Hello cinephile friends, attending the Cine Tv contest about romantic movies, today I want to share with you about one of the few romantic movies I have watched and that I loved, the truth is this movie genre is not one of my favorites, but there is no reason for that, I simply have a preference for genres like horror, but now that I think about it I have missed the experience of enjoying a good romantic movie, so I will be more open to this kind of movies.

Well, I want to tell you about "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", a romance and science fiction movie, produced in 2004, directed by Michel Gondry, and starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet; which tells the story of Joel Barish, a shy man whose life does not seem very interesting, until he meets Clementine Kruczynski, a cheerful, extroverted and very authentic girl. They start a relationship, but after a while they begin to have some differences, and one day like any other, Joel realizes that Clementine does not know him completely, as if they had never met, soon Joel discovers that Clementine has gone to a laboratory to erase his memories with Joel, so he decides to do the same and begins the process of erasure, but during the procedure he regrets and tries to save Clementine's memories, taking actions within his own mind.

It is customary to see Jim Carrey starring in comedy movies, I have always admired this actor because he makes me laugh incredibly, I do not remember who told me once, that Jim Carrey was not so good comedian, that he just knew how to make faces, but in my opinion this is not true, of course he has an exceptional talent to play with his facial expressions, But Carrey is much more than that, and in this movie I think he shows his versatility, because he is able to characterize a person who is the opposite, he is not funny at all, he is boring, a sad and lonely man, and at no time is shocking, because sometimes it is not possible for us to digest the performance of comedians in roles that are not comedy.

This film made me think and reflect on several things, one of them, is how people get carried away by impulses and take actions without measuring the consequences, sometimes we ruin something important, even wonderful, for a moment of anger, we ignore the power of words over others and say or do anything that feeds our ego. In this film, our protagonist realizes the mistake he has made, he has decided to erase from his mind the happiest moments of his life, for a moment of anger. Does it sound familiar, have you ever ruined a great relationship for a moment of anger?

On the other hand, the act of erasing memories seems to me to be a betrayal to life itself, what would become of us without our memories, if we have no past we are nothing and nobody. In the romantic field, I believe that what we have lived with those we have had a relationship with in the past, makes us better for our current partner, why erasing the experiences, the happy and sad moments, it is the school of life, which we must use in our favor, and in favor of those we love.

One of my favorite parts of this movie is when Joel takes Clementine into his past memories to save her from the erasure process. It would seem to me a wonderful act if we could take those we love to live for a moment the events that have marked us in the past and that we remember best, if we could be together for a moment in the past, experiencing together the happy moments of our life. I have always been curious to see the photo albums of the people I love and hear a little of their past.

At the end of this film, Joel and Clementine tell each other why they decided to erase themselves from memory, and as they listen to each other they can't help but laugh at how absurd their motives sound. It's a vital scene in this film that makes us see life differently.

Hola amigos cinéfilos, atendiendo al concurso de Cine Tv sobre películas románticas, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes acerca de una de las pocas películas románticas que he visto y que me ha encantado, la verdad este género cinematográfico no es de mis favoritos, pero no hay una razón para ello, simplemente tengo preferencia por géneros como el terror, pero ahora que lo pienso me he perdido la experiencia de disfrutar de una buena película romántica, por lo que estaré más abierto a este tipo de películas.

Y bien, quiero hablarles de “Eterno resplandor de una mente sin recuerdos”, una película de romance y ciencia ficción, producida en 2004, dirigida por Michel Gondry, y protagonizada por Jim Carrey y Kate Winslet; la cual nos relata la historia de Joel Barish, un hombre retraído cuya vida no parece muy interesante, hasta que conoce a Clementine Kruczynski, una chica alegre, extrovertida y muy autentica. Ellos inician una relación, pero pasado un tiempo empiezan a tener algunas diferencias, y un día como cualquier otro, Joel se da cuenta que Clementine lo desconoce completamente, como si jamás se hubiesen conocido, pronto Joel descubre que Clementine ha acudido a un laboratorio para borrar sus recuerdos con Joel, por lo tanto él decide hacer lo mismo y empieza su proceso de borrado, pero durante el procedimiento este se arrepiente e intenta salvar los recuerdos de Clementine, tomando acciones dentro de su propia mente.

Es costumbre ver a Jim Carrey protagonizando películas de comedia, siempre he admirado a este actor porque me hace reír increíblemente, no recuerdo quien me dijo en alguna ocasión, que Jim Carrey no era tan buen comediante, que simplemente sabía hacer caras, pero a mi parecer esto no es cierto, por supuesto que tiene un talento excepcional para jugar con sus expresiones faciales, pero Carrey es mucho más que eso, y en esta película me parece que demuestra su versatilidad, pues es capaz de caracterizar a un persona que es todo lo contrario, no es nada divertida, es aburrida, un hombre triste y solitario, y en ningún momento resulta chocante , pues en ocasiones no nos resulta posible digerir la actuación de comediantes en papeles que no son de comedia.

Esta película me hizo pensar y reflexionar sobre varias cosas, una de ellas, es como las personas nos dejamos llevar por los impulsos y tomamos acciones sin medir las consecuencias, en ocasiones arruinamos algo importante, incluso maravilloso, por un momento de enojo, ignoramos el poder de las palabras sobre los demás y decimos o hacemos cualquier cosa que alimente nuestro ego. En este film, nuestro protagonista se da cuenta del error que ha cometido, ha decido borrar de su mente los momentos más felices de su vida, por un momento de cólera. ¿Les suena familiar, alguna vez han arruinado una relación grandiosa por un momento de enojo?

Por otro lado, el acto de borrar los recuerdos me parece una traición a la vida misma, qué sería de nosotros sin nuestros recuerdos, si no tenemos pasado no somos nada, ni nadie. En el ámbito romántico, creo que lo que hemos vivido con quienes hemos tenido una relación en el pasado, nos hace mejores para nuestra actual pareja, por qué borrar las vivencias los momentos felices y tristes, es la escuela de la vida, la cual debemos utilizar en nuestro favor, y en favor de quienes amamos.

Una de las partes que más me gustan de esta película, es cunado Joel lleva a Clementine a sus recuerdos del pasado para salvarla del proceso de borrado. Me parecería un acto maravilloso si pudiésemos llevar a quienes amamos a vivir por un momento los eventos que nos han marcado y que mejor recordamos, si pudiésemos estar juntos por un momento en pasado, experimentando juntos los momentos felices de nuestra vida. Siempre me ha causado curiosidad ver los álbumes fotográficos de las personas que quiero y oír un poco de su pasado.

Al final de este film, Joel y Clementine se dicen mutuamente por que decidieron borrarse del recuerdo, y al escucharse no pueden evitar reírse de lo absurdo que se oyen sus motivos. Es una escena vital en este film que nos hace ver la vida de otra forma.
