Another Egg and Chicken Movie [ENG/ESP]

In this installment, we focus on the mission of our villain, the Witch Egg, who desperately seeks a chicken heart to perform a ritual. Toto becomes the primary target and must escape this fate. While the first film offered plenty of variety and risqué satire, this one is no exception. They've gone even further, introducing more characters who completely win over the audience, along with moments of romance, action, and other typical Mexican humor. These elements give it a unique regional touch and solidify it as a great Mexican animated comedy.

Y es que en esta entrega nos centramos en la misión de nuestro villano, el Huevo Brujo, el cual busca desesperadamente un corazón de pollo para poder llevar a cabo un ritual, por lo que Toto será el objetivo principal y quien deberá zafarse de ese destino. Ahora bien, si en la primera entrega vimos mucha variedad y sátiras subidas de tono, en esta no es la excepción, pues apostaron por más, teniendo más personajes que llegan a ganarse por completo al público y momentos de romance, acción y más típicos del humor mexicano, los cuales le dan ese toque regionalista único y que lo sella como una buena comedia mexicana al estilo de la animación.

And so we see all the characters again, now with a new subplot, this time focusing on Willy, whose journey toward his "objective or mission" was, I must say, presented perfectly. We see the reptile eggs again, and now the scorpion eggs as part of this villain's entourage, who, I must say, is my favorite character in the entire saga, not just this film. His humor and the way he uses double entendres and plot twists in his lines is something I really enjoyed; likewise, the fact that he implies any egg, animal or otherwise, can play an important role adds a lot to this character, in addition to his iconic lines that I even use myself for fun.

Y es que vemos de vuelta a todos los personajes, ahora con una nueva subtrama, esta vez con Willy, quien, debo decir, cómo se presentó su paso hacia ese "objetivo o misión de qué ser" estuvo más que perfecto. Vemos de nuevo a los huevitos de reptil y ahora a los de alacrán como parte del séquito de este villano, quien, debo decir, es mi personaje favorito de toda la saga, no solamente de esta película. Su humor y el cómo usa el doble sentido o los plot twists en sus frases es algo que me gustó mucho; así mismo, el hecho de dar a entender que cualquier huevito, sea de animal o no, puede tener un papel importante es algo que le sumó mucho a este personaje, además de sus frases icónicas que incluso yo suelo decir por diversión.

As I mentioned before, it's one of those animations that are so well-crafted and structured that they remain relevant despite the years, and this one in particular is even more so, since it's well known that there are projects that may manage to reach the audience in the first installment, but fall short when the sequel arrives, and even more so because taking an animated work out of the box of a young or specific audience and making it enjoyable regardless of age or preferences is difficult and it is undoubtedly something that this particular one has in its favor, since, despite having a simple story within its scope, they execute it so well that it goes from seeming simple or for children to something absolutely perfect.

Como lo comenté antes, es de esas animaciones que llegan a trabajarse y estructurarse tan bien que se mantienen vigentes a pesar de los años, y en esta en específico aún más, pues es bien sabido que hay proyectos que quizás logran alcanzar al público en la primera entrega, pero al llegar a la secuela se caen, y más porque sacar de la casilla de público joven o específico a un trabajo de animación y hacer que, sin importar la edad o preferencias, se pueda disfrutar, es difícil y sin duda es algo que esta en concreto tiene a su favor, ya que, a pesar de tener una historia simple dentro de lo que cabe, lo juegan tan bien que deja de verse sencillo o para niños a algo totalmente de 10 puntos.

So, in short, it's one of the best and my favorite in this film series and other animated films because of what it is; it's always recommended to watch and enjoy, so, without further ado, hoping you like it, thanks for reading.
