Nothing is what it seems : Yellowjackets

A group of young teenagers, take a plane trip, to participate in a soccer competition, but suffer a terrible accident, being trapped in the middle of nowhere, in a wild place, without food, in the open, now they must find how to survive there, what would you do, if you were in this situation? Only surrounded by nature, where hunger, and fear takes over you, and makes you commit the worst possible acts, all to survive.

Mystery, chaos, death, survival, love, drama, terror, in short, this series covers this and much more; when it started, the first thing I thought, it seems a horror story, and the truth is not far from this theme, however, there are mysteries that will be unveiled as each scene passes.

Yellowjackets, is the name of this series, currently consists of 2 seasons, with a total of 19 chapters, the series has a good cast, starting with the famous actress Christina Ricci(Misty), Melanie Lynskey(Shauna), Juliette Lewis(Natalie), which embody the main characters of this story.

This is a fictitious story, but there are some facts, which are based on real events, when they see themselves alone, without food or any hope of survival, they must find a solution among themselves, as when that tragic accident occurred in the Andes.

Un grupo de jóvenes adolescentes, realizan un viaje en avión, para participar en una competencia de futbol, pero sufren un terrible accidente, quedando atrapadas en el medio de la nada, en un lugar silvestre, sin comida, en la intemperie, ahora deben buscar como sobrevivir allí, ¿qué harías tú, si te encontraras en esta situación? Solo rodeado de la naturaleza, donde el hambre, y el miedo se apodera de ti, y te hace cometer los peores actos posibles, todo para sobrevivir.

Misterio, caos, muerte, sobrevivencia, amor, drama, terror, en fin, esta serie abarca esto y mucho más; cuando empezó, lo primero que pensé, parece una historia de terror, y la verdad no está alejado de este tema, sin embargo, hay misterios que se irán desvelando a medida que transcurre cada escena.

Esto es una historia ficticia, pero hay algunos hechos, que se ven, se basaron en eventos reales, cuando al verse solas, sin comida, ni nada esperanza de sobrevivir, deben entre ellas, encontrar la solución, como cuando ocurrió aquel trágico accidente de los Andes.

As I mentioned, at the beginning of the series, we see some pretty shocking scenes, it leaves you intrigued, and of course you want to know more, but then, the story transforms, with this group of girls, who suffer this accident, and well as it progresses, is that we see what emerges.

Como mencione, al principio de la serie, vemos unas escenas bastante impactantes, te deja intrigado, y por supuesto quieres saber más, pero luego, la historia se transforma, con este grupo de chicas, que sufren este accidente, y bueno a medida que avanza, es que vamos viendo lo que surge.

Cabe señalar, que en esta historia nos muestra dos tiempos diferentes alternativamente, donde veremos a este grupo de chicas jóvenes, en los años 90, sufrir este trágico accidente, mientras que 25 años después, nos van reflejando poco a poco, a las sobrevivientes.

On the one hand, it is fine, but if the plot starts with some terror and suspense, this change of time does not reflect it at all, since the real terror occurs in the forest, then one as a viewer expects to see more of this, which led them to commit all those acts that we saw at the beginning.

However, this is something that we will find out as each chapter goes by, especially to know who survived, with that touch of intrigue, I guess that's the goal, to keep you there, waiting to know a little more, to see who survived, how they got out of there, what really happened, with each character.

It is here where we see the participation of the aforementioned actresses, each one representing an important role in this story, with their way of facing everything they lived, some with traumas, others continued their lives, as if nothing, trying to leave it all behind, as if it had never happened.

It is where they reflect that touch of normality in their lives, however, they cannot leave all that they lived through behind, because there are still many questions, and everyone wants to know what really happened in that forest, how they managed to survive for so long without food.

Por una parte, está bien, pero si la trama comienza con algo de terror y suspenso, este cambio de tiempo, no lo refleja del todo, puesto que el verdadero terror ocurre en el bosque, entonces uno como espectador espera ver más de esto, que las llevo a cometer todos esos actos que vimos al inicio.

Sin embargo, esto es algo que iremos encontrando a medida que transcurre cada capítulo, sobre todo el saber quienes sobrevivieron, con ese toque de intriga, supongo que ese es el objetivo, mantenerte allí, esperando saber un poco más, ver quienes sobrevivieron, como salieron de alli, que paso realmente, con cada personaje.

Es aquí donde vemos la participación de las actrices, ya antes mencionada, cada una representa un papel importante en esta historia, con su manera de enfrentar todo lo que vivieron, algunas con traumas, otras continuaron sus vidas, como si nada, tratando de dejar todo eso atrás, como si nunca hubiera pasado.

Es donde reflejan ese toque de normalidad en sus vidas, sin embargo, no pueden dejar todo esto que vivieron atrás, porque sigue existiendo muchas interrogantes, y todos quieren saber qué paso realmente en ese bosque, como lograron sobrevivir tanto tiempo sin comida.

On the other hand, there is that moment of teenagers, the conflict and drama, which can not be missing, the mixture of genres, in short, in my opinion, this was too much, but ignoring all that, the series has its good moments, it can not be denied.

The music, the scenography, the performances, give it a different, attractive plus, especially the musical part, those rock songs, I liked it a lot, that's why I give it a 9.

It is an entertaining series, I'm not saying it's bad, but not the best, if you like this kind of stories, with teenagers, some mystery and intrigue, maybe it will appeal to you.

Por otra parte, está ese momento de adolescentes, el conflicto y drama, que no puede faltar, la mezcla de géneros, en fin, a mi parecer, esto estuvo de más, pero bueno ignorando todo aquello, la serie tiene sus buenos momentos, no se le puede negar.

La música, la escenografía, las actuaciones, le dan un plus diferente, atractivo, sobre todo la parte musical, esas canciones rockeras, me gusto mucho, por eso les doy un 9.

Es una serie entretenida, no digo que sea mala, pero tampoco la mejor, si les gusta este tipo de historias, con adolescentes, algo de misterio e intriga, quizás les atraiga.
