My opinion about the film "Highlander"

"Highlander is a gem. It has a lot of heart and creates a whole new world.
From a visual point of view, this film is something else. The aesthetics of this film are fantastic.
A dirty, dark city. Flashbacks to medieval Scotland, between mountains and meadows. Perfect contrast. Warrior wearing jeans and wielding a katana. What more do you want? ? ?
The film is famous for its Queen soundtrack. 3 or 4 songs that fit well with the story. They were written by each member for super specific moments in the film.

Queen's music gives it a mystique that elevates everything else. Not just the songs, but all the music conveys this epic material.
Highlanders features some very colourful and well-defined characters.
Our hero is Connor, an ordinary man who discovers he is immortal. Played by Christopher Lambert, his performance is more brutal than the reality. He must learn to live with it.
Fortunately he has a teacher, his good friend Ramirez. Played by the magnificent Sean Connery, he steals the film in 15 minutes. He teaches him how to fight and protect himself. He will need it because opposite him will be the great Clancy Brown, playing one of the most iconic villains in history. All three are animals and you can tell they gave it their all. Physically, emotionally.

The film has a deep subliminal theme, delving into the concept of time and the potential for immortality.
It explores the idea of giving things up along the way and the isolation that comes with it.
The characters experience multiple lives but are left with only the memory of their experiences, creating a sense of melancholy in the atmosphere.
Despite this, the juxtaposition of the impressive and intense sword fights provides a striking contrast.

Man, the 1980s had some of the best sword movies ever. I used to love this fantasy gem as a kid and I still love it now. Sean Connery was great and that music by Queen so amazing; too bad they never released a soundtrack of this movie.
