There are stories that, over time, make an impact all over again—those movies or TV series that were acclaimed in their day and are now being brought back to the spotlight with new versions and new actors, but always with the same narrative. In this case, some of you may remember a movie called The House of the Spirits, released in 1993 and starring Meryl Streep and Jeremy Irons.

I’ve never read the book, but I do remember seeing the movie, so the series caught my attention. It certainly did the story justice—everything was well portrayed, from the characters to the setting, all very true to the era.
This second adaptation of the novel also features strong characters, starting with its protagonists, all or nearly all of whom are of Mexican descent, such as Alfonso Herrera (Esteban Trueba) and the famous actress Fernanda Castillo (Ferula). I must admit that I was very surprised when I saw her—the change in this role was so drastic, yet so well executed.
Here, the series meticulously depicts Chile’s political history during that era; it also chronicles the lives of these women—spanning three generations: Clara, Blanca, and Alba—and their courage in the face of their father’s misdeeds.
A well-told and well-executed story, this fresh new version unfolds at a measured pace, leaving nothing out.
A series full of drama, romance, and injustice that gives us a glimpse into the Chilean dictatorship; it’s definitely worth watching to delve into that era, travel back in time, and remember.

En este caso, quizás algunos recuerden una película denominada La casa de los espíritus, estrenada en el año 1993, y protagonizada por Meryl Streep y Jeremy Irons

Recientemente salió una nueva versión, pero esta vez como serie, la cual consta de 8 capítulos; dicha historia se basa en una adaptación de una novela de Isabel Allende. La misma nos relata una crónica familiar, la historia de los Trueba, durante tres generaciones, y los hechos cambiantes durante todos esos años, a nivel socioeconómico, político y social.
Nunca leí el libro, pero sí recuerdo haber visto la película, y por ende me llamó la atención la serie, la cual sin duda cumplió por completo la historia, todo bien relatado, tanto con los personajes como el escenario, todo muy propio de la época.
Esta segunda adaptación de esta novela también cuenta con buenos personajes, empezando por sus protagonistas, siendo todos o casi todos de origen mexicano, como lo es Alfonso Herrera (Esteban Trueba), y la famosa actriz Fernanda Castillo (Ferula). Confieso que me sorprendió mucho al verla, el cambio tan drástico en este papel,pero muy bien ejecutado.
Aquí nos muestra de forma minuciosa la historia política de Chile en aquella época; también nos relata la vida de estas mujeres, en tres generaciones, Clara, Blanca y Alba, y su valentía contra las fechorías de su padre.
Una historia bien relatada y ejecutada,una nueva versión con aire fresco, relatada con pausa, sin dejar nada por fuera.
Una serie llena de drama, romance, injusticias, que nos relata un poco de la dictadura chilena; sin duda vale la pena mirar y adentrarse en esas épocas, viajar al pasado y recordar.

No, no recuerdo haber visto esa pelicula en aquellos ya lejanos 90. Ahora lo que si te puedo decir es que el nombre de este producto es bastante llamativo, lo lei en el feed y llamo mi atencion 😃😃
No me espere nunca que tratara sobre dictadura chilena o bueno que su entorno sea alli, pense era paranormal, me llamo la atencion y lo vere a su momento pero hare igual que tu, vere primero ña pelicula 😁😁👍🏻
