The thriller "Flightplan" directed by Robert Schwentke proved to be a pleasant and stimulating big-screen experience.

With an as intense as ever Jodie Foster at the helm of the cast, it manages to keep the viewer on the edge of their seat throughout the film thanks to its gripping mystery.

The simple but effective story about a passenger whose daughter seems to mysteriously disappear from a plane in flight sets up interesting plot twists that are impossible to predict.

Schwentke films in the meticulous claustrophobic style required by the plot, making the most of the limited location. Peter Sarsgaard and Sean Bean contribute key roles.

Despite a modest budget, the visual effects feel entirely authentic to the intriguing aerial setting.

"Flightplan is able to thrill through its intense protagonist and the growing uncertainty.

A suspenseful film that keeps the audience on edge until the surprising last frame.

It is a solid entertainment that celebrates the genre's potential to distract and disturb in equal measure.

Highly recommended for fans of psychological suspense.
