la disfuncionalidad de una familia judía-estadounidense durante la década de los 60.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to come across this incredible work by director "Steven Spielberg", a work in which he gives a glimpse, presented in a semi-autobiographical way, of the dysfunctionality of a Jewish-American family during the 1990s. the 60s.

Ésta película ha generado diferentes opiniones entre la crítica especializada. Ha sido un trabajo bien aplaudido de Spielberg, el cual muchos aseguran que ha sido una manera de regresar al cine con la chispa que caracteriza su trabajo en la gran pantalla.

La película tiene mucho drama y algunos pocos momentos de comedia propiciados por la actuación de Seth Rogen que aligeraron un poco la carga dramática que llevaba el film. Al ser un trabajo audiovisual semi-autobiográfic, hay espacio para la ficción, y aunque no podemos asumir cuales momentos dentro de la película fueron reales y cuales no, creo que muchos de ellos fueron tomados desde lo vivido por la familia del director.

The film has a lot of drama and a few moments of comedy brought about by the performance of Seth Rogen that lightened the dramatic load of the film a bit. Being a semi-autobiographical audiovisual work, there is room for fiction, and although we cannot assume which moments in the film were real and which were not, I believe that many of them were taken from what the director's family experienced.

Al ver las 2 horas y media de película, solo pude concentrarme en lo triste que fue presentado todo. No fue un sentir de lástima ni pena por lo que vivió con su familia, sino las circunstancias en la que todo se fue desenvolviendo y como ésto lo llevó a vivir momentos para los que tal vez no estaba preparado o simplemente no pensó que viviría.

Watching the 2 and a half hour movie, I could only focus on how sad everything was presented. It was not a feeling of pity or pity for what he lived with his family, but the circumstances in which everything unfolded and how this led him to live moments for which perhaps he was not prepared or simply did not think he would live.

No hay forma de ver a Michelle Williams en un mal papel, la mujer tiene una habilidad innata para llevarte sus personajes al siguiente nivel; extrañaba verla en films y me gustó mucho verla tomar este papel. Paul Dano es uno de mis actores favoritos, hay algo en sus trabajos actorales que hacen eco una vez que termina su interpretación, es un actor versátil y espero verlo más seguido porque su trabajo es justo lo que esperaba que fuese.

There is no way to see Michelle Williams in a bad role, the woman has an innate ability to take her characters to the next level; I missed seeing her in films and I really liked seeing her take this role. Paul Dano he's one of my favorite actors, there's something about his acting jobs that echoes once his performance is over, he's a versatile actor and I look forward to seeing him more often because his work is just what I expected whatever it was

Gabriel LaBelle ha sido un descubrimiento interesante para mi y para muchos. Ya he visto previamente su trabajo en la serie "American Gigolo" y su potencial actoral quedó otra vez demostrado de forma genial en este film. Con Seth Rogen me pasa que cada vez quiero ver más de sus trabajos, hacer la transición de comedia a papeles más serios creo que ha sido una oportunidad en su carrera que solo le dará frutos dentro del cine y la TV.

Gabriel LaBelle has been an interesting discovery for me and for many. I have already seen his work in the series "American Gigolo" and his acting potential was once again brilliantly demonstrated in this film. With Seth Rogen it happens to me that every time I want to see more of his work, making the transition from comedy to more serious roles I think it has been an opportunity in his career that will only bear fruit within the cinema and TV.

La ambientación fue increíble, siempre es un gustazo a la visto ver como son capaces de llevarnos al pasado cuando este tipo de producciones llegan al cine, es un trabajo arduo recrear épocas pasadas y en esta ocasión, como en su gran mayoría, fue increíble verlo hacerse realidad. Los detalles en como se manejaba y funcionaba una cámara analógica, lo que implicaba editar las películas y como eso un montón de detalles más, creo que hicieron aún más rico el film.

The setting was incredible, it is always a great pleasure to see how they are able to take us back in time when this type of production reaches the cinema, it is hard work to recreate past times and on this occasion, as in the vast majority, it was incredible to see it come true. The details on how an analog camera was handled and worked, what editing the films involved and like that, a lot of other details, I think made the film even richer.

La banda sonora acompañó perfectamente bien la historia y fue, como debe ser siempre, el complemento ideal de una película. El tiempo fue justificado perfectamente, abarcaron espacios y momentos importantes y relevantes para la historia y creo que no sentí que ninguno de ellos fue innecesario o que estuvo fuera del contexto narrativo.

The soundtrack accompanied the story perfectly well and was, as it always should be, the ideal complement to a film. The time was perfectly justified, they covered important and relevant spaces and moments for the story and I think I didn't feel that any of them were unnecessary or outside the narrative context.

Al final, puedo asegurar que fue una película bastante triste, más que cualquier otra cosa. Ver como una familia es separada por problemas ajenos a los hijos es algo que marca vidas y que son fáciles de olvidar. Entiendo mucho en lo que culturalmente se vivía en tiempos anteriores pero nada justifica el romper aquello que se prometió duraría toda una vida y que solo conllevaría a heridas entre la misma familia. Fue un trabajo muy bonito y muy íntimo de parte de Spielberg, aunque no sepamos toda la verdad sobre lo que fue real y lo que fue ficticio, puedo entender que no fue fácil mucho de lo que vivió en su adolescencia.

In the end, I can assure you that it was a pretty sad movie, more than anything else. Seeing how a family is separated by problems unrelated to the children is something that marks lives and is easy to forget. I understand a lot about what was lived culturally in previous times but nothing justifies breaking what was promised would last a lifetime and would only lead to injuries between the same family. It was a very nice and very intimate work on the part of Spielberg, although we don't know the whole truth about what was real and what was fictional, I can understand that much of what he lived through in his adolescence was not easy .
