A quadriplegic billionaire (Philippe) hires an ordinary guy from the neighborhood to be his personal in-home caregiver (Driss); although at first he doesn’t seem like the right person for the job, over time the two manage to form a connection—two men from different worlds who hit it off until they develop a powerful, dysfunctional yet eloquent friendship.

In this film, we see a man with a fun personality and a laid-back attitude; he doesn’t let anything or anyone get him down—he’s imperfect and humble. That’s Driss, a simple man who leads an uncomplicated life; on the other hand, we have Philippe, a mature, cultured, and well-educated man who listens to classical music but decides to hire Driss when he realizes that Driss is different from the people he’s dealt with before. He immediately realized that Driss wouldn’t pity him and would treat him like a normal human being despite his disability.

It’s undoubtedly a unique story—funny, yet thought-provoking. What makes this film so appealing is that it doesn’t dwell on the disability; instead, it focuses on portraying this dramatic aspect with a comedic, ironic tone—with wit and clarity—depicting a sudden, sincere, and transparent friendship. Setting aside social differences, these two men forge a unique bond that many failed to understand and even found strange.

The funniest part of this movie is seeing how they supported and challenged each other to try new things—listening to music, skydiving, stepping out of their comfort zones, and seeing the world from a different perspective—a friendship that will keep them united on this adventure of life.

It’s undoubtedly a very beautiful, entertaining, and thought-provoking story, full of humor and color. It’s well worth watching; I invite you to enjoy it.

Un hombre tetrapléjico multimillonario (Philippe) contrata a un hombre ordinario de barrio para que sea su cuidador personal a domicilio (Driss); aunque al principio no parece ser la persona correcta para este trabajo, con el tiempo ambos logran crear una conexión, dos hombres de mundos diferentes, que congenían hasta conseguir una amistad poderosa, disfuncional pero elocuente.

En esta película, vemos a un hombre con una personalidad divertida, con una actitud relajada; no se da mala vida por nada ni por nadie, imperfecto, humilde. Ese es Driss, un hombre sencillo, que lleva una vida sin complicaciones; por otra parte, tenemos a Philippe, un hombre maduro, culto, educado, y escucha música clásica, pero decide contratar a Driss al darse cuenta de que es diferente a las personas con las que ha tratado. Se dio cuenta enseguida de que él no le tendrá compasión y lo tratará como un ser humano normal a pesar de su discapacidad.

Sin duda es una historia diferente, divertida, pero a la vez reflexiva. Lo atractivo de esta película es que no hace hincapié en la discapacidad, sino que se enfoca en mostrarnos esta parte dramática con un tono cómico, irónico, con gracia y lucidez, una amistad repentina, sincera y transparente; sin tomar en cuenta las diferencias sociales, estos dos hombres crean este vínculo único, al que muchos no comprendían e incluso les parecía extraño.

Lo más divertido de esta película es cómo vemos que ambos se apoyaban y se retaban entre sí a probar cosas nuevas, escuchar música, saltar en paracaídas, salir de su escondite y ver el mundo desde otro punto, una amistad que los tendrá unidos en esta aventura de la vida.

Sin duda es una historia muy bonita, entretenida, reflexiva y llena de humor y color; vale la pena verla, te invito a disfrutarla.
