The ambitious Yellowstone blockbuster "1923" confirmed Taylor Sheridan's unstoppable creative momentum in the West.

Starring such luminaries as Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford, it tells in 8 episodes the story of the next generation of the Dutton family in the same mountain setting.

Chronologically laserie is set after 1883.

What surprised me the most was the tremendous deployment of means with which Paramount invested in this prequel, achieving an almost cinematographic style.

Sheridan once again masterfully unites family intrigue, violent action and a portrait of a time of change for the Wild West.

Mirren and Ford bring their unrivalled charisma to the new Dutton patriarchs, introducing us to the roots of this saga.

A season 2 announced by Amazon for April 2024 awaits me, and it is curious to see how the author delineates the events leading up to John Dutton III in the first trilogy.

A blockbuster that raises the bar for western series and confirms Sheridan among the indispensable authors of the medium.
