The charm and good humour of "Catherine Called Birdy" enveloped me from the very first frame, transporting me to medieval England thanks to its perfect setting.

To see through Catherine's irreverent eyes was to relive my teenage years through her mischievousness. Seeking adventure and rebelling against the norms, I understood her perfectly.

Under the wise direction of Lena Dunham, every actor shines and the chemistry between them shines through. Bella Ramsey literally stole my heart with her mischievous charm.

I found the story of a young woman determined to choose her destiny, despite the times, to be as timely as it is entertaining, its acid humour exuding the perfect feminist comedy.

I was able to laugh and be moved by its sweeter moments, the crazy things Catherine comes up with to escape potential marriages had me in stitches.

Without falling into anachronisms, she knew how to portray a time of change and that youthful rebelliousness that we all understand. A little gem that marks Dunham's great year.

I wouldn't be surprised if she adds more fans and new adaptations. Its freshness will make it unforgettable for a long time to come.
