Saludos amantes del cine, son días difícil porque estamos en medio de una ola de calor en mi país que me dificulta muchas labores de trabajo y domésticas, por aunque he estado un poco decaída, me parece muy entretenido responder al tema de Cinetv Contest 59 el cual trata de una película con un jefe, así que les comparto mi elección y las razones por las cuales el jefe en la película es el mejor. This is one of the best-known films by actress Julia Roberts, it is based on the real life of Erin Brockovich, a woman who, working as an assistant in a law firm, manages to discover the secrets behind a case that at first was a simple one. but it hid the truth of a powerful company that after having used for years a very toxic type of chromium in its tanks and cooling systems, had contaminated all the water in a region, causing its inhabitants to suffer multiple health problems. In this film the role of the protagonist stands out, however, for me Erin's boss deserves an important place, because thanks to being a good boss she was able to achieve everything she set out to do.
Esta es una de las películas más conocidas de la actriz Julia Roberts, esta basada en la vida real de Erin Brockovich, una mujer que en trabajo como asistente en una firma de abogados logra descubrir los secretos tras un caso que al principio era una simple, pero escondía la verdad de una empresa poderosa que tras haber usado por años un tipo cromo muy tóxico en sus tanques y sistemas de enfriamiento, había contaminado toda el agua de una región causando que sus habitantes sufrieran de múltiples problemas de salud. En esta película se destaca el papel de la protagonista, sin embargo, para mi el jefe de Erin merece un lugar importante, porque gracias a ser un buen jefe ella pudo lograr todo lo que se propuso.

Currently we see how getting a job is very difficult if you are a person who has no studies or work experience, the boss took a risk by hiring Erin and he did it because something in his heart said it was the right thing to do.
La primera razón por la cual considero a Ed Masry interpretado por Albert Finney , como un buen jefe, es que el no tenia ninguna obligación de emplear a Erin en primer lugar porque el no estaba buscando empleados, ella era madre soltera y se encontraba en un a gran dificultad tras hacer tenido un accidente de tráfico, Ed como abogado no podía ayudarle pero ella le pide empleo, es decir, en cualquier caso el no tenía obligación alguna de darle empleo, pero él lo hizo porque tuvo consideración con la mujer que tenía que salir adelante con tres niños . En la actualidad vemos como conseguir un empleo es muy difícil si eres una persona que no tiene estudios o experiencia laboral , el jefe se arriesgó al contratar a Erin y lo hizo porque algo en su corazón el dijo que era lo correcto.

Erin era una mujer joven y atractiva, al ser madre soltera y estar en problemas económicos, es una situación de riesgo en la cual las mujeres deben defenderse de jefes abusivos que tratan de sacar una ventaja de su poder, pero Ed en ningún momento la irrespetó, siempre fue respetuoso, incluso en algunos momentos de discusión, en mi país es común que cuando hay una mujer atractiva los jefes actúen asquerosamente, así que Ed fue un buen ejemplo de que un hombre mayor puede ver a una empleada joven sin ninguna mala intensión.

He is also a boss who understands Erin's personal situation, so he also understands when she needs to be absent due to health problems or care for her children. He is a boss who knows that it is not easy for his employee to raise three children alone. I also think it's very good that he as the boss gives him incentives, later to continue the work, even when the investigation progressed further he gives Erin a car and a phone to be a more efficient employee and mother.
Ed también fue un jefe firme cuando debía serlo, cuando Erin no se comunicó por unos días por estar investigando su caso, al no saber los motivos de la ausencia él decide despedirla del trabajo, sin embargo, cuando Erin regresó y le dice a él lo que ella estaba investigando, el escucha las razones pero también le deja claro a ella que debe existir una mejor comunicación, que debe respetar la formalidad del empleo y que debe cumplir sus horarios y notificar sus ausencias, el desiste de su decisión de despedir a Erin pero también le da la importante lección de responsabilidad laboral. Asimismo es un jefe compresivo con la situación personal de Erin por lo que también comprende cuando ella necesita ausentarse por problemas de salud o atención a sus hijos, el es un jefe que sabe que para su empleada no es fácil criar a tres hijos sola. También me parece muy bueno que el como jefe le dé incentivos, más adelante para continuar el trabajo, incluso cuando la investigación avanzo más él le da un auto y un teléfono a Erin para ser una empleada y una madre más eficiente.

A pesar de que Erin no había estudiado derecho hizo una gran investigación del caso, Ed como jefe supo escuchar y comprendió que las dimensiones de caso eran enormes, aun así no se sintió amenazado por Erin, hay jefes que cuando ven a un empleado haciendo un trabajo más allá de sus asignaciones suele despedirla porque no quieren que un empleado lo supere o que intente sacar ventaja de su posición, pero este jefe escuchó atentamente a Erin y decide no solo apoyar los avances de ella, sino también asumir el caso de forma conjunta, donde ella investiga pero el como abogado se encargará de la demanda, en pocas palabras Ed decide tomar el caso y deja Erin como parte importante del equipo, al ver que ella tiene una importante relación con al gente de la comunidad que esta involucrada en al demanda.

I have almost always worked independently, but if I ever had a boss, I would like him to be a respectful, sensitive, empathetic and fair person like Ed.
Ed fue un jefe amable y buscó la justicia de la causa, no permitió que su ego se interpusiera, trató a Erin no como una simple asistente sino como una compañera de lucha, por eso cuando al final de la película gana el caso, hace un gran pago a Erin por sus servicios, dándole a entender que sin ella no fuese podido lograr la victoria, es decir, repartió de manera equitativa las ganancias del caso, tanto para el como para sus asociados, fue un jefe que sin duda cuesta creer que existan en la realidad. Yo casi siempre he trabajado de manera independiente, pero si algún día tuviera un jefe me gustaría que sea una persona respetuosa, sensible , empática y justa como Ed.

Vi esta película y me encanto la actuación de Julia Roberts, ella con su personaje represento muy bien a las mujeres que sacan adelante a sus hijos cuando están solas, una de las escenas que me causo mucha gracia, fue cuando el vecino se esta mudando y ella sale a llamarle la atención por el ruido, y cuando le pide su número de teléfono, ella le da todos los números de fracasos primero, de las edades de sus hijos, y hasta del monto del dinero que tiene en su cuenta de banco y al final le da el teléfono y le afirma que cero es el numero de veces que ella cree que el llamara!
También representa muy bien su papel en el trabajo donde lucha en contra de una empresa junto a su jefe. Muy buena la película, no me cansare de verla. Gracias por compartirla.
Oh si esa escena es muy graciosa sobre todo porque el se tira al suelo simulando que se desmayó de lo flechado que quedó luego de su respuesta.

Two of my favorite scenes are when Ed asks Erin how she thinks she is going to get the information and her reply was...
"They're called boobs Ed".
And my second favorite scene is where she comes into the room with the other lawyers who are astonished at the information she has and asks her how she got it and her response was "I performed sexual favors..."
