The Sound of Your Heart (2016) - Recommended Korean Dramas in The Beginning of This Week

Hello everyone and all members of CineTV Community, how are you today? I hope that all of us are always given health, happiness, and also patience in facing this life. This time, I'm back again to participate in this community, I want to share drama recommendations that might be an option for you to watch.

In the last few months, I really like watching dramas or movies from various OTP platforms such as Netflix, Disney Hotstar, Prime, etc. That's because, since the beginning of this year, I decided to buy an Android TV for my wife's birthday and we enjoyed the moment. Almost every time we have free time, we watch the latest movie or drama on Netflix, and 80% of the content on Netflix that I watch is Korean drama.

If you look at the Korean drama genre on popular streaming platforms today, almost all ongoing Korean Dramas have confusing stories and stories, and make us overthink. Because of that, I tried to find Korean Dramas to watch, and finally I found one very entertaining drama to watch anytime, especially on weekends, namely The Sound of Your Heart.

Synopsis
Jo Suk (played by Lee-Kwang Soo), an amateur webtoon artist named whose webtoo work is always rejected by the editors and considered as unemployed by Jo Suk's family. One day, Jo Suk was very frustrated because his webtoon was always rejected by publishers making a Web Toon comedy centered on his life with his family and girlfriend, and a webtoon with that theme became liked by many people and made him a professional artist webtoon.

Why do I recommend this drama to my friends in this community?

A Very Funny Comedy Drama
The Sound of Your Heart is a Korean drama that was produced and aired at the end of 2016. This drama is a comedy and slice of life genre based on a popular Korean webtoon entitled "Maeumui Sori" which was published in 2006. This drama is very, very funny, every moment is very funny, especially the comedy which is sometimes very absurd. The Sound of Your Heart is a type of situation comedy where each episode has a different and sometimes unrelated story.

Lee Kwang-Soo, who plays Jo Suk, succeeded in giving us maximum humor, especially his image as a player in Running Man has guaranteed the humor of this drama. The first episode is already very funny, one of the premise of the story I will spoiler. Jo Suk Father's (Kim Byung-OK) has a fried chicken restaurant business but it doesn't sell very well, so he often becomes an extra in dramas or movies.

One time, he became a drama extra as a North Korean soldier. When shooting breaks, he falls asleep for a long time, and wakes up at night. He walked around in his North Korean uniform and made a South Korean stir because he thought the North Korean army would attack. That's one of the best moments in this drama, but there are still lots of other funny and absurd moments. Not to mention the story about his mother and sister who are also very funny and with character, every episode is a guarantee for us to always laugh.

One of my favorite Korean actresses is Jo Sung Min who plays Jo Suk's girlfriend. I have watched several dramas such as Alchemys of Soul (2022) and Because This is My First Love (2017), in the two Korean dramas with different genres, Jo Sung Min also looks very stunning. In this drama, Jo Sung Min also succeeded in providing entertainment and humor for the audience. Jo Sung Min doesn't hesitate to make silly scenes without a doubt destroying his beauty image.

Short duration
The Sound of Your Heart can be watched on Netflix. The drama actually has 20 episodes and each episode is about 15 minutes long, Netflix makes it two episodes for one show. We can think of the duration of this drama as a punchline comedy attack. Every minute, we can get two or three punchline comedy.

The duration is only 30 minutes per episode, so we can marathon finish this drama for one day, if we are unemployed of course. The story is light and very refreshing, I almost gasped for breath from laughing too much while watching this drama.

For me, this drama is very suitable for us to watch to overcome our boredom towards other drama genres. We know, Korean dramas are usually always about love, sometimes there are also some thriller, political or conspiracy drama genres that make our heads spin. The Sound of Your Heart is perfect for those of us who want to laugh without overthinking. Happy watching friends.
