Las historias de Western, tiene ese toque que te engancha, con sus paisajes, su ambiente, esa conexión con la naturaleza, lugares llenos de historia, del pasado, de belleza, y para quienes nunca han ido o conocido un sitio así, es un mundo nuevo, alejado de la gran ciudad, sin duda, es todo un reto, poder vivir lejos de lo urbano, rodeado de lo rural, en un área agrícola, silvestre y montañoso.

En parte, de eso se trata esta serie, The Madison, donde nos muestra esa conexión con la naturaleza, y alejarte de la ciudad, tras una perdida.

Opinión:

Hace poco termine de ver esta serie, había visto su publicidad por televisión y las redes, la verdad no me llamaba mucho la atención, pero al mirar el primer capitulo, quise seguir conociendo y ver un poco mas de esta historia.

Sin duda perder a un ser querido es un golpe muy duro, sobre todo cuando sucede de forma inesperada, sin esperarlo, sin darte tiempo de nada, ni de despedirte, en esta serie, podemos ver el dolor reflejado en diferentes emociones, duelo, culpa, y una total desconexión.

Con tan poco episodios, pero bien estructurados, de forma pausada, va mostrando las emociones de cada personaje, con una narrativa algo lenta, e incluso vacía, en el que vemos como actúan con esa fragilidad, el sobrellevar el dolor y la perdida de un ser querido, siendo la naturaleza su refugio.

Como siempre lo he sentido y visto, la mejor manera de desconectarse de todo, es alejarse de la ciudad, y buscar esa conexión con la naturaleza, con sus paisajes, que trasmiten calma, y aislamiento, un momento de tranquilidad dentro de tanto caos, esta historia te hace pensar, que tan apegados solemos ser a lo material, cuando podemos ser felices sin tanta comodidad.

Sin duda el sello de Taylor Sheridan es visible en toda esta historia, totalmente alejado del mundo de Yellowstone, pero que aun así muestra una historia mas intima, con su aislamiento en la gran Montana, con cada valle, paisaje, lagos, montañas, y ese amanecer que te atrapa.

Con respecto al papel de Pfeiffer, el temple de esa mujer, y a la vez la fragilidad con la que lleva su dolor, no es fácil, puesto que carga con un gran peso, porque debe lidiar con todo eso, convirtiéndose en un ancla, para sostener a su familia, lograr hacer lo que no pudo con su esposo, guiar a sus hijas a una independencia que honre a su padre.

En Conclusión:

En fin, es una buena historia, atractiva, lenta, de reflexión, lidiar con el dolor, con el duelo, todos lo manejan a su manera, hay que respetarles eso, darle su espacio, su tiempo, sin presiones, y bueno, valorar mas al que esta vivo, porque ya cuando no esta, de nada sirve.

And for those who have never been to or experienced a place like that, it’s a whole new world, far from the big city. Without a doubt, it’s quite a challenge to live far from the city, surrounded by the countryside, in a rural, wild, and mountainous area.

In part, that’s what this series, The Madison, is about—it shows us that connection with nature and getting away from the city after a loss.

I recently finished watching this series. I’d seen ads for it on TV and social media, and to be honest, it didn’t really catch my attention at first. But after watching the first episode, I wanted to keep watching and learn a little more about the story.

Losing a loved one is undoubtedly a very hard blow, especially when it happens unexpectedly, without warning, without giving you time for anything—not even to say goodbye. In this series, we see the pain reflected in different emotions: grief, guilt, and a total sense of detachment.

With so few episodes, yet well-structured and unfolding at a leisurely pace, it reveals each character’s emotions through a somewhat slow—and even empty—narrative, where we see them navigate that fragility, coping with the pain and loss of a loved one, with nature serving as their refuge.

As I’ve always felt and seen it, the best way to disconnect from everything is to get away from the city and seek that connection with nature and its landscapes, which convey calm and isolation—a moment of tranquility amid so much chaos. This story makes you think about how attached we tend to be to material things, when we could be happy without so much comfort.

Taylor Sheridan’s signature style is undoubtedly evident throughout this story—a world entirely removed from Yellowstone, yet one that still tells a more intimate tale, set against the isolation of the vast Montana landscape, with every valley, landscape, lake, mountain, and that sunrise that captivates you.

As for Pfeiffer’s role, the strength of this woman, and at the same time the fragility with which she bears her pain, is not easy, since she carries a heavy burden—she must deal with all of this, becoming an anchor to sustain her family, achieving what she couldn’t with her husband, and guiding her daughters toward an independence that honors their father.

In short, it’s a good story—engaging, slow-paced, and thought-provoking. Dealing with pain and grief, everyone handles it in their own way; we must respect that, give them their space and time without pressure, and, well, value those who are alive more, because once they’re gone, it’s all for nothing.
