Thirty-six years since the premiere of the movie Highlander

On August 29, 1986, one of the most emblematic action and fantasy films of the 1980s was released in the United Kingdom: Highlander, an Anglo-American production directed by Australian Russell Mulcahy.
It stars Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery (whose presence adds to the prestige of the film) and the absolutely correct Clancy Brown as the villains of the story.
The original English title refers to the protagonist's lineage: Highland Scots or Highlanders.
The film was released in the United States from March 7, 1986, but failed miserably at the U.S. box office.

However, it performed much better in other parts of the world, and then achieved the well-deserved cult status it has today thanks to VHS and digital formats.
In addition, the soundtrack with the participation of composer Michael Kamen and the British band "Queen" also managed to surpass the musical composition and become a today's classic.
The film tells the story of Conor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert), a fairy who was born in 1518 on the banks of Loch Hill in the Scottish Highlands. McLeod belonged to a rare and select group of reserved immortal warriors who were destined to fight each other until only one remained.

The plot of the film is contemporary to its date of release, and narrates fictional events of 1985, in which the current action of the story takes place, although analepsis is often used to narrate important events of the sixteenth century related to the protagonist.
